Philippians 1
1 PAULOS and Timotheus, servants of Jeshu the Meshiha, to all the saints who are in Jeshu Meshiha at Philipos, with the presbyters and deacons.
Paolo e Timoteo, servitori di Cristo Gesù, a tutti i santi in Cristo Gesù che sono in Filippi, coi vescovi e coi diaconi,
2 Grace be with you and peace from Aloha our Father, and from our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
grazia a voi e pace da Dio nostro Padre e dal Signor Gesù Cristo.
3 I offer thanks unto Aloha upon the remembrance of you constantly,
Io rendo grazie all’Iddio mio di tutto il ricordo che ho di voi;
4 in all my prayers on your behalf; and while rejoicing,
e sempre, in ogni mia preghiera, prego per voi tutti con allegrezza
5 I pray, for your fellowship which is in the gospel from the first day until now;
a cagion della vostra partecipazione al progresso del Vangelo, dal primo giorno fino ad ora;
6 because I am confident of this, that he who hath begun good workings in you will himself make perfect until the day of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
avendo fiducia in questo: che Colui che ha cominciato in voi un’opera buona, la condurrà a compimento fino al giorno di Cristo Gesù.
7 For so it is right for me to think concerning you all, because you are laid up in my heart; and in my bonds, and in the defence of the truth of the gospel, you are partakers with me in grace.
Ed è ben giusto ch’io senta così di tutti voi; perché io vi ho nel cuore, voi tutti che, tanto nelle mie catene quanto nella difesa e nella conferma del Vangelo, siete partecipi con me della grazia.
8 For Aloha is my witness how I love you with the bowels of Jeshu Meshiha.
Poiché Iddio mi è testimone com’io sospiri per voi tutti con affetto sviscerato in Cristo Gesù.
9 And this I pray, that your love may still increase and abound in knowledge and in all spiritual understanding;
E la mia preghiera è che il vostro amore sempre più abbondi in conoscenza e in ogni discernimento,
10 that you may distinguish those things that are proper, and may be pure and without offence in the day of the Meshiha,
onde possiate distinguere fra il bene ed il male, affinché siate sinceri e irreprensibili per il giorno di Cristo,
11 and filled with the fruits of righteousness which are in Jeshu Meshiha, to the glory and the honour of Aloha.
ripieni di frutti di giustizia che si hanno per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, a gloria e lode di Dio.
12 BUT I wish you to know, my brethren, that my business tendeth the more to the forwarding of the gospel.
Or, fratelli, io voglio che sappiate che le cose mie son riuscite piuttosto al progresso del Vangelo;
13 For so also my bonds are manifest for the Meshiha in the whole palace, and unto all besides.
tanto che a tutta la guardia pretoriana e a tutti gli altri è divenuto notorio che io sono in catene per Cristo;
14 And a multitude of brethren who are in our Lord are strengthened on account of my bonds, and have dared the more fearlessly to speak the word of Aloha.
e la maggior parte de’ fratelli nel Signore, incoraggiati dai miei legami, hanno preso vie maggiore ardire nell’annunziare senza paura la Parola di Dio.
15 Some preach from envy and contention, but some from good-will,
Vero è che alcuni predicano Cristo anche per invidia e per contenzione; ma ce ne sono anche altri che lo predicano di buon animo.
16 and in the love of the Meshiha; for they know that for the defence of the gospel I am appointed.
Questi lo fanno per amore, sapendo che sono incaricato della difesa del Vangelo;
17 But those who preach the Meshiha from contention do it not sincerely, but think to add affliction to my bonds.
ma quelli annunziano Cristo con spirito di parte, non sinceramente, credendo cagionarmi afflizione nelle mie catene.
18 Yet in this I have rejoiced, and do rejoice, that in every way, if for an occasion, or if in truth, the Meshiha shall be preached.
Che importa? Comunque sia, o per pretesto o in sincerità, Cristo è annunziato; e io di questo mi rallegro, e mi rallegrerò ancora,
19 For I know that these things shall be found unto my life by your prayers, and by the gift of the Spirit of Jeshu Meshiha;
perché so che ciò tornerà a mia salvezza, mediante le vostre supplicazioni e l’assistenza dello Spirito di Gesù Cristo,
20 even as I hope and expect, that in nothing I shall be confounded, but manifestly, as at all times, so also now, the Meshiha shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
secondo la mia viva aspettazione e la mia speranza di non essere svergognato in cosa alcuna; ma che con ogni franchezza, ora come sempre Cristo sarà magnificato nel mio corpo, sia con la vita, sia con la morte.
21 For my life is the Meshiha; and if I die, it is gain to me.
Poiché per me il vivere è Cristo, e il morire guadagno.
22 But if in this life of the flesh there be also fruit to me from my works, I know not what to choose.
Ma se il continuare a vivere nella carne rechi frutto all’opera mia e quel ch’io debba preferire, non saprei dire.
23 For these two straiten me. I desire to be set free, that I might be with the Meshiha, and this is greatly preferable to me;
Io sono stretto dai due lati: ho desiderio di partire e d’esser con Cristo, perché è cosa di gran lunga migliore;
24 but also to remain in my body is the thing which constraineth me on your account.
ma il mio rimanere nella carne è più necessario per voi.
25 For I know this confidently, that I am to remain and tarry for your joy and for the increase of your faith:
Ed ho questa ferma fiducia ch’io rimarrò e dimorerò con tutti voi per il vostro progresso e per la gioia della vostra fede;
26 that when I come again to you, your glorying which is in Jeshu Meshiha alone shall abound in me.
onde il vostro gloriarvi abbondi in Cristo Gesù a motivo di me, per la mia presenza di nuovo in mezzo a voi.
27 As it becometh the gospel of the Meshiha, so have your conversation; that if coming I see you, or absent, I may hear of you, that you stand in one spirit and in one soul, conquering together for the faith of the gospel;
Soltanto, conducetevi in modo degno del Vangelo di Cristo, affinché, o che io venga a vedervi o che sia assente, oda di voi che state fermi in uno stesso spirito, combattendo assieme di un medesimo animo per la fede del Vangelo,
28 in nothing moved by them who stand against us, to the forthshowing of their perdition, and of our salvation,
e non essendo per nulla spaventati dagli avversari: il che per loro è una prova evidente di perdizione; ma per voi, di salvezza; e ciò da parte di Dio.
29 And this from Aloha hath been given to you, not only believing to believe in the Meshiha, but also for his sake to suffer,
Poiché a voi è stato dato, rispetto a Cristo, non soltanto di credere in lui, ma anche di soffrire per lui,
30 and to sustain a conflict, as you have seen in me, and now hear concerning me.
sostenendo voi la stessa lotta che mi avete veduto sostenere, e nella quale ora udite ch’io mi trovo.
