Revelation 11
1 AND there was given to me a reed, like a staff; and the angel stood, saying, Arise, measure the temple of Aloha, and the altar, and them who worship therein;
Potem dostałem do ręki miarę i otrzymałem następujące polecenie: —Wstań i zmierz świątynię Boga oraz jej ołtarz. Policz również tych, którzy są w środku i oddają cześć Bogu.
2 and the court which is without the temple cast out, and do not measure it, because it is given to the Gentiles, and the holy city shall be trodden down, MONTHS FORTY AND TWO.
Nie mierz jednak dziedzińca przed świątynią, został on bowiem przeznaczony dla pogan, którzy będą deptać święte miasto przez czterdzieści dwa miesiące.
3 And I will give my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy, DAYS A THOUSAND AND TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY, clothed in sackcloth.
Ja zaś dam siłę dwóm moim świadkom—ubiorą się w wory pokutne i będą prorokować przez tysiąc dwieście sześćdziesiąt dni.
4 These are the two olive (trees) and two candlesticks which before the Lord of the earth do stand.
Świadkowie ci będą jak dwa drzewa oliwne i dwa świeczniki stojące przed Panem ziemi.
5 And if a man willeth to wound them, fire cometh forth from their mouth, and devoureth their adversaries. And if a man willeth to wound (them), thus must he be killed.
Ktokolwiek spróbuje wyrządzić im krzywdę, zostanie natychmiast spalony—z ich ust wydobywać się będzie bowiem żar ognia. Każdy więc, kto będzie chciał ich zniszczyć, poniesie śmierć.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that rain it may not rain in those days; and power have they over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague as many times as they will.
Świadkowie ci, pełniąc służbę proroków, będą w stanie powstrzymać deszcz, sprawić, że wody staną się czerwone jak krew, oraz zesłać na ziemię wszelkie możliwe klęski.
7 And when they shall have completed their testimony, the beast of prey, which ascended from the abyss, will make war against them, and overcome them, (Abyssos g12)
Gdy już przekażą ludziom swoje poselstwo, z otchłani wyłoni się bestia, która wypowie im wojnę a następnie pokona ich i zabije. (Abyssos g12)
8 and their dead bodies (will be) upon the wide street of the great city, which is called, spiritually, Sedum, and Metsreen, where also our Lord hath been crucified.
Ich ciała zostaną porzucone na placu wielkiego miasta, w którym ukrzyżowano ich Pana. W wymiarze duchowym miasto to jest podobne do Sodomy i Egiptu.
9 And of the peoples and tribes and nations and tongues, seeing their dead bodies days three and a half, will not suffer them to be laid in the tomb.
Przez trzy i pół dnia wszystkie ludy, plemiona, języki i narody będą patrzeć na ich zwłoki i nie pozwolą ich pogrzebać.
10 And they who dwell upon earth will rejoice over them and be gratified, and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented them who dwell upon earth.
Cały świat będzie się bowiem cieszyć i świętować z powodu ich śmierci. Co więcej, z tej okazji ludzie będą nawet wręczać sobie prezenty. Działalność tych proroków sprawiała bowiem ogromny kłopot wszystkim mieszkańcom ziemi.
11 And after those three days and a half, the spirit of life from Aloha entered into them, and they arose upon their feet. And great fear fell upon them who saw them.
Po trzech i pół dniach Bóg wzbudził ich jednak do życia i sprawił, że wstali z miejsca. Wówczas tych, którzy widzieli ich ciała, ogarnął wielki strach.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven, saying to them, Ascend hither. And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their adversaries beheld them.
Z nieba zaś rozległ się donośny głos: „Chodźcie!”. I na oczach swoich wrogów prorocy zostali otoczeni obłokami i wznieśli się do nieba.
13 And in that hour there was a great movement; and one of ten of the city fell; and there were killed in the movement the names of men seven thousand. And they who were left were made afraid, and gave glory to Aloha.
W tym momencie nastąpiło silne trzęsienie ziemi, które zniszczyło jedną dziesiątą miasta i zabiło siedem tysięcy osób. Wszyscy pozostali byli przerażeni i oddali chwałę Bogu, który mieszka w niebie.
14 That second woe hath passed. Behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
W ten sposób wypełniła się druga z trzech zapowiedzi orła, który wołał: „Marny będzie los ziemi”. Pozostała jednak jeszcze jedna.
15 And the Seventh angel sounded. And there were voices and thunders, saying, The kingdom of the world Is of our Lord, and of his Meshiha; And he will reign for ever and ever! (aiōn g165)
Wtedy zatrąbił siódmy anioł i rozległy się donośne głosy z nieba: „Teraz władzę nad światem obejmie nasz Pan i Jego Mesjasz—On będzie królować na wieki!”. (aiōn g165)
16 And the twenty and four presbyters who were before the throne of Aloha, who were sitting upon their thrones, fell upon their faces and worshipped,
A dwudziestu czterech starszych, siedzących przed Bogiem na tronach, padło na twarz, oddając Mu hołd
17 saying, We give thanks to thee, Lord God omnipotent, Who art, and who wast; Because thou hast taken thy great power, And hast reigned.
i wołając: „Panie, Wszechmocny Boże, Ty jesteś i zawsze byłeś! Dziękujemy Ci, za to, że użyłeś swojej wielkiej mocy i przejąłeś władzę nad światem.
18 And the nations were angry; But thy wrath is come, And the time of the dead, That they should be avenged; And to give reward to thy servants, To the prophets, and to the saints, And to them who fear thy Name, To the small and to the great; And to destroy them who have destroyed the earth.
Narody zbuntowały się przeciwko Tobie, ale teraz nadszedł czas Twego gniewu. Jest to czas sądu nad zmarłymi i czas nagrody dla Twoich sług —proroków i świętych, i wszystkich tych, którzy mieli dla Ciebie respekt, niezależnie od tego, kim byli. Jest to również czas zagłady dla tych, którzy siali na ziemi zniszczenie”.
19 And the temple of Aloha was opened in heaven; and there was seen the ark of his covenant in his temple. And there were lightnings, and thunderings, and voices, and movement, and great hail.
Wtedy otworzyła się w niebie Boża świątynia i można było dostrzec w niej skrzynię przymierza. Pojawiły się również błyskawice, rozległ się huk piorunów i nastąpiło trzęsienie ziemi, po czym spadł wielki grad.
