John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, and, believe in me.
ਮਨੋਦੁਃਖਿਨੋ ਮਾ ਭੂਤ; ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੇ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸਿਤ ਮਯਿ ਚ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸਿਤ|
2 There are many mansions in the house of my Father: and if not, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
ਮਮ ਪਿਤੁ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੇ ਬਹੂਨਿ ਵਾਸਸ੍ਥਾਨਿ ਸਨ੍ਤਿ ਨੋ ਚੇਤ੍ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਅਜ੍ਞਾਪਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਸੱਜਯਿਤੁੰ ਗੱਛਾਮਿ|
3 And if I go to prepare for you a place, I will come again and take you to myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
ਯਦਿ ਗਤ੍ਵਾਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮੰਨਿਮਿੱਤੰ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਸੱਜਯਾਮਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਪਨਰਾਗਤ੍ਯ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਸ੍ਵਸਮੀਪੰ ਨੇਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ, ਤਤੋ ਯਤ੍ਰਾਹੰ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਾਮਿ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਯੂਯਮਪਿ ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਥ|
4 And whither I go, ye know; and the way ye know.
ਅਹੰ ਯਤ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਬ੍ਰਜਾਮਿ ਤਤ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਯੂਯੰ ਜਾਨੀਥ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਪਨ੍ਥਾਨਮਪਿ ਜਾਨੀਥ|
5 Thomas said to him: Our Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
ਤਦਾ ਥੋਮਾ ਅਵਦਤ੍, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਕੁਤ੍ਰ ਯਾਤਿ ਤਦ੍ਵਯੰ ਨ ਜਾਨੀਮਃ, ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਕਥੰ ਪਨ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਜ੍ਞਾਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੁਮਃ?
6 Jesus said to him: I am the way, and truth, and life: no one cometh unto my Father, but by me.
ਯੀਸ਼ੁਰਕਥਯਦ੍ ਅਹਮੇਵ ਸਤ੍ਯਜੀਵਨਰੂਪਪਥੋ ਮਯਾ ਨ ਗਨ੍ਤਾ ਕੋਪਿ ਪਿਤੁਃ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਗਨ੍ਤੁੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੋਤਿ|
7 If ye had known me, ye would also have known my Father: and henceforth, ye know him, and have seen him.
ਯਦਿ ਮਾਮ੍ ਅਜ੍ਞਾਸ੍ਯਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਮਮ ਪਿਤਰਮਪ੍ਯਜ੍ਞਾਸ੍ਯਤ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਧੁਨਾਤਸ੍ਤੰ ਜਾਨੀਥ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਥ ਚ|
8 Philip said to him: Our Lord, show us the Father, and it will suffice for us.
ਤਦਾ ਫਿਲਿਪਃ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਪਿਤਰੰ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯ ਤਸ੍ਮਾਦਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਯਥੇਸ਼਼੍ਟੰ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
9 Jesus said to him: Have I been all this time with you, and hast thou not known me, Philip? He that seeth me, seeth the Father: and how sayest thou, Show us the Father?
ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਾਵਾਦੀਤ੍, ਹੇ ਫਿਲਿਪ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧਮ੍ ਏਤਾਵੱਦਿਨਾਨਿ ਸ੍ਥਿਤਮਪਿ ਮਾਂ ਕਿੰ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਭਿਜਾਨਾਸਿ? ਯੋ ਜਨੋ ਮਾਮ੍ ਅਪਸ਼੍ਯਤ੍ ਸ ਪਿਤਰਮਪ੍ਯਪਸ਼੍ਯਤ੍ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਪਿਤਰਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯੇਤਿ ਕਥਾਂ ਕਥੰ ਕਥਯਸਿ?
10 Believest thou not, that I am in my Father, and my Father in me? And the words which I speak, I speak not from myself: but my Father, who dwelleth in me, he doeth these works.
ਅਹੰ ਪਿਤਰਿ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਾਮਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਯਿ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤੀਤਿ ਕਿੰ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਸ਼਼ਿ? ਅਹੰ ਯਦ੍ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ ਤਤ੍ ਸ੍ਵਤੋ ਨ ਵਦਾਮਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯਃ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਯਿ ਵਿਰਾਜਤੇ ਸ ਏਵ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਿ ਕਰਾਤਿ|
11 Believe, that I am in my Father, and my Father in me. And if not, believe, at least, on account of the works.
ਅਤਏਵ ਪਿਤਰ੍ੱਯਹੰ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਾਮਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਚ ਮਯਿ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ ਮਮਾਸ੍ਯਾਂ ਕਥਾਯਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਯੰ ਕੁਰੁਤ, ਨੋ ਚੇਤ੍ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਹੇਤੋਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਯੰ ਕੁਰੁਤ|
12 Verily, verily, I say to you: He that believeth in me, the works which I do, will he also do. And greater than these will he do, because I go unto my Father.
ਅਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨਤਿਯਥਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ, ਯੋ ਜਨੋ ਮਯਿ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸਿਤਿ ਸੋਹਮਿਵ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਿ ਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਵਰੰ ਤਤੋਪਿ ਮਹਾਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਿ ਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਯਤੋ ਹੇਤੋਰਹੰ ਪਿਤੁਃ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਗੱਛਾਮਿ|
13 And what ye shall ask in my name, I will do for you; that the Father may be glorified in his Son.
ਯਥਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੇਣ ਪਿਤੁ ਰ੍ਮਹਿਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਤੇ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਮਮ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰੋਚ੍ਯ ਯਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਧ੍ਵੇ ਤਤ੍ ਸਫਲੰ ਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ|
14 And if ye shall ask of me, in my name, I will do it.
ਯਦਿ ਮਮ ਨਾਮ੍ਨਾ ਯਤ੍ ਕਿਞ੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਯਾਚਧ੍ਵੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤਦਹੰ ਸਾਧਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ|
15 If ye love me, keep my commands.
ਯਦਿ ਮਯਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਯਧ੍ਵੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਮਮਾਜ੍ਞਾਃ ਸਮਾਚਰਤ|
16 And I will ask of my Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever, (aiōn g165)
ਤਤੋ ਮਯਾ ਪਿਤੁਃ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਿਤੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨਿਰਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧੰ ਸ੍ਥਾਤੁਮ੍ ਇਤਰਮੇਕੰ ਸਹਾਯਮ੍ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਸਤ੍ਯਮਯਮ੍ ਆਤ੍ਮਾਨੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਨਿਕਟੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ| (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, and knoweth him not: but ye know him, because he abideth with you, and is in you.
ਏਤੱਜਗਤੋ ਲੋਕਾਸ੍ਤੰ ਗ੍ਰਹੀਤੁੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੁਵਨ੍ਤਿ ਯਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਤੰ ਨਾਪਸ਼੍ਯਨ੍ ਨਾਜਨੰਸ਼੍ਚ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੂਯੰ ਜਾਨੀਥ ਯਤੋ ਹੇਤੋਃ ਸ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮਨ੍ਤ ਰ੍ਨਿਵਸਤਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਤਿ ਚ|
18 I shall not leave you orphans: for I shall come to you in a little while.
ਅਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਅਨਾਥਾਨ੍ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਨ ਯਾਸ੍ਯਾਮਿ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਮੀਪਮ੍ ਆਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ|
19 And the world will not see me; but ye will see me. Because I live, ye will live also.
ਕਿਯਤ੍ਕਾਲਰਤ੍ ਪਰਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਯ ਜਗਤੋ ਲੋਕਾ ਮਾਂ ਪੁਨ ਰ੍ਨ ਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੂਯੰ ਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ; ਅਹੰ ਜੀਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਕਾਰਣਾਦ੍ ਯੂਯਮਪਿ ਜੀਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ|
20 In that day ye will know, that I am in my Father; and that ye are in me, and I in you.
ਪਿਤਰ੍ੱਯਹਮਸ੍ਮਿ ਮਯਿ ਚ ਯੂਯੰ ਸ੍ਥ, ਤਥਾਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਮਿ ਤਦਪਿ ਤਦਾ ਜ੍ਞਾਸ੍ਯਥ|
21 He, with whom are my commands, and who keepeth them, he it is that loveth me. And he that loveth me, will be loved by my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
ਯੋ ਜਨੋ ਮਮਾਜ੍ਞਾ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੀਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਾ ਆਚਰਤਿ ਸਏਵ ਮਯਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਯਤੇ; ਯੋ ਜਨਸ਼੍ਚ ਮਯਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਯਤੇ ਸਏਵ ਮਮ ਪਿਤੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਿਯਪਾਤ੍ਰੰ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਤਥਾਹਮਪਿ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਸ੍ਮੈ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ|
22 Judas, not Iscariot, said to him: My Lord, how is it that thou art to manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?
ਤਦਾ ਈਸ਼਼੍ਕਰਿਯੋਤੀਯਾਦ੍ ਅਨ੍ਯੋ ਯਿਹੂਦਾਸ੍ਤਮਵਦਤ੍, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਜਗਤੋ ਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਸੰਨਿਧੌ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤੋ ਨ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸੰਨਿਧੌ ਕੁਤਃ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ?
23 Jesus answered, and said to him: He that loveth me, observeth my instruction; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him.
ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਦਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਯੋ ਜਨੋ ਮਯਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਯਤੇ ਸ ਮਮਾਜ੍ਞਾ ਅਪਿ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਾਤਿ, ਤੇਨ ਮਮ ਪਿਤਾਪਿ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ, ਆਵਾਞ੍ਚ ਤੰਨਿਕਟਮਾਗਤ੍ਯ ਤੇਨ ਸਹ ਨਿਵਤ੍ਸ੍ਯਾਵਃ|
24 But he that loveth me not, observeth not my instruction. And the instruction which ye hear, is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.
ਯੋ ਜਨੋ ਮਯਿ ਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਯਤੇ ਸ ਮਮ ਕਥਾ ਅਪਿ ਨ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਾਤਿ ਪੁਨਸ਼੍ਚ ਯਾਮਿਮਾਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਯੂਯੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਣੁਥ ਸਾ ਕਥਾ ਕੇਵਲਸ੍ਯ ਮਮ ਨ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਮਮ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਕੋ ਯਃ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਪਿ ਕਥਾ|
25 These things have I said to you, while I was with you.
ਇਦਾਨੀਂ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਨਿਕਟੇ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਮਾਨੋਹਮ੍ ਏਤਾਃ ਸਕਲਾਃ ਕਥਾਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਿ|
26 But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you every thing, and will remind you of all that I say to you.
ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਿਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਪਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਯਃ ਸਹਾਯੋ(ਅ)ਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਆਤ੍ਮਾ ਮਮ ਨਾਮ੍ਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਸ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਮਯੋਕ੍ਤਾਃ ਸਮਸ੍ਤਾਃ ਕਥਾ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਸ੍ਮਾਰਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. It is not as the world giveth, that I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor be afraid.
ਅਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਨਿਕਟੇ ਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤਿੰ ਸ੍ਥਾਪਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਯਾਮਿ, ਨਿਜਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤਿੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਭ੍ਯੰ ਦਦਾਮਿ, ਜਗਤੋ ਲੋਕਾ ਯਥਾ ਦਦਾਤਿ ਤਥਾਹੰ ਨ ਦਦਾਮਿ; ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਨ੍ਤਃਕਰਣਾਨਿ ਦੁਃਖਿਤਾਨਿ ਭੀਤਾਨਿ ਚ ਨ ਭਵਨ੍ਤੁ|
28 Ye have heard what I said to you that I go away, and come again to you. If ye had loved me, ye would have rejoiced, that I go to my Father; for my Father is greater than I
ਅਹੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਮੀਪਮ੍ ਆਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ ਮਯੋਕ੍ਤੰ ਵਾਕ੍ਯਮਿਦੰ ਯੂਯਮ੍ ਅਸ਼੍ਰੌਸ਼਼੍ਟ; ਯਦਿ ਮੱਯਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼੍ਯਧ੍ਵੰ ਤਰ੍ਹ੍ਯਹੰ ਪਿਤੁਃ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਗੱਛਾਮਿ ਮਮਾਸ੍ਯਾਂ ਕਥਾਯਾਂ ਯੂਯਮ੍ ਅਹ੍ਲਾਦਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਧ੍ਵੰ ਯਤੋ ਮਮ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੱਤੋਪਿ ਮਹਾਨ੍|
29 And now, lo, I have told you, before it occurreth; so that when it shall have occurred, ye may believe.
ਤਸ੍ਯਾ ਘਟਨਾਯਾਃ ਸਮਯੇ ਯਥਾ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੱਧਾ ਜਾਯਤੇ ਤਦਰ੍ਥਮ੍ ਅਹੰ ਤਸ੍ਯਾ ਘਟਨਾਯਾਃ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵਮ੍ ਇਦਾਨੀਂ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਏਤਾਂ ਵਾਰ੍ੱਤਾਂ ਵਦਾਮਿ|
30 Hereafter I shall not converse much with you; for the ruler of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
ਇਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਸਹ ਮਮ ਬਹਵ ਆਲਾਪਾ ਨ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਯਤਃ ਕਾਰਣਾਦ੍ ਏਤਸ੍ਯ ਜਗਤਃ ਪਤਿਰਾਗੱਛਤਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਮਯਾ ਸਹ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਕੋਪਿ ਸਮ੍ਬਨ੍ਧੋ ਨਾਸ੍ਤਿ|
31 But that the world may know, that I love my Father, and as my Father commanded me, so I do. Arise; let us go hence.
ਅਹੰ ਪਿਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰੋਮਿ ਤਥਾ ਪਿਤੁ ਰ੍ਵਿਧਿਵਤ੍ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਿ ਕਰੋਮੀਤਿ ਯੇਨ ਜਗਤੋ ਲੋਕਾ ਜਾਨਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਦਰ੍ਥਮ੍ ਉੱਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤ ਵਯੰ ਸ੍ਥਾਨਾਦਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਗੱਛਾਮ|
