1 John 2
1 My children, these things I write to you, that ye sin not. But if any one should sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus the Messiah, the righteous.
Baana bange abaagalwa, ebintu bino mbibawandiikidde mulemenga okukola ekibi. Naye omuntu yenna bw’akolanga ekibi tulina omuwolereza eri Kitaffe, ye Yesu Kristo Omutuukirivu.
2 For he is himself the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for all the world.
Ye, ye mutango olw’ebibi byaffe, naye si lwa bibi byaffe byokka, wabula ne ku lw’ebibi by’abantu bonna.
3 And by this we shall be sensible that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
Bwe tugondera ebiragiro bye, kye kikakasa nti tumutegeera.
4 For he that saith, I know him, and doth not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Kyokka oyo agamba nti amutegeera n’atakuuma biragiro bye, aba mulimba, era si wa mazima.
5 But he that keepeth his word, in him is the love of God truly completed: for by this we know that we are in him.
Naye buli agondera ekigambo kye, ddala ng’okwagala kwa Katonda kutuukiridde mu muntu oyo. Era ekyo kye kitukakasisa nti tuli mu ye.
6 He that saith, I am in him, is bound to walk according to his walkings.
Oyo agamba nti ali mu ye, asaana okutambula nga Mukama waffe yennyini bwe yatambula.
7 My beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but the old commandment which ye had from the beginning; and the old commandment is the word, which ye have heard.
Abaagalwa, sibawandiikira kiragiro kiggya, naye mbawandiikira ekiragiro ekyabaawo edda, kye kyo kye mwawuliranga okuva ku lubereberye.
8 Again, a new commandment I write to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness hath passed away, and the true light beginneth to appear.
Kyokka nno ekiragiro kino kye mbawandiikira kiggya era kikakasirizibwa mu ye ne mu mmwe. Kubanga ekizikiza kigenda kiggwaawo era omusana ogw’amazima kaakano gwaka.
9 Whoever therefore shall say that he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness until now.
Omuntu agamba nti atambulira mu musana, kyokka ate n’akyawa owooluganda, aba akyali mu kizikiza.
10 He that loveth his brother, abideth in the light, and in him is no stumbling.
Naye ayagala owooluganda aba ali mu musana, era talinaawo kimwesittaza.
11 But he that hateth his brother, is in darkness, and walketh in darkness; and he knoweth not whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.
Kyokka oyo akyawa owooluganda, aba akyali mu kizikiza, era mu kizikiza ekyo mw’atambulira, nga tategeera gy’alaga, kubanga ekizikiza kimuzibye amaaso.
12 I write to you, ye children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
Baana bange abaagalwa, mbawandiikidde kubanga musonyiyiddwa ebibi byammwe olw’erinnya lye.
13 I write to you, ye fathers, because ye have known him who existed from the beginning. I write to you, ye young men, because ye have vanquished the evil one.
Era nammwe abakulu, mbawandiikidde kubanga mwamutegeera okuva ku lubereberye. Nammwe abavubuka, mbawandiikidde kubanga muwangudde omubi. Mmwe abaana abaagalwa bawandiikidde, kubanga mutegedde Kitaffe.
14 I have written to you, ye little ones, because ye have known the Father. I have written to you, ye fathers, because ye have known him who was from the beginning, I have written to you, ye young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God dwelleth in you, and ye have vanquished the evil one.
Mbawandiikidde mmwe abakulu kubanga mutegedde oyo eyabaawo okuva ku lubereberye. Mbawandiikidde mmwe abavubuka kubanga muli ba maanyi era n’ekigambo kya Katonda kibeera mu mmwe, era muwangudde omubi.
15 Love not the world, nor any thing in it; for whoever loveth the world, hath not the love of the Father in him.
Temwagalanga nsi, wadde eby’ensi. Kubanga omuntu yenna ayagala ensi taliimu kwagala kwa Kitaffe.
16 For all that is in the world, is, the lust of the body, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of the world; which are not from the Father, but from the world itself.
Kubanga buli eky’ensi: okwegomba kw’omubiri, n’okwegomba kw’amaaso, n’okwekuluntaza okw’obulamu, si bya Kitaffe, naye bya nsi.
17 And the world is passing away, both it and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the pleasure of God, abideth for ever. (aiōn g165)
Ensi n’okwegomba kwayo byonna biggwaawo, naye buli akola Katonda by’ayagala abeerera emirembe gyonna. (aiōn g165)
18 My children, it is the latter time; and as ye have heard that a false Messiah was to arise, so there are now many false Messiahs; and from this we know that it is the latter time.
Baana bange, ekiseera ekisembayo kituuse. Mwategeezebwa ng’Omulabe wa Kristo bw’agenda okujja, era ne kaakano waliwo abalabe ba Kristo bangi, era kwe tutegeerera ng’ekiseera ekisembayo kituuse.
19 From us they went out, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out from us, that so it might be known, that they were not of us.
Abantu abo tebaali baffe ddala, era kyebaava batwawukanako, kubanga singa baali baffe ddala bandisigalidde ddala mu ffe. Naye baatuvaako kiryoke kitegeerekekere ddala nga bonna si b’ewaffe.
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One; and ye discriminate every person.
Kyokka mmwe mwafukibwako amafuta okuva eri Omutukuvu, era mumanyi byonna.
21 I have not written to you, because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and because no falsehood is of the truth.
Kyenva mbawandiikira, si lwa kubanga temumanyi mazima, naye lwa kubanga mugategeera era mumanyi okwawula eby’obulimba n’eby’amazima.
22 Who is false, but he that denieth that Jesus is the Messiah? And that person is a false Messiah. He that denieth the Father, denieth also the Son.
Omulimba y’ani, wabula oyo agamba nti Yesu si ye Kristo. Omuntu oyo yennyini ye Mulabe wa Kristo, era oyo takkiririza Kitaffe wadde Omwana.
23 And he that denieth the Son, also believeth not the Father. He that confesseth the Son, confesseth also the Father.
Kubanga buli atakkiriza Mwana era ne Kitaffe tamukkiriza. Buli ayatula Omwana aba alina ne Kitaffe.
24 And what ye heard from the first, let that remain with you. For if that, which ye heard from the first, remaineth with you, ye also will remain in the Father and in the Son.
Ekituufu kye mwawulira okuva ku lubereberye kibeerenga mu mmwe. Bwe munaakuumanga ekyo kye mwawulira okuva ku lubereberye, Omwana awamu ne Kitaffe banaabeeranga wamu nammwe.
Na kuno kwe kusuubiza kwe yatusuubiza: obulamu obutaggwaawo. (aiōnios g166)
26 And these things I have written to you, on account of those who seduce you.
Mbawandiikidde bino olw’okubanga waliwo abo ababalimbalimba.
27 And ye also, if the unction which ye have received from him remaineth in you, need not that any one should teach you; but as that unction is from God, it teacheth you all things; and it is true, and no falsehood is in it. And as it hath taught you, remain ye in him.
Kyokka okufukibwako amafuta kwe mwafuna okuva gy’ali kwali mu mmwe, noolwekyo temwetaaga muntu kubayigiriza. Wabula Mwoyo Mutukuvu y’abayigiriza buli kimu, era w’amazima si wa bulimba, kale mubeerenga mu ye nga bwe yabayigiriza.
28 And now, my children, remain ye in him; that so, when he shall be manifested, we may not be ashamed before him, but may have an open countenance at his coming.
Kaakano, abaana abaagalwa, munywerere mu Kristo, bw’alirabika tulyoke tube bagumu abatalikwatibwa nsonyi ku lunaku lw’aliddirako.
29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye also know, that whoever doeth righteousness, is from him.
Nga bwe mumanyi nti Mukama mutuukirivu, kirungi mutegeere nti oyo akola eby’obutuukirivu ye mwana we.
