Luke 23
1 And the whole assembly of them arose, and brought him to Pilatos.
Und die ganze Versammlung stand auf, und sie führten ihn vor Pilatus.
2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We have found this who deludeth our people, and forbiddeth that tribute unto Caesar we should give, saying of himself that he is the King Meshicha.
Sie fingen aber an, ihn zu verklagen und sprachen: Wir haben gefunden, daß dieser das Volk verführt und ihm wehrt, dem Kaiser die Steuern zu zahlen, und behauptet, er sei Christus, der König.
3 But Pilatos asked him, and said to him, Art thou the king of the Jihudoyee? He saith to him, Thou hast said.
Da fragte ihn Pilatus und sprach: Du bist der König der Juden? Er antwortete ihm und sprach: Du sagst es!
4 And Pilatos said to the chief priests and to the assembly, I find no occasion against this man.
Da sprach Pilatus zu den Hohenpriestern und dem Volk: Ich finde keine Schuld an diesem Menschen!
5 But they cried out and said, He commoveth our people while he teacheth throughout all Jihud, beginning from Galila unto this place.
Sie aber bestanden darauf und sprachen: Er wiegelt das Volk auf, indem er lehrt in ganz Judäa, was er zuerst in Galiläa tat und [fortsetzte] bis hierher!
6 Pilatos, however, when he heard the name of Galila, asked if the man were a Galiloya.
Als Pilatus das hörte, fragte er, ob der Mensch ein Galiläer sei.
7 And when he knew that he was from the limit of the jurisdiction of Herodes, he sent him unto Herodes, because that in Urishlem he was in those days.
Und da er vernahm, daß er aus dem Gebiet des Herodes sei, sandte er ihn hin zu Herodes, der in diesen Tagen ebenfalls zu Jerusalem war.
8 And Herodes, when he saw Jeshu, was very glad; for he had desired to see him of a great time: for he had heard concerning him many things, and hoped that some sign he should see from him.
Herodes aber freute sich sehr, als er Jesus sah; denn er hätte ihn schon längst gern gesehen, weil er viel von ihm gehört hatte, und er hoffte, ein Zeichen von ihm zu sehen.
9 And many words he asked him; but Jeshu gave him no answer whatever.
Er legte ihm denn auch viele Fragen vor; aber Jesus gab ihm keine Antwort.
10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and strenuously accused him.
Die Hohenpriester aber und die Schriftgelehrten standen da und verklagten ihn heftig.
11 Then Herodes and his soldiers treated him as a fool; and when he had derided him, he dressed him in a robe of crimson, and sent him to Pilatos.
Und Herodes samt seinen Kriegsleuten verachtete und verspottete ihn, zog ihm ein weißes Kleid an und schickte ihn wieder zu Pilatus.
12 And in that day Pilatos and Herodes were friends with each other; for before there had been enmity between them.
An demselben Tage schlossen Pilatus und Herodes Freundschaft miteinander, denn zuvor waren sie einander feind gewesen.
13 And Pilatos called the chief priests and the rulers of the people,
Pilatus aber rief die Hohenpriester und die Obersten und das Volk zusammen
14 and said to them, You have brought to me this man as a perverter of your people; and, behold, I have examined him in your sight, and have found no cause in this man of all that you accuse him:
und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr habt diesen Menschen zu mir gebracht, als mache er das Volk abtrünnig; und siehe, als ich ihn vor euch verhörte, habe ich an diesem Menschen keine Schuld gefunden, deren ihr ihn anklagt,
15 nor also Herodes; for I sent him unto him, and, behold, nothing worthy of death is done to him:
aber auch Herodes nicht; denn er hat ihn zu uns zurückgeschickt, und siehe, es ist nichts von ihm verübt worden, was des Todes würdig wäre.
16 I will therefore chastise him, and dismiss him.
Darum will ich ihn züchtigen und dann freilassen.
17 For a custom had he to release to them one at the festival.
Er mußte ihnen aber auf das Fest einen freigeben.
18 But all the multitude cried out, saying, Take this, and release to us Baraba;
Da schrie aber der ganze Haufe und sprach: Hinweg mit diesem und gib uns Barabbas frei!
19 he who, for insurrection and murder which had been done in the city, had been thrown into the house of the chained.
Der war wegen eines in der Stadt vorgefallenen Aufruhrs und Mordes ins Gefängnis geworfen worden.
20 But Pilatos spake with them again, being willing to release Jeshu.
Da redete ihnen Pilatus noch einmal zu, weil er Jesus freizulassen wünschte.
21 But they cried out, saying, Crucify him! Crucify him!
Sie aber riefen dagegen und sprachen: Kreuzige, kreuzige ihn!
22 He the third time also said to them, Why, what evil hath this done? Cause whatever that is worthy of death, I find not in him: I will therefore chastise him, and dismiss him.
Und zum drittenmal sprach er zu ihnen: Was hat dieser denn Böses getan? Ich habe keine des Todes würdige Schuld an ihm gefunden. Darum will ich ihn züchtigen und dann freilassen.
23 But they were urgent with a high voice, demanding that they might crucify him; and theirs and the voices of the high priests prevailed.
Sie aber hielten an mit lautem Geschrei und forderten, daß er gekreuzigt werde; und ihr und der Hohenpriester Geschrei nahm überhand.
24 And Pilatos commanded that their requirement should be done.
Da entschied Pilatus, daß ihre Forderung erfüllt werde,
25 And he released to them him who, for insurrection and murder, had been thrown into the house of the chained, whom they had asked: but Jeshu he delivered to their will.
und gab ihnen den frei, welcher eines Aufruhrs und Mordes wegen ins Gefängnis geworfen worden war, den sie begehrten; Jesus aber übergab er ihrem Willen.
26 AND as they led him away, they laid hold on Shemun Kurinoya, who was coming from the country, and they laid on him the cross, that he might bear (it) after Jeshu.
Und als sie ihn hinführten, ergriffen sie einen gewissen Simon von Kyrene, der vom Felde kam, und legten ihm das Kreuz auf, damit er es Jesus nachtrage.
27 And there followed him much people, and those women who mourned and wailed for him.
Es folgte ihm aber eine große Volksmenge, auch Frauen, die ihn beklagten und betrauerten.
28 And Jeshu turned to them, and said, Daughters of Urishlem, weep not for me, but for yourselves weep, and for your children.
Da wandte sich Jesus zu ihnen und sprach: Ihr Töchter Jerusalems, weinet nicht über mich; weinet vielmehr über euch selbst und über eure Kinder!
29 For, behold, coming are the days in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs which have not borne, and the breasts that have not suckled.
Denn siehe, es kommen Tage, da man sagen wird: Selig sind die Unfruchtbaren und die Leiber, die nicht geboren, und die Brüste, die nicht gesäugt haben!
30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us! and to the heights, Cover us!
Dann wird man anfangen, zu den Bergen zu sagen: Fallet über uns! und zu den Hügeln: Bedecket uns!
31 For if to the tree which is good they do these things, unto the dry what shall be?
Denn wenn man das am grünen Holze tut, was wird am dürren geschehen?
32 And there went with him two others, workers of evil, to be put to death.
Es wurden aber auch zwei andere hingeführt, Übeltäter, um mit ihm hingerichtet zu werden.
33 And when they came to a certain place called Karkaphtha, there they crucified him, and those workers of evil, one on his right hand, and one on his left.
Und als sie an den Ort kamen, den man Schädelstätte nennt, kreuzigten sie daselbst ihn und die Übeltäter, den einen zur Rechten, den andern zur Linken.
34 BUT Jeshu himself said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they divided his garments, and cast for them lots.
Jesus aber sprach: Vater, vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun! Sie teilten aber seine Kleider und warfen das Los.
35 But the people stood beholding, and the rulers also, mocking him, and saying, He saved others, let him save himself, if he be the Meshicha, the Chosen of God.
Und das Volk stand da und sah zu. Es spotteten aber auch die Obersten und sprachen: Andere hat er gerettet; er rette nun sich selbst, wenn er Christus ist, der Auserwählte Gottes!
36 And the soldiers also, deriding him, approaching him, and offering to him vinegar,
Es verspotteten ihn aber auch die Kriegsknechte, indem sie herzutraten, ihm Essig brachten
37 said to him, If thou art the King of the Jihudoyee, save thyself.
und sprachen: Bist du der König der Juden, so rette dich selbst!
38 And there was also an inscription which was written over him in Greek and Roman and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JIHUDOYEE.
Es stand aber auch eine Inschrift über ihm in griechischer, lateinischer und hebräischer Schrift: Dieser ist der König der Juden.
39 And one of those workers of evil who were hanged with him, blasphemed against him, saying, If thou art the Meshicha, deliver thyself, and deliver us also.
Einer aber der gehängten Übeltäter lästerte ihn und sprach: Bist du der Christus, so rette dich selbst und uns!
40 And his companion rebuked him, and said to him, Dost thou not fear (even) Aloha? for thou also art in this judgment.
Der andere aber antwortete, tadelte ihn und sprach: Fürchtest auch du Gott nicht, da du doch in gleichem Gerichte bist?
41 And we righteously, forasmuch as we have been deserving, and as we are punished for that which we have done;
Und wir zwar gerechterweise, denn wir empfangen, was unsere Taten wert sind; dieser aber hat nichts Unrechtes getan!
42 but this hath done nothing that is abominable. And he said to Jeshu, Remember me, my Lord, when thou art come into thy kingdom!
Und er sprach zu Jesus: Herr, gedenke meiner, wenn du zu deiner Königswürde kommst!
43 Jeshu saith to him, Amen I say to thee, That to-day with me thou shalt be in Paradise.
Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, ich sage dir, heute wirst du mit mir im Paradiese sein!
44 NOW it was about six hours, and there was darkness over all the earth until nine hours.
Es war aber um die sechste Stunde, und eine Finsternis kam über das ganze Land bis zur neunten Stunde.
45 And the sun darkened, and rent was the vail of the temple through the midst of it.
Und die Sonne wurde verfinstert, und der Vorhang im Tempel riß mitten entzwei.
46 And Jeshu cried with a high voice, and said, My Father, in thy hands I place my spirit. This he said, and completed.
Und Jesus rief mit lauter Stimme und sprach: Vater, in deine Hände befehle ich meinen Geist! Und als er das gesagt hatte, verschied er.
47 But when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified Aloha, saying, Assuredly this was a just man.
Als aber der Hauptmann sah, was geschah, pries er Gott und sprach: Wahrlich, dieser Mensch war gerecht!
48 And all the multitude, they who were assembled to see this, when they saw what was done, returned, smiting upon their breasts.
Und die ganze Volksmenge, die herbeigekommen war zu diesem Schauspiel, als sie sah, was geschah, schlug sich an die Brust und kehrte um.
49 And there were standing afar off all the acquaintances of Jeshu, and those women who came with him from Galila; and they saw these things.
Es standen aber alle seine Bekannten von ferne und die Frauen, die ihm von Galiläa her nachgefolgt waren, und sahen dies.
50 BUT a certain man, whose name was Jauseph, a senator from Rometha, a city of Jehud, a man (who) was good and just:
Und siehe, ein Mann namens Joseph, der ein Ratsherr war, ein guter und gerechter Mann
51 (this had not consented to the counsel and deed of them; and he was waiting for the kingdom of Aloha: )
(der ihrem Rat und Tun nicht beigestimmt hatte) von Arimathia, einer Stadt der Juden, der auf das Reich Gottes wartete,
52 this approached Pilatos, and begged the body of Jeshu;
dieser ging zu Pilatus und bat um den Leib Jesu
53 and he took it down, and wrapped it in a cloth of linen, and laid it in a hewn sepulchre, in which no one had hitherto been laid.
und nahm ihn herab, wickelte ihn in Leinwand und legte ihn in eine ausgehauene Gruft, worin noch niemand gelegen hatte.
54 And it was the day of the preparation; and the shabath had lighted.
Und es war Rüsttag, und der Sabbat brach an.
55 And the women also drew near, they who had come with him from Galila; and they saw the sepulchre, and where the body was laid;
Die Frauen aber, die mit ihm aus Galiläa gekommen waren, gaben ihm das Geleite und sahen sich die Gruft an und wie sein Leib hineingelegt wurde.
56 and, returned, they prepared balsams and aromatics, and on the shabath rested, as it is commanded.
Dann kehrten sie zurück und bereiteten Spezereien und Salben; am Sabbat aber ruhten sie nach dem Gesetz.
