1 Corinthians 12
1 And concerning spirituals, my brethren, I would have you know,
ⲁ̅ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ⲧⲓⲕⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϯⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ.
2 that ye have been pagans; and have been, without distinction, led away after idols, in which there is no speech.
ⲃ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲭⲏ ϧⲁ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧ⳿ϧⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ.
3 I therefore inform you, that there is no man, that speaketh by the Spirit of God, who saith that Jesus is accursed: neither can a man say that Jesus is the Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.
ⲅ̅ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ϯⲧⲁⲙⲟ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲁⲛⲁⲑⲉⲙⲁ ⲡⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ Ⲡ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲓⲙⲏϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts; but the Spirit is one.
ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲧⲟⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲫⲱϣ ϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲉⲡⲁⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲣⲱ ⲡⲉ.
5 And there are diversities of ministrations; but the Lord is one.
ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲧⲟⲓ ⳿ⲙⲫⲱϣ ⲉⲩϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲇⲓ⳿ⲁⲕⲱⲛⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲉⲡⲁⲓ ⳪ ⲣⲱ ⲡⲉ.
6 And there are diversities of energies; but God, who worketh all in all men, is one.
ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲧⲟⲓ ⳿ⲙⲫⲱϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲡⲁⲓⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲣⲱ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲛⲉⲛⲭⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
7 And to each man, there is given a manifestation of the Spirit, that it may aid him.
ⲍ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲥⲉϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ.
8 To one, by the Spirit, there is given a word of wisdom; and to another, by the same Spirit, there is given a word of knowledge:
ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ϣⲁⲩϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲁⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲫⲁⲓ.
9 to another, by the same Spirit, faith: to another, by the same Spirit, gifts of healing:
ⲑ̅ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲣⲱ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲗϭⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲣⲱ ⲟⲛ.
10 and to another, miracles: and to another, prophecy: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, divers kinds of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues.
ⲓ̅ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲟⲙ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲓⲁ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲃⲱⲗ ⳿ⲙⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲅⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲗⲁⲥ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲣⲙⲏⲛⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲗⲁⲥ.
11 But all these, worketh that one Spirit; and he distributeth to every one as he pleaseth.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲁⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲣⲱ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲫⲱϣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲛⲁϥ.
12 For as the body is one, and in it are many members; and all those members of the body, though many, are one body; so also is the Messiah.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲙⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ϩⲱϥ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ.̅.
13 For all of us, likewise, by one Spirit, have been baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether slaves or free; and all of us have drinked in one Spirit.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲕⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲛϭⲓⲱⲙⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲩⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲓⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⳿ⲓⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲉⲓⲛⲓⲛ ⳿ⲓⲧⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⳿ⲓⲧⲉ ⲣⲉⲙϩⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲉⲛ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲧⲥⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ.
14 For a body also, is not one member, but many.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲕⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ.
15 For if the foot should say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it, on that account, not of the body?
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ϯϭⲁⲗⲟϫ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩϫⲓϫ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲁⲣⲁ ⲧⲟⲩⲧⲟ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ.
16 Or if the ear should say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it, on that account, not of the body?
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲁϣϫ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲃⲁⲗ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲁⲣⲁ ⲧⲟⲩⲧⲟ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ.
17 And if the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? Or if it were all hearing, where would be the smelling?
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲉⲛⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲟⲩⲃⲁⲗ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲁϥⲑⲱⲛ ϩⲱϥ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲁϥⲑⲱⲛ ϩⲱϥ ⲡⲓϣⲱⲗⲉⲙ.
18 But now hath God placed every one of the members in the body, according to his pleasure.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁ ⲫϯ ⲭⲱ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣ.
19 And if they were all one member, where would be the body?
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲉⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲁϥⲑⲱⲛ ϩⲱϥ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ.
20 But now they are many members, yet but one body.
ⲕ̅ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, Thou art not needful to me: nor can the head say to the feet, Ye are not needful to me.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲃⲁⲗ ϫⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛϯϫⲓϫ ϫⲉ ϯⲉⲣ⳿ⲭⲣⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲓⲉ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ϯ⳿ⲁⲫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϭⲁⲗⲁⲩϫ ϫⲉ ϯⲉⲣ⳿ⲭⲣⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ.
22 But rather, those members which are accounted feeble, are indispensable.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲱⲃ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲁⲛⲁⲅⲕⲉⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲛⲉ.
23 And those which we think dishonorable in the body, on them we heap more honor; and those that are uncomely, on them we put the more decoration.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉϣⲏϣ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲛ ϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲁⲓ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϫⲁⲓ⳿ⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲥⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ.
24 For the honorable members in us, have no need of honor: for God hath tempered the body, and given more honor to the member which is inferior;
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲥⲁⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⲥⲉⲉⲣ⳿ⲭⲣⲓ⳿ⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲫϯ ⲁϥⲑⲉⲧ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⳿ⲉⲁϥϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲧⲁⲓ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧϣⲁⲧ.
25 that there might be no disunion in the body, but that all the members, equally, might care for one another;
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙⲫⲱⲣϫ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϥⲓⲣⲱⲟⲩϣ ϧⲁ ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ.
26 so that, when one member is in pain, they will all sympathize; and if one member is exalted, all the members will be exalted.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϭⲓ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϭⲓ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϭⲓⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ.
27 Now ye are the body of Messiah, and members in your place.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⳿ⲙⲠⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲣⲟⲥ.
28 For God hath placed in his church, first, legates; after them, prophets; after them, teachers; after them, workers of miracles; after them, the gifts of healing, and helpers, and leaders, and various kinds of tongues.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫϯ ⲭⲁⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲉⲕ⳿ⲕⲗⲏ- ⲥⲓⲁ ϣⲟⲣⲡ ϩⲁⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲫⲙⲁϩ ⲃ̅ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⳿ⲫⲙⲁϩ ⲅ̅ ϩⲁⲛⲣⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲁⲛϫⲟⲙ ⲓⲧⲁ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲗϭⲟ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲉⲣϩⲉⲙⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲅⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲗⲁⲥ.
29 Are they all legates? Are they all prophets? Are they all teachers? Are they all workers of miracles?
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣⲣⲉϥϯ ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣϫⲟⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
30 Have all of them the gifts of healing? Do they all speak with tongues? Or do they all interpret?
ⲗ̅ⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲗϭⲟ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲥ ⲙⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲣⲙⲉⲛⲉⲩⲓⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
31 And if ye are emulous of the superior gifts, on the other hand, I show to you a better way.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲭⲟϩ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲟⲛ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲕⲉⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲁϥ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ.
