2 Thessalonians 3
1 Henceforth, brethren, pray ye for us, that the word of our Lord may, in every place, run and be glorified, as with you;
І наостанок, брати, моліться за нас, щоб Слово Господнє швидко поширювалось і славилось, як і у вас.
2 and that we may be delivered from evil and perverse men; for faith is not in all.
Моліться, щоб ми були врятовані від негідних і лихих людей, бо не всі мають віру.
3 And faithful is the Lord, who will keep you and rescue you from the evil One.
Але Господь вірний, і Він зміцнить вас і захистить від злого.
4 And we have confidence in you, through our Lord, that what we have inculcated on you, ye both have done, and will do.
Ми впевнені в Господі, що ви виконуєте й будете виконувати все, що ми наказуємо вам.
5 And may our Lord direct your hearts to the love of God, and to a patient waiting for the Messiah.
Нехай Господь направить ваші серця до Божої любові та Христової терпеливості.
6 And we enjoin upon you, my brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, that ye withdraw from every brother who walketh wickedly, and not according to the precepts which ye received from us.
Заповідаємо вам, брати, в ім’я Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, уникати всякого брата, який лінується й не живе згідно з настановами, які ви отримали від нас.
7 For ye know how ye ought to imitate us, who did not walk wickedly among you.
Ви ж самі знаєте, як треба наслідувати наш приклад. Бо ми не були лінивими, коли були з вами,
8 Neither did we eat bread gratuitously from any of you; but, with toil and weariness, we labored by night and by day, that we might not be burdensome to any of you.
ми ні в кого не їли хліба даром, а тяжко працювали вдень і вночі, щоб не обтяжувати нікого з вас.
9 It was not because we have no authority, but that we might give you an example in ourselves, that ye might imitate us.
Ми зробили це не тому, що не маємо права на таку допомогу, а для того, щоб дати приклад, гідний наслідування.
10 And while we were with you, we also gave you this precept, That every one who would not work, should likewise not eat.
Бо коли ми були з вами, то заповідали вам: «Хто не хоче працювати, хай не їсть».
11 For we hear, there are some among you who walk wickedly, and do nothing except vain things.
Однак ми чуємо, що деякі з вас ледарюють, нічого не роблять, а лише втручаються в справи інших.
12 Now such persons, we command and exhort, by our Lord Jesus the Messiah, that in quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
Таким ми наказуємо й закликаємо їх у Господі Ісусі Христі, щоб вони спокійно працювали й заробляли собі на хліб.
13 And my brethren, let it not be wearisome to you, to do what is good.
А ви, брати, не втомлюйтесь робити добро.
14 And if any one hearkeneth not to these my words in this epistle, separate that man from you, and have no intimacy with him, that he may be ashamed.
Якщо хтось не дотримується наших настанов, які ми даємо в цьому листі, не спілкуйтеся з ним, щоб йому було соромно.
15 Yet, hold him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Але не вважайте його ворогом, а застерігайте, як брата.
16 And may the Lord of peace give you peace, always, in every thing. Our Lord be with you all.
Тепер Сам Господь миру нехай дасть вам мир завжди й в усьому. Нехай Господь буде з усіма вами.
17 The salutation in the writing of my own hand, I Paul have written it; which is the token in all my epistles, so I write.
Привітання [написане] моєю, Павловою, рукою. Це є знаком у всіх [моїх] листах. Так я пишу.
18 The grace of Jesus the Messiah be with you all, my brethren. Amen.
Благодать Господа нашого Ісуса Христа нехай буде з усіма вами!
