< Hebrews 7 >

1 For this Malki-Zedek is king of Sholim, the priest of Aloha the Most High. And he (it was who) met Abraham when he returned from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him.
Ri Melquisedec are jun nim taqanel rech ri tinimit Salem xuqujeꞌ chꞌawenel pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq rech ri nimalaj Dios, xpe chukꞌulaxik xuqujeꞌ chutewechiꞌj ri Abraham are xechꞌektaj kanoq ri e taqanelabꞌ rumal
2 And to him Abraham separated the tenth from every thing which he had with him. Now his name, being expounded, (is, ) the King of Righteousness; and again, MalekSholem, which is, King of peace:
ri Abraham xuya ri lajujil rech ronojel ri xuꞌchꞌeka loq pa ri chꞌoꞌj che ri Melquisedec. Ri ubꞌiꞌ ri Melquisedec kel kubꞌij taqanel rech sukꞌal xuqujeꞌ taqanel rech ri tinimit Salem, ri kel kubꞌij taqanel rech jaꞌmaril.
3 whose father and mother were not written in the genealogies; neither the beginning of his days, nor the conclusion of his life; but in the likeness (of that) of THE SON OF ALOHA standeth his priesthood for ever.
Man kꞌo jun etaꞌmaninaq jawjeꞌ xepe wi ri utat unan, man e kꞌo ta ratiꞌt uꞌmam, xuqujeꞌ man etaꞌmatal jampaꞌ xchapleꞌtaj loq ri ukꞌaslemal xuqujeꞌ jampaꞌ kakꞌisik, jun chꞌawenel cho ri Dios pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq, kajunumataj rukꞌ ri uKꞌojol ri Dios, ri kꞌaslik chibꞌe qꞌij saq.
4 But see how great this (person was, ) that Abraham, head of the fathers, gave to him the tenths and the choicest things.
Qas chiwilampeꞌ chi ri Melquisedec sibꞌalaj nim uqꞌij, rumal riꞌ ri Abraham xuya ri lajuj re ronojel ri xuꞌchꞌeka loq pa ri chꞌoꞌj che.
5 For they of the sons of Levi who have received the priesthood, have a commandment of the law to receive tenths from the people, they from their brethren, they also from the loins of Abraham having sprung.
Qas tzij wi, ri e rijaꞌl ri Leví ri kakikꞌamawaꞌj uqꞌabꞌ ri ubꞌanik ri chꞌawem cho ri Dios pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq, ri taqanik kubꞌij chi taqal chike kakikꞌamawaꞌj ri lajuj re ri kichꞌekoj ri tinimit, pa juleꞌ taq tzij chik pune we winaq riꞌ alaxik kukꞌ ri nikꞌaj chik e rijaꞌl xuqujeꞌ ri Abraham.
6 But he who is not written in their genealogies took tithes from ABRAHAM, and blessed him who had received the promise.
Ri Melquisedec kꞌut, rumal che ri man rijaꞌl ta ri Leví, xukꞌamawaꞌj ri lajuj re ri xuꞌchꞌeka loq ri Abraham pa ri chꞌoꞌj kꞌa te riꞌ xutewechiꞌj ubꞌiꞌ ri Dios rumal chi areꞌ ubꞌim loq we jastaq riꞌ che.
7 But, without controversy, he who is less is blessed by one who is Greater than himself.
Qas tzij wi qetaꞌm chi ri winaq ri kayoꞌw tewechibꞌal are nim cho ri kakꞌamawaꞌnik ri tewechibꞌal.
8 And here the sons of men who die receive the tithes; but there he concerning whom the scripture testifieth that he liveth.
Ri e chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios ri kekꞌamawaꞌnik ri lajuj re ri kichꞌekoj ri winaq, e winaq ri xa kekamik, are kꞌu ri Melquisedec kꞌaslik, rumal cher ri Tzꞌibꞌatalik man kubꞌij taj chi ri Melquisedec xkamik.
9 And as one may say, by the hand of Abraham, even Levi, he who taketh tithes, himself also is tithed.
Kuyaꞌo kaqabꞌij chi ri e chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios kamik, ri e rijaꞌl ri Leví, xkiya xuqujeꞌ ri lajuj re ri kichꞌekoj che ri Melquisedec, rumal cher are ri Abraham xtojow pa kibꞌiꞌ aꞌreꞌ.
10 For he was yet in the loins of his father when he met Malki-Zedek.
Rumal cher konojel ri e rijaꞌl ri Leví e rijaꞌl ri Abraham. Pune kꞌamajaꞌ kekꞌojiꞌk are xuriq ri Abraham ri Melquisedec, e kꞌo wi loq che ri Abraham.
11 If, therefore, Perfection were to be through the priesthood of the Levoyee, by which the law has been put upon the people, why was there another Priest required, who should arise in the resemblance of Malki-Zedek? For he had said, In the likeness of Aharun he shall be.
Are ri Dios xyoꞌwik ri taqanik chike ri tinimit Israel. We taqanik riꞌ xbꞌanik rumal cher xchomax rij chi ri e rijaꞌl ri Leví keꞌkitoꞌ ri winaq rech kuꞌx sukꞌ. Xa kꞌu rumal cher man xekwin taj ri chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios xkibꞌan waꞌ we riꞌ, tzi choqꞌaqꞌ wi chi xpe jun kꞌakꞌ chꞌawenel cho ri Dios: jun chꞌawenel cho ri Dios ri man rijaꞌl taj ri Aarón xane rijaꞌl ri Melquisedec.
12 But as a change hath been made in the priesthood, so is there also a change made in the law.
Rumal cher we kakꞌexetaj ri chꞌawenel cho ri Dios, kakꞌexetaj xuqujeꞌ ri taqanik.
13 For he concerning whom these things are said was born from another tribe, from which no man hath ministered at the altar.
Qas tzij, are Jesús we katzijox rij chi riꞌ, Areꞌ upetik chike jupuq winaq chik ri man patanijinaq taj cho ri tzujbꞌal.
14 For it is manifest that from Jihuda arose our Lord, from the tribe of whom Musha hath said nothing concerning priesthood.
Tzi qꞌalaj chi ri Ajawxel chike ri jupuq winaq Judá upetik wi, ri taqanik kubꞌij chi man kuya taj kape jun chꞌawenel cho ri Dios chike we winaq riꞌ.
15 And again: it is more fully known by that which hath said, In the likeness of MalkiZedek ariseth another Priest;
Sibꞌalaj man kꞌax taj uchomaxik we kaqakoj pa kwenta chi we chꞌawenel cho ri Dios ri tajin kaqatzijoj rij, kajunumataj rukꞌ ri Melquisedec.
16 who was made not by the law of bodily commandments, but in the power of a life which is indissoluble.
Man kajunumataj ta kꞌut kukꞌ nikꞌaj chꞌawenelabꞌ chik, rumal cher man xchaꞌ taj rumal chi kape chike jupuq kꞌyaqalik winaq, xane xchaꞌik rumal cher kꞌaslik chibꞌe qꞌij saq.
17 For he testifieth concerning him, Thou art a Priest for evermore according to the likeness of Malki-Zedek. (aiōn g165)
Kaqꞌalajisax kꞌut pa ri Tzꞌibꞌatalik are kubꞌij: At at chꞌawenel pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq chibꞌe qꞌij saq, jetaq ri Melquisedec. (aiōn g165)
18 But the change which was made in the first institution was on account of its powerlessness, and because profit was not in it.
Xaq jeriꞌ ri utaqanik ri Moisés xqꞌatiꞌk rumal cher man kꞌo ta xutayij.
19 For the law perfected nothing: but instead of it a hope has entered which is more excellent, (and) by which we are brought nigh unto Aloha.
Rumal cher ri taqanik, man xkwin taj xubꞌan sukꞌ chike ri winaq. Rumal kꞌu riꞌ xokisax chi loq jun kuꞌlibꞌal kuꞌx ri kakwinik kujuqebꞌisaj rukꞌ ri Dios.
20 And he hath confirmed it unto us in an oath.
Ri Dios xubꞌan jun chꞌekom tzij kukꞌ chi kuya wi na jun kichꞌawenel cho ri Dios man jetaq ta ri e kꞌo kanoq nabꞌe. Ri nikꞌaj e chꞌawenelabꞌ ri e kꞌo kanoq nabꞌe are xoꞌkik man xbꞌan ta chꞌekom tzij kukꞌ.
21 For they were made priests without an oath; but this with an oath: as he said unto him by the hand of David, The Lord hath sworn and will not lie, that thou art the Priest for ever in the likeness of Malki-Zedek. (aiōn g165)
Are xok ri Cristo che chꞌawenel pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq, ri Dios xubꞌan jun chꞌekom tzij rukꞌ Areꞌ, rumal cher pa ri Tzꞌibꞌatalik kubꞌij: Ri Ajawxel xubꞌan jun chꞌekom tzij man kakꞌexen ta wi ri uchomanik: “At at chꞌawenel wi chibꞌe qꞌij saq, jetaq ri Melquisedec.” (aiōn g165)
22 In all this more excellent is the covenant of (which) Jeshu is the sponsor.
Rumal riꞌ are ri Jesús yoꞌwinaq kuꞌlibꞌal qakꞌuꞌx chi kꞌo jun jeꞌl chꞌekom tzij ri uyoꞌm ri Dios chaqe.
23 There were (moreover) many priests, because they were dying, and were not permitted to remain.
Sibꞌalaj e kꞌi chꞌawenelabꞌ xaq kakikꞌex kibꞌ chubꞌanik ri kipatan rumal chi kekamik.
24 But because this (one) standeth for ever, his priesthood passeth not away. (aiōn g165)
Ri Jesús rumal che ri maj ukamik, are wa chꞌawenel pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq, ri kꞌaslik chibꞌe qꞌij saq. (aiōn g165)
25 And he is able to save for eternity them who approach by him unto Aloha; for he liveth through all time, and offereth up prayers on their behalf.
Rumal kꞌu riꞌ ri Jesús kakwinik kuꞌkol konojel ri keqebꞌ rukꞌ ri Dios jeriꞌ rumal cher ri Areꞌ kꞌaslik chibꞌe qꞌij saq chubꞌanik chꞌawem pa kiwiꞌ konojel ri winaq amaqꞌel.
26 For such an High Priest as this was adequate for us; pure, and without evil, and without spot; who was separate from sins, and exalted higher than heaven.
Rumal cher ri Jesús are kinimal chꞌawenelabꞌ ri kajawataj chaqe. Rumal cher ri Jesús man kꞌo taj umak, man kꞌo ta chꞌulujil che Areꞌ, xuqujeꞌ man kachiꞌl ta aꞌjmakibꞌ xane yaꞌtal nim uqꞌij cho ri kaj.
27 With him there was no necessity daily, like the chief of the priests, that first for his own sins he should offer sacrifices, and then on behalf of the people: for this he did once when in himself he offered.
Man kajunumataj ta kukꞌ ri nikꞌaj e kinimaꞌqil taq chꞌawenelabꞌ chik. Ri Jesús man kutzuj ta sipanik qꞌij chi qꞌij rumal ri umak, kꞌa te riꞌ rumal kimak ri tinimit, xane Areꞌ xutzuj jun sipanik xa junmul chibꞌe qꞌij saq, are ri ukꞌaslemal.
28 For the law constituted infirm men priests; but the word of the oath, which was subsequent to the law, (hath constituted) THE SON perfect for evermore. (aiōn g165)
Qas tzij wi, ri taqanik kuꞌchaꞌ achyabꞌ ri xaq kebꞌaqꞌoꞌtik rech kuꞌxik e kinimaꞌqil ri chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios, are kꞌu ri chꞌekom tzij ri xbꞌanik are yaꞌom chik ri taqanik are xuchaꞌo ri Kꞌojolaxel rech kok che kinimaꞌqil chꞌawenel pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq, are wa ri bꞌantal sukꞌ che, chibꞌe qꞌij saq. (aiōn g165)
