< Ephesians 2 >
1 and also you, he filleth, who were dead in your sins, and in your offences,
And you being dead in the trespasses and in the sins (of you, *no*)
2 in the which ye before walked, according to the worldliness of this world, and according to the pleasure of the prince potentate of the air, that spirit which is active in the children of disobedience: (aiōn )
in which once you walked according to the age world of this, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit now working in the sons of disobedience, (aiōn )
3 in which deeds we also, formerly, were conversant, in the cravings of our flesh; and we did the pleasure of our flesh, and of our mind, and were altogether the children of wrath, like the rest.
among whom also we ourselves all lived once in the desires of the flesh of us doing the things willed of the flesh and of [its] thoughts and (we were *N(k)O*) children by nature of wrath as even the rest.
4 But God who is rich in his mercies, because of the great love with which he loved us,
But God rich being in mercy because of the great love of Him with which He loved us,
5 when we were dead in our sins, quickened us with the Messiah, and rescued us by his grace;
even being we dead in trespasses made [us] alive with Christ — by grace you are saved.
6 and resuscitated us with him, and seated us with him in heaven, in Jesus the Messiah:
and He raised [us] up together and He seated [us] together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
7 that he might show to the coming ages the magnitude of the riches of his grace, and his benignity towards us in Jesus the Messiah. (aiōn )
in order that He may show in the ages that [are] coming (the surpassing riches *N(k)O*) of the grace of Him in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn )
8 For it is by his grace we are rescued, through faith; and this is not of yourselves, but it is the gift of God:
For by grace you are saved through (*k*) faith, and this not of yourselves, [it is] of God the gift,
9 not of works, lest any one glory.
not as a result of works, so that not anyone may boast.
10 For we are his creation; who are created in Jesus the Messiah, for good works, which God hath before prepared for us to walk in.
Of Him for we are workmanship having been created in Christ Jesus for works good which prepared beforehand God, that in them we may walk.
11 Wherefore be mindful, that ye formerly were carnal Gentiles; and ye were called the uncircumcision, by that which is called the circumcision, and which is the work of the hands in the flesh.
Therefore do remember that formerly you yourselves the Gentiles in [the] flesh, the ones being named [the] uncircumcision by which is being named [the] circumcision in [the] flesh made by hands —
12 And ye were, at that time, without the Messiah; and were aliens from the regulations of Israel; and strangers to the covenant of the promise; and were without hope, and without God, in the world.
for you were (in *k*) time that [very] separate from Christ alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of the promise, hope not having and without God in the world;
13 But now, by Jesus the Messiah, ye who before were afar off, have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.
Now however in Christ Jesus you yourselves the [ones] once being far off have become near by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is himself our peace, who hath made the two become one, and hath demolished the wall which stood in the midst, and the enmity, by his flesh;
he himself for is the peace of us, which having made both one and the barrier of the fence having broken down,
15 and by his prescriptions he hath abolished the law of ordinances; that, in himself, he might make the two to be one new man; and he hath made peace,
the hostility in the flesh of Him, the law of commandments in ordinances having annulled, so that the two He may create in (Him *N(k)O*) into one new man making peace,
16 and hath reconciled both with God, in one body, and hath slain the enmity by his cross.
and He may reconcile both in one body to God through the cross having slain the hostility by it;
17 And he came, and proclaimed peace to you afar off, and to those near:
And having come He evangelised peace to you the [ones] far off and (peace *no*) to those [who are] near,
18 because, by him there is access for us both, by one Spirit, unto the Father.
For through Him we have the access both by one Spirit to the Father.
19 Wherefore, ye are not strangers, nor sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.
So then no longer no longer are you strangers and aliens, but (are *no*) fellow citizens of the saints and of the household of God
20 And ye are built upon the foundations of the legates and the prophets; and Jesus the Messiah hath become the head of the corner in the edifice.
having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, being [the] cornerstone Himself Christ Jesus
21 And in him all the edifice is framed together, and groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;
in whom [the] whole (*k*) building being fitted together is increasing into a temple holy in [the] Lord,
22 while ye also are builded in him, for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
in whom also you yourselves are being built together for a habitation of God in [the] Spirit.
