< Luke 20 >
1 AND it was on one of the days, while he taught the people in the temple and evangelized, the chief priests and scribes with the elders rose up against him,
Na rĩrĩ, mũthenya ũmwe akĩruta andũ kũu hekarũ-inĩ na akĩhunjagia Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega-rĩ, athĩnjĩri-Ngai arĩa anene, na arutani a watho, hamwe na athuuri magĩũka kũrĩ we.
2 and said to him, Tell us by what authority thou doest these, and who is he who gave thee this authority?
Makĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Twĩre wĩkaga maũndũ maya na ũhoti ũrĩkũ. Nũũ wakũheire ũhoti ũcio?”
3 Jeshu answered and said to them, I will also ask of you a word, and tell you me:
Nake akĩmacookeria atĩrĩ, “O na niĩ nĩngũmũũria kĩũria.
4 the baptism of Juchanon, from heaven was it, or from the sons of men?
Ta njĩĩrai, ũbatithio wa Johana-rĩ, woimĩte igũrũ kana woimire kũrĩ andũ?”
5 But they reasoned within themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven, he saith to us, Why did you not believe him?
Makĩaranĩria o ene ũhoro ũcio, makĩĩrana atĩrĩ, “Tũngiuga atĩ ‘Woimĩte igũrũ’ egũtũũria atĩrĩ, ‘Mwakĩregire kũmwĩtĩkia nĩkĩ?’
6 But if we shall say, From men, all the people will stone us; for they are persuaded that Juchanon was a prophet.
Ningĩ tuoiga atĩ ‘Woimĩte kũrĩ andũ’, andũ othe nĩmegũtũhũũra na mahiga nyuguto, nĩ ũndũ nĩmetĩkĩtie atĩ Johana aarĩ mũnabii.”
7 And they said to him, We know not from whence it is.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio magĩcookeria Jesũ atĩrĩ, “Ithuĩ tũtiũĩ woimĩte kũ.”
8 Jeshu saith to them, Nor tell I you by what authority I do these.
Nake Jesũ akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “O na niĩ ndikũmwĩra njĩkaga maũndũ maya na ũhoti ũrĩkũ.”
9 And he began to speak to the people this parable: A certain man planted a vinery, and let it to husbandmen, and removed for a great time.
Agĩcooka akĩhe andũ ũhoro na ngerekano akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Mũndũ ũmwe nĩahaandire mũgũnda wake mĩthabibũ, na akĩũkomborithia arĩmi angĩ, agĩcooka agĩthiĩ kũndũ kũraya na agĩikara kuo ihinda iraaya.
10 And at the season he sent his servant to the husbandmen that they should give him of the fruit of the vinery. But the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.
11 And he added and sent another servant; but they beat him also, and maltreated him, and sent him away empty.
Agĩcooka agĩtũma ndungata ĩngĩ, ĩyo o nayo makĩmĩhũũra makĩmĩconorithia na makĩmĩingata ĩtarĩ na kĩndũ.
12 And he added and sent a third; but they also wounded him, and cast him out.
13 The lord of the vinery saith, What shall I do? I will send my son, the beloved; now will they see him and reverence him.
“Nake mwene mũgũnda ũcio wa mĩthabibũ akĩĩyũria atĩrĩ, ‘Ngwĩka atĩa? Ngũtũma mũrũ wakwa, ũrĩa nyendete; hihi mahota kũmũhe gĩtĩĩo’.
14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
“No rĩrĩa akombori acio maamuonire, makĩarĩrĩria ũhoro ũcio. Makĩĩrana atĩrĩ, ‘Ũyũ nĩwe ũkaagaya mũgũnda ũyũ. Nĩtũmũũragei nĩguo igai rĩake rĩtuĩke riitũ.’
15 And they cast him out of the vinery, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vinery do to them?
16 He will come and destroy those husbandmen, and will give the vinery to others. But when they heard, they said, May this not be!
Agooka oorage akombori acio, acooke ahe andũ angĩ mũgũnda ũcio.” Rĩrĩa andũ maiguire ũguo, makiuga atĩrĩ, “Kũroaga gũtuĩka ũguo!”
17 But he beheld them, and said, And what is that which is written, The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner?
Jesũ akĩmarora, akĩmooria atĩrĩ, “Maandĩko marĩa mandĩkĩtwo atĩrĩ: “‘Ihiga rĩrĩa aaki maaregire, nĩrĩo rĩtuĩkĩte ihiga inene rĩa koine’, ũguo nĩ kuuga atĩa?
18 And every one who shall fall upon this stone shall be broken; and every one on whom it shall fall it will scatter him.
Mũndũ ũrĩa wothe ũkaagwĩra ihiga rĩu, nĩrĩkamuunanga, no ũrĩa rĩkaagwĩra nĩrĩkamũhehenja.”
19 But the chief priests and Sophree sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; but they feared the people, for they knew that concerning them(selves) he had spoken this parable.
Arutani a watho na athĩnjĩri-Ngai arĩa anene magĩcaria ũrĩa mangĩmũnyiitithia o na ihenya tondũ nĩmamenyire aaheanire ngerekano ĩyo akĩaria ũhoro wao. No nĩmetigagĩra andũ.
20 And they sent to him spies, who should resemble just men, that they might take him in discourse, and deliver him to the judgment and to the authority of the governor.
O makĩmũtuĩragia-rĩ, makĩmũtũmĩra andũ a kũmũthigaana metuĩte andũ ega. Nao magĩthiĩ nĩgeetha mamũnyiite akiuga ũndũ mũũru, nĩguo mamũneane moko-inĩ ma wathani wa barũthi.
21 And they asked him, and said to him, Doctor, we know that thou speakest and teachest rightly, neither dost thou deceive, but with integrity thou teachest the way of Aloha.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio athigaani acio makĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Mũrutani, nĩtũũĩ wee waragia na ũkarutana maũndũ marĩa magĩrĩire, na atĩ ndũtĩagĩra andũ maũthĩ, no wee ũrutanaga ũhoro wa Ngai na ma, ũrĩa kwagĩrĩire.
22 Is it lawful for us to give head-silver to Cesar or not?
Atĩrĩrĩ, nĩtwagĩrĩirwo nĩ kũrutĩra Kaisari igooti kana ca?”
23 But he understood their subtilty, and said, Why tempt you me?
Nowe Jesũ akĩona ũhinga ũrĩa maarĩ naguo akĩmeera atĩrĩ,
24 Show me a dinara. Of whom upon it is the image and the inscription? But they said, Of Cesar.
“Ta nyoniai mbeeca cianyu. Mbica ĩno na rĩĩtwa rĩĩrĩ nĩ cia ũ?”
25 Jeshu saith to them, Give then of Cesar's to Cesar, and of Aloha's unto Aloha.
Makĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Nĩ cia Kaisari.” Akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Kĩrutagĩrei Kaisari kĩrĩa kĩrĩ gĩake, na mũrutagĩre Ngai kĩrĩa kĩrĩ gĩake.”
26 And they could not take hold of his words before the people; and they wondered at his answer, and were silent.
27 BUT some of the Zadukoyee approached, they who say that there is no resurrection;
Na rĩrĩ, andũ amwe a Asadukai, arĩa moigaga atĩ gũtirĩ ũhoro wa kũriũka, magĩũka kũrĩ Jesũ, makĩmũũria atĩrĩ,
28 and they questioned him, and said to him, Doctor, Musha wrote to us that if a man's brother die having a wife who hath not children, his brother shall take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
“Mũrutani, Musa aatwandĩkĩire atĩ mũrũ wa nyina na mũndũ angĩkua atige mũtumia atarĩ na ciana-rĩ, mũndũ ũcio no nginya ahikie mũtumia ũcio watigwo nĩguo aciarĩre mũrũ wa nyina ciana.
29 But there were seven brethren; and the first took; a wife, and died without children.
Na rĩrĩ, kwarĩ aanake mũgwanja a nyina ũmwe.
30 And the second took his wife, and he died without children.
Nake wa keerĩ,
31 And the third also took her; and so also the seven of them: and they died and left no children.
32 Died in the end also the woman.
Marigĩrĩrio-inĩ, mũtumia ũcio o nake agĩkua.
33 In the resurrection therefore, whose of them shall she be the wife? for the seven of them had taken her.
Rĩu-rĩ, hĩndĩ ya kũriũka agaakorwo arĩ mũtumia wa ũ harĩ acio mũgwanja, nĩgũkorwo othe nĩmamũhikĩtie?”
34 Jeshu saith to them, The sons of this world take wives, and women become (the wives) of men: (aiōn )
Jesũ akĩmacookeria atĩrĩ, “Andũ a ihinda rĩĩrĩ nĩo mahikaga na makahikania. (aiōn )
35 but they who of that world are worthy, and of the resurrection which is from among the dead, take not wives, neither do women become (the wives) of men. (aiōn )
No rĩrĩ, arĩa magaatuuo aagĩrĩru a gũkinya ihinda rĩu o na gũkinyanĩrio ihinda rĩa kũriũka kwa arĩa akuũ-rĩ, acio matikahikanagia o na kana mahikanagie. (aiōn )
36 Neither again can they die, for they are as the angels; and the children are they of Aloha, because they have become the children of the resurrection.
Andũ acio matigacooka gũkua; nĩgũkorwo makahaana ta araika. Andũ acio magakorwo marĩ ciana cia Ngai, nĩgũkorwo nĩ ciana cia ũhoro ũcio wa kũriũka.
37 But that the dead arise, Musha also showeth; for he commemorateth at the bush, while he saith, The Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Ishok, and the God of Jakub.
38 But he was not the God of the dead, but of the living: for they all live unto him.
We ti Ngai wa arĩa akuũ, no nĩ wa arĩa marĩ muoyo, nĩgũkorwo harĩ we andũ othe arĩa marĩ muoyo matũũragio nĩwe.”
39 And some of the Sophree answered and said to him, Doctor, thou hast well said.
Nao andũ amwe a arutani a watho makĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Mũrutani, nĩwoiga wega!”
40 And they dared not question him again of any thing.
Na gũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũmwe wageririe kũmũũria ciũria ingĩ.
41 AND he said to them, How say the Sophree concerning the Meshicha, that he is the Son of David?
Jesũ agĩcooka akĩmooria atĩrĩ, “Andũ moigaga Kristũ nĩ mũriũ wa Daudi nĩ ũndũ wa kĩĩ?
42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand,
Daudi we mwene nĩoigĩte ibuku-inĩ rĩa Thaburi atĩrĩ: “‘Mwathani nĩerire Mwathani wakwa atĩrĩ: “Ikara guoko-inĩ gwakwa kwa ũrĩo,
43 until I put thine adversaries beneath thy feet.
nginya ngaatũma thũ ciaku ituĩke gaturwa ka makinya maku.”’
44 If David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he his son?
Atĩrĩrĩ, Daudi aamwĩtire ‘Mwathani’. Angĩgĩcooka gũtuĩka mũriũ wake atĩa?”
45 And while all the people heard, he said to his disciples,
O andũ acio othe mathikĩrĩirie, Jesũ akĩĩra arutwo ake atĩrĩ,
46 Beware of the Sophree, who will to walk in stoles, and love the shaloma in public places, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the chief reclining-places at evening feasts;
“Mwĩmenyererei arutani a watho. O mendaga gũthiĩ mehumbĩte nguo ndaaya, na makenda kũgeithagio ndũnyũ-inĩ, na gũikaragĩra itĩ iria cia bata thunagogi-inĩ, o na gũikara handũ ha andũ arĩa atĩĩku maruga-inĩ.
47 who devour the houses of widows, and for the occasion prolong their prayers: these shall receive the greater judgment.
No nĩo matoonyagĩrĩra atumia a ndigwa makamatunya nyũmba ciao, na nĩguo meyonanie, makahooya mahooya maraihu. Andũ ta acio nĩmakaherithio mũno makĩria.”
