Luke 22
1 And the feast of unleavened cakes, which is called the passover, drew near.
அபரஞ்ச கிண்வஸூ²ந்யபூபோத்ஸவஸ்ய கால உபஸ்தி²தே
2 And the chief priests and Scribes sought how they might kill him, for they were afraid of the people.
ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா அத்⁴யாயகாஸ்²ச யதா² தம்’ ஹந்தும்’ ஸ²க்நுவந்தி ததோ²பாயாம் அசேஷ்டந்த கிந்து லோகேப்⁴யோ பி³ப்⁴யு: |
3 And Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.
ஏதஸ்திந் ஸமயே த்³வாத³ஸ²ஸி²ஷ்யேஷு க³ணித ஈஷ்கரியோதீயரூடி⁴மாந் யோ யிஹூதா³ஸ்தஸ்யாந்த: கரணம்’ ஸை²தாநாஸ்²ரிதத்வாத்
4 And he went and conferred with the chief priests and Scribes, and the military commanders of the temple, how he might betray him to them.
ஸ க³த்வா யதா² யீஸு²ம்’ தேஷாம்’ கரேஷு ஸமர்பயிதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி ததா² மந்த்ரணாம்’ ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகை: ஸேநாபதிபி⁴ஸ்²ச ஸஹ சகார|
5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
தேந தே துஷ்டாஸ்தஸ்மை முத்³ராம்’ தா³தும்’ பணம்’ சக்ரு: |
6 And he promised them, and sought opportunity to betray him to them, in the absence of the multitude.
தத: ஸோங்கீ³க்ரு’த்ய யதா² லோகாநாமகோ³சரே தம்’ பரகரேஷு ஸமர்பயிதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி ததா²வகாஸ²ம்’ சேஷ்டிதுமாரேபே⁴|
7 And the day of unleavened cakes arrived, on which it was customary for the passover to be slain.
அத² கிண்வஸூ²ந்யபூபோத்மவதி³நே, அர்தா²த் யஸ்மிந் தி³நே நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸ்ய மேஷோ ஹந்தவ்யஸ்தஸ்மிந் தி³நே
8 And Jesus sent Cephas and John, and said to them; Go, prepare for us the passover, that we may eat it.
யீஸு²: பிதரம்’ யோஹநஞ்சாஹூய ஜகா³த³, யுவாம்’ க³த்வாஸ்மாகம்’ போ⁴ஜநார்த²ம்’ நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸ்ய த்³ரவ்யாண்யாஸாத³யதம்’|
9 And they said to him: Where wilt thou, that we prepare?
ததா³ தௌ பப்ரச்ச²து: குசாஸாத³யாவோ ப⁴வத: கேச்சா²?
10 He said to them: Lo, when ye enter the city, there will a man meet you, bearing a vessel of water. Go after him;
ததா³ ஸோவாதீ³த், நக³ரே ப்ரவிஷ்டே கஸ்²சிஜ்ஜலகும்ப⁴மாதா³ய யுவாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் கரிஷ்யதி ஸ யந்நிவேஸ²நம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²தி யுவாமபி தந்நிவேஸ²நம்’ தத்பஸ்²சாதி³த்வா நிவேஸ²நபதிம் இதி வாக்யம்’ வத³தம்’,
11 and where he entereth, say ye to the lord of the house: Our Rabbi saith, Is there a place of refreshment, in which I may eat the Passover, with my disciples?
யத்ராஹம்’ நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸ்ய போ⁴ஜ்யம்’ ஸி²ஷ்யை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ போ⁴க்தும்’ ஸ²க்நோமி ஸாதிதி²ஸா²லா குத்ர? கதா²மிமாம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்த்வாம்’ ப்ரு’ச்ச²தி|
12 And lo, he will show you a large upper room that is furnished; there prepare ye.
தத: ஸ ஜநோ த்³விதீயப்ரகோஷ்டீ²யம் ஏகம்’ ஸ²ஸ்தம்’ கோஷ்ட²ம்’ த³ர்ஸ²யிஷ்யதி தத்ர போ⁴ஜ்யமாஸாத³யதம்’|
13 And they went, and found as he had said to them: and they made ready the passover.
ததஸ்தௌ க³த்வா தத்³வாக்யாநுஸாரேண ஸர்வ்வம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்த்³வா தத்ர நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவீயம்’ போ⁴ஜ்யமாஸாத³யாமாஸது: |
14 And when the time arrived, Jesus came and reclined; and the twelve Legates with him.
அத² கால உபஸ்தி²தே யீஸு² ர்த்³வாத³ஸ²பி⁴: ப்ரேரிதை: ஸஹ போ⁴க்துமுபவிஸ்²ய கதி²தவாந்
15 And he said to them: I have greatly desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer.
மம து³: க²போ⁴கா³த் பூர்வ்வம்’ யுபா⁴பி⁴: ஸஹ நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸ்யைதஸ்ய போ⁴ஜ்யம்’ போ⁴க்தும்’ மயாதிவாஞ்சா² க்ரு’தா|
16 For I say to you, That henceforth I shall not eat it, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
யுஷ்மாந் வதா³மி, யாவத்காலம் ஈஸ்²வரராஜ்யே போ⁴ஜநம்’ ந கரிஷ்யே தாவத்காலம் இத³ம்’ ந போ⁴க்ஷ்யே|
17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said: Take this, and divide it among you.
ததா³ ஸ பாநபாத்ரமாதா³ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய கு³ணாந் கீர்த்தயித்வா தேப்⁴யோ த³த்வாவத³த், இத³ம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லீத யூயம்’ விப⁴ஜ்ய பிவத|
18 For I say to you, That I shall not drink of the product of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
யுஷ்மாந் வதா³மி யாவத்காலம் ஈஸ்²வரராஜத்வஸ்ய ஸம்’ஸ்தா²பநம்’ ந ப⁴வதி தாவத்³ த்³ராக்ஷாப²லரஸம்’ ந பாஸ்யாமி|
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to them, and said: This is my body, which is given for your sakes. This do ye, in remembrance of me.
தத: பூபம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா ஈஸ்²வரகு³ணாந் கீர்த்தயித்வா ப⁴ங்க்தா தேப்⁴யோ த³த்வாவத³த், யுஷ்மத³ர்த²ம்’ ஸமர்பிதம்’ யந்மம வபுஸ்ததி³த³ம்’, ஏதத் கர்ம்ம மம ஸ்மரணார்த²ம்’ குருத்⁴வம்’|
20 And in like manner also concerning the cup, after they had supped, he said: This cup is the new testament in my blood, which, for your sakes, is poured out!
அத² போ⁴ஜநாந்தே தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ பாத்ரம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வாவத³த், யுஷ்மத்க்ரு’தே பாதிதம்’ யந்மம ரக்தம்’ தேந நிர்ணீதநவநியமரூபம்’ பாநபாத்ரமித³ம்’|
21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is on the table.
பஸ்²யத யோ மாம்’ பரகரேஷு ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதி ஸ மயா ஸஹ போ⁴ஜநாஸந உபவிஸ²தி|
22 And the Son of man goeth, as it was determined; but woe to that man, by whom he is betrayed.
யதா² நிரூபிதமாஸ்தே தத³நுஸாரேணா மநுஷ்யபுத்ரஸ்ய க³தி ர்ப⁴விஷ்யதி கிந்து யஸ்தம்’ பரகரேஷு ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதி தஸ்ய ஸந்தாபோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
23 And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was, that would do this.
ததா³ தேஷாம்’ கோ ஜந ஏதத் கர்ம்ம கரிஷ்யதி தத் தே பரஸ்பரம்’ ப்ரஷ்டுமாரேபி⁴ரே|
24 And there was contention also among them, who among them would be greatest.
அபரம்’ தேஷாம்’ கோ ஜந: ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²த்வேந க³ணயிஷ்யதே, அத்ரார்தே² தேஷாம்’ விவாதோ³ப⁴வத்|
25 And Jesus said to them: The kings of the nations, are their lords; and those exercising authority over them, are called benefactors.
அஸ்மாத் காரணாத் ஸோவத³த், அந்யதே³ஸீ²யாநாம்’ ராஜாந: ப்ரஜாநாமுபரி ப்ரபு⁴த்வம்’ குர்வ்வந்தி தா³ருணஸா²ஸநம்’ க்ரு’த்வாபி தே பூ⁴பதித்வேந விக்²யாதா ப⁴வந்தி ச|
26 But ye, not so: but he that is great among you, must be as the least; and he that is chief, as the servitor.
கிந்து யுஷ்மாகம்’ ததா² ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி, யோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸ்²ரேஷ்டோ² ப⁴விஷ்யதி ஸ கநிஷ்ட²வத்³ ப⁴வது, யஸ்²ச முக்²யோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி ஸ ஸேவகவத்³ப⁴வது|
27 For, which is the greater, he that reclineth, or he that serveth? Is not he that reclineth? But I am among you, as he that serveth.
போ⁴ஜநோபவிஷ்டபரிசாரகயோ: க: ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²: ? யோ போ⁴ஜநாயோபவிஸ²தி ஸ கிம்’ ஸ்²ரேஷ்டோ² ந ப⁴வதி? கிந்து யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே(அ)ஹம்’ பரிசாரகஇவாஸ்மி|
28 Ye are they who have continued with me in my trials:
அபரஞ்ச யுயம்’ மம பரீக்ஷாகாலே ப்ரத²மமாரப்⁴ய மயா ஸஹ ஸ்தி²தா
29 and I promise to you, as my Father hath promised to me, a kingdom:
ஏதத்காரணாத் பித்ரா யதா² மத³ர்த²ம்’ ராஜ்யமேகம்’ நிரூபிதம்’ ததா²ஹமபி யுஷ்மத³ர்த²ம்’ ராஜ்யம்’ நிரூபயாமி|
30 that ye may eat and drink at the table of my kingdom, and may sit on thrones, and judge the twelve tribes of Israel.
தஸ்மாந் மம ராஜ்யே போ⁴ஜநாஸநே ச போ⁴ஜநபாநே கரிஷ்யத்⁴வே ஸிம்’ஹாஸநேஷூபவிஸ்²ய சேஸ்ராயேலீயாநாம்’ த்³வாத³ஸ²வம்’ஸா²நாம்’ விசாரம்’ கரிஷ்யத்⁴வே|
31 And Jesus said to Simon: Simon, lo, Satan hath desired to sift thee, as wheat:
அபரம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ருவாச, ஹே ஸி²மோந் பஸ்²ய திதஉநா தா⁴ந்யாநீவ யுஷ்மாந் ஸை²தாந் சாலயிதும் ஐச்ச²த்,
32 but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith may not fail. And thou also, in time, turn; and confirm thy brethren.
கிந்து தவ விஸ்²வாஸஸ்ய லோபோ யதா² ந ப⁴வதி ஏதத் த்வத³ர்த²ம்’ ப்ரார்தி²தம்’ மயா, த்வந்மநஸி பரிவர்த்திதே ச ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ணாம்’ மநாம்’ஸி ஸ்தி²ரீகுரு|
33 And Simon said to him: My Lord, with thee I am ready, both for prison and for death.
ததா³ ஸோவத³த், ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ஹம்’ த்வயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ காராம்’ ம்ரு’திஞ்ச யாதும்’ மஜ்ஜிதோஸ்மி|
34 Jesus said to him: 1 tell thee, Simon, the cock will not crow this day, until thou hast three times denied that thou knowest me.
தத: ஸ உவாச, ஹே பிதர த்வாம்’ வதா³மி, அத்³ய குக்குடரவாத் பூர்வ்வம்’ த்வம்’ மத்பரிசயம்’ வாரத்ரயம் அபஹ்வோஷ்யஸே|
35 And he said to them: When I sent you without purses, without wallets and shoes, lacked ye any thing? They say to him: Nothing.
அபரம்’ ஸ பப்ரச்ச², யதா³ முத்³ராஸம்புடம்’ கா²த்³யபாத்ரம்’ பாது³காஞ்ச விநா யுஷ்மாந் ப்ராஹிணவம்’ ததா³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ கஸ்யாபி ந்யூநதாஸீத்? தே ப்ரோசு: கஸ்யாபி ந|
36 He said to them: Henceforth, let him that hath a purse, take it; and so likewise a wallet. And let him that hath no sword, sell his garment, and buy himself a sword.
ததா³ ஸோவத³த் கிந்த்விதா³நீம்’ முத்³ராஸம்புடம்’ கா²த்³யபாத்ரம்’ வா யஸ்யாஸ்தி தேந தத்³க்³ரஹீதவ்யம்’, யஸ்ய ச க்ரு’பாணோ நாஸ்தி தேந ஸ்வவஸ்த்ரம்’ விக்ரீய ஸ க்ரேதவ்ய: |
37 For I say to you, That this also, which was written, must be fulfilled in me: I shall be numbered with transgressors. For, all that relates to me, will be fulfilled.
யதோ யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி, அபராதி⁴ஜநை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ க³ணித: ஸ ப⁴விஷ்யதி| இத³ம்’ யச்சா²ஸ்த்ரீயம்’ வசநம்’ லிகி²தமஸ்தி தந்மயி ப²லிஷ்யதி யதோ மம ஸம்ப³ந்தீ⁴யம்’ ஸர்வ்வம்’ ஸேத்ஸ்யதி|
38 And they said to him: Our Lord, lo, here are two swords. He said to them: They are sufficient.
ததா³ தே ப்ரோசு: ப்ரபோ⁴ பஸ்²ய இமௌ க்ரு’பாணௌ| தத: ஸோவத³த்³ ஏதௌ யதே²ஷ்டௌ|
39 And he went out, and proceeded, as was his custom, to the mount of the place of Olives; and his disciples followed him.
அத² ஸ தஸ்மாத்³வஹி ர்க³த்வா ஸ்வாசாராநுஸாரேண ஜைதுநநாமாத்³ரிம்’ ஜகா³ம ஸி²ஷ்யாஸ்²ச தத்பஸ்²சாத்³ யயு: |
40 And when he arrived at the place, he said to them: Pray ye, that ye enter not into temptation.
தத்ரோபஸ்தா²ய ஸ தாநுவாச, யதா² பரீக்ஷாயாம்’ ந பதத² தத³ர்த²ம்’ ப்ரார்த²யத்⁴வம்’|
41 And he retired from them, about a stone's throw; and kneeled down, and prayed,
பஸ்²சாத் ஸ தஸ்மாத்³ ஏகஸ²ரக்ஷேபாத்³ ப³ஹி ர்க³த்வா ஜாநுநீ பாதயித்வா ஏதத் ப்ரார்த²யாஞ்சக்ரே,
42 and said: Father, if it please thee, let this cup pass from me. Yet not my pleasure, but thine, be done.
ஹே பித ர்யதி³ ப⁴வாந் ஸம்மந்யதே தர்ஹி கம்’ஸமேநம்’ மமாந்திகாத்³ தூ³ரய கிந்து மதி³ச்சா²நுரூபம்’ ந த்வதி³ச்சா²நுரூபம்’ ப⁴வது|
43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, who strengthened him.
ததா³ தஸ்மை ஸ²க்திம்’ தா³தும்’ ஸ்வர்கீ³யதூ³தோ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³தௌ³|
44 And as he was in fear, he prayed earnestly; and his sweat was like drops of blood; and it fell on the ground.
பஸ்²சாத் ஸோத்யந்தம்’ யாதநயா வ்யாகுலோ பூ⁴த்வா புநர்த்³ரு’ட⁴ம்’ ப்ரார்த²யாஞ்சக்ரே, தஸ்மாத்³ ப்³ரு’ஹச்சோ²ணிதபி³ந்த³வ இவ தஸ்ய ஸ்வேத³பி³ந்த³வ: ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாம்’ பதிதுமாரேபி⁴ரே|
45 And he arose from his prayer, and came to his disciples: and he found them sleeping, from sorrow.
அத² ப்ரார்த²நாத உத்தா²ய ஸி²ஷ்யாணாம்’ ஸமீபமேத்ய தாந் மநோது³: கி²நோ நித்³ரிதாந் த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வாவத³த்
46 And he said to them: Why sleep ye? Arise, and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
குதோ நித்³ராத²? பரீக்ஷாயாம் அபதநார்த²ம்’ ப்ரர்த²யத்⁴வம்’|
47 And while he was speaking, lo, a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, came at their head. And he came up to Jesus, and kissed him. For he had given them this sign: Whom I shall kiss, he it is.
ஏதத்கதா²யா: கத²நகாலே த்³வாத³ஸ²ஸி²ஷ்யாணாம்’ மத்⁴யே க³ணிதோ யிஹூதா³நாமா ஜநதாஸஹிதஸ்தேஷாம் அக்³ரே சலித்வா யீஸோ²ஸ்²சும்ப³நார்த²ம்’ தத³ந்திகம் ஆயயௌ|
48 Jesus said to him: Judas, is it with a kiss thou betrayest the Son of man?
ததா³ யீஸு²ருவாச, ஹே யிஹூதா³ கிம்’ சும்ப³நேந மநுஷ்யபுத்ரம்’ பரகரேஷு ஸமர்பயஸி?
49 And when they that were with him, saw what occurred, they said to him: Our Lord, shall we smite them with the sword?
ததா³ யத்³யத்³ க⁴டிஷ்யதே தத³நுமாய ஸங்கி³பி⁴ருக்தம்’, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ வயம்’ கி க²ங்கே³ந கா⁴தயிஷ்யாம: ?
50 And one of them smote a servant of the high priest, and took off his right ear.
தத ஏக: கரவாலேநாஹத்ய ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகஸ்ய தா³ஸஸ்ய த³க்ஷிணம்’ கர்ணம்’ சிச்சே²த³|
51 And Jesus answered and said: Sufficient, thus far. And he touched the ear of him that was smitten, and healed him.
அதூ⁴நா நிவர்த்தஸ்வ இத்யுக்த்வா யீஸு²ஸ்தஸ்ய ஸ்²ருதிம்’ ஸ்ப்ரு’ஷ்ட்வா ஸ்வஸ்யம்’ சகார|
52 And Jesus said to those who had come upon him, the chief priests and Elders and military captains of the temple: Have ye come out against me, as against a robber, with swords, and with clubs, to take me?
பஸ்²சாத்³ யீஸு²: ஸமீபஸ்தா²ந் ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகாந் மந்தி³ரஸ்ய ஸேநாபதீந் ப்ராசீநாம்’ஸ்²ச ஜகா³த³, யூயம்’ க்ரு’பாணாந் யஷ்டீம்’ஸ்²ச க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா மாம்’ கிம்’ சோரம்’ த⁴ர்த்துமாயாதா: ?
53 I was with you daily in the temple, and ye laid not hands upon me. But this is your hour, and the reign of darkness.
யதா³ஹம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸஹ ப்ரதிதி³நம்’ மந்தி³ரே(அ)திஷ்ட²ம்’ ததா³ மாம்’ த⁴ர்த்தம்’ ந ப்ரவ்ரு’த்தா: , கிந்த்விதா³நீம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமயோந்த⁴காரஸ்ய சாதி⁴பத்யமஸ்தி|
54 And they took him, and conducted him to the house of the high priest. And Simon followed after him, at a distance.
அத² தே தம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா மஹாயாஜகஸ்ய நிவேஸ²நம்’ நிந்யு: | தத: பிதரோ தூ³ரே தூ³ரே பஸ்²சாதி³த்வா
55 And they kindled a fire in the middle of the court, and sat around it; and Simon also sat among them.
ப்³ரு’ஹத்கோஷ்ட²ஸ்ய மத்⁴யே யத்ராக்³நிம்’ ஜ்வாலயித்வா லோகா: ஸமேத்யோபவிஷ்டாஸ்தத்ர தை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம் உபவிவேஸ²|
56 And a certain maid saw him sitting at the fire, and she looked upon him, and said: This man also was with him.
அத² வஹ்நிஸந்நிதௌ⁴ ஸமுபவேஸ²காலே காசித்³தா³ஸீ மநோ நிவிஸ்²ய தம்’ நிரீக்ஷ்யாவத³த் புமாநயம்’ தஸ்ய ஸங்கே³(அ)ஸ்தா²த்|
57 But he denied, and said: Woman, I have not known him.
கிந்து ஸ தத்³ அபஹ்நுத்யாவாதீ³த் ஹே நாரி தமஹம்’ ந பரிசிநோமி|
58 And a little after, another person saw him, and said to him: Thou too art one of them. And Cephas said: I am not.
க்ஷணாந்தரே(அ)ந்யஜநஸ்தம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வாப்³ரவீத் த்வமபி தேஷாம்’ நிகரஸ்யைகஜநோஸி| பிதர: ப்ரத்யுவாச ஹே நர நாஹமஸ்மி|
59 And an hour after, another contended and said: Certainly, this man also was with him, for he likewise is a Galilean.
தத: ஸார்த்³த⁴த³ண்ட³த்³வயாத் பரம்’ புநரந்யோ ஜநோ நிஸ்²சித்ய ப³பா⁴ஷே, ஏஷ தஸ்ய ஸங்கீ³தி ஸத்யம்’ யதோயம்’ கா³லீலீயோ லோக: |
60 Cephas said: Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he was speaking, the cock crew.
ததா³ பிதர உவாச ஹே நர த்வம்’ யத்³ வத³மி தத³ஹம்’ போ³த்³து⁴ம்’ ந ஸ²க்நோமி, இதி வாக்யே கதி²தமாத்ரே குக்குடோ ருராவ|
61 And Jesus turned, and looked upon Cephas. And Simon remembered the word of our Lord, which he spoke to him: Before the cock shall crow, thou wilt deny me three times.
ததா³ ப்ரபு⁴ணா வ்யாது⁴ட்ய பிதரே நிரீக்ஷிதே க்ரு’கவாகுரவாத் பூர்வ்வம்’ மாம்’ த்ரிரபஹ்நோஷ்யஸே இதி பூர்வ்வோக்தம்’ தஸ்ய வாக்யம்’ பிதர: ஸ்ம்ரு’த்வா
62 And Simon went out, and wept bitterly.
ப³ஹிர்க³த்வா மஹாகே²தே³ந சக்ரந்த³|
63 And the men who had taken Jesus, insulted him, and blinded him,
ததா³ யை ர்யீஸு²ர்த்⁴ரு’தஸ்தே தமுபஹஸ்ய ப்ரஹர்த்துமாரேபி⁴ரே|
64 and smote him on his face, and said: Prophesy thou, who smote thee?
வஸ்த்ரேண தஸ்ய த்³ரு’ஸௌ² ப³த்³த்⁴வா கபோலே சபேடாகா⁴தம்’ க்ரு’த்வா பப்ரச்சு²: , கஸ்தே கபோலே சபேடாகா⁴தம்’ க்ரு’தவாந? க³ணயித்வா தத்³ வத³|
65 And many other things they revilingly uttered, and spoke against him.
தத³ந்யத் தத்³விருத்³த⁴ம்’ ப³ஹுநிந்தா³வாக்யம்’ வக்துமாரேபி⁴ரே|
66 And when the day dawned, the Elders and chief priests and Scribes assembled together; and they led him to the place of their meeting,
அத² ப்ரபா⁴தே ஸதி லோகப்ராஞ்ச: ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா அத்⁴யாபகாஸ்²ச ஸபா⁴ம்’ க்ரு’த்வா மத்⁴யேஸப⁴ம்’ யீஸு²மாநீய பப்ரச்சு²: , த்வம் அபி⁴ஷிகதோஸி ந வாஸ்மாந் வத³|
67 and said to him: If thou art the Messiah, tell us. He said to them: If I tell you, ye will not believe in me.
ஸ ப்ரத்யுவாச, மயா தஸ்மிந்நுக்தே(அ)பி யூயம்’ ந விஸ்²வஸிஷ்யத²|
68 And if I should ask you, ye will not return me an answer; nor will ye release me.
கஸ்மிம்’ஸ்²சித்³வாக்யே யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரு’ஷ்டே(அ)பி மாம்’ ந தது³த்தரம்’ வக்ஷ்யத² ந மாம்’ த்யக்ஷ்யத² ச|
69 From this time, the Son of man will sit on the right hand of the majesty of God.
கிந்த்வித: பரம்’ மநுஜஸுத: ஸர்வ்வஸ²க்திமத ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய த³க்ஷிணே பார்ஸ்²வே ஸமுபவேக்ஷ்யதி|
70 And they all said: Thou art then, the Son of God? Jesus said to them: Ye say that I am.
ததஸ்தே பப்ரச்சு²: , ர்திஹ த்வமீஸ்²வரஸ்ய புத்ர: ? ஸ கத²யாமாஸ, யூயம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ வத³த² ஸ ஏவாஹம்’|
71 They say: What further need have we of witnesses? For we have heard from his own mouth.
ததா³ தே ஸர்வ்வே கத²யாமாஸு: , ர்திஹ ஸாக்ஷ்யே(அ)ந்ஸஸ்மிந் அஸ்மாகம்’ கிம்’ ப்ரயோஜநம்’? அஸ்ய ஸ்வமுகா²தே³வ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ ப்ராப்தம்|
