< Galatians 5 >

1 Stand therefore in that liberty with which the Meshiha hath freed you, and be not enthralled with the yoke of bondage.
Christ has set you free with freedom, Therefore stand, and be not again entangled with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I, Paulos, tell you, that if you be circumcised, the Meshiha profiteth you nothing.
Behold I Paul say unto you, that, if you may be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 But I attest again to every man who is circumcised, that he is obligated to fulfil the whole law.
And again I witness to every man who is circumcised, that he is debtor to do the whole law.
4 You have ceased from the Meshiha who are justified by the law, and from grace you have fallen.
You have been divorced from Christ, whosoever are justified by law: you have fallen from grace.
5 But we through the Spirit, who is from faith, expect the hope of righteousness.
For we through the Spirit do await the hope of righteousness through faith.
6 For, in the Meshiha Jeshu, circumcision is not any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which is made perfect by love.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision or uncircumcision avails anything; but faith working through divine love.
7 Well did you run; who hath impeded you, that to the truth you should not be in obedience?
You were running well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth?
8 Your persuasion is not from him who called you.
The persuasion is not of the one calling you.
9 A little leaven the whole mass leaveneth.
A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
10 I am confident of you in our Lord, that no other thing you will think; and he who disturbeth you shall bear judgment, whoever he is.
I have confidence in reference to you in the Lord, that you shall be none otherwise minded: but the one troubling you shall bear the judgment, whosoever he may be.
11 But I, my brethren, if yet I have preached for circumcision, why have I been persecuted? Hath the scandal of the cross ceased?
But I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? then the offence of the cross would be done away.
12 But I would that they who disturb you were even cut off.
I would that those troubling you shall indeed cut themselves off.
13 But you have been called unto liberty, my brethren: only let not your liberty be for an occasion of the flesh; but in love be subjected one to another.
For you were called unto liberty, brethren; only use not the liberty unto an occasion to the flesh, but through divine love serve one another.
14 For all the law in one word is fulfilled, in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
For the whole law has been fulfilled in one word, in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor with divine love as thyself.
15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest one by another you be consumed.
But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you may not be consumed one of another.
16 But I say to you, Walk in the Spirit, and the desires of the flesh you will not work.
And I say, Walk about in the Spirit, and do not perfect the lust of carnality.
17 For the flesh desireth that which is repugnant to the Spirit, and the Spirit desireth that which is repugnant to the flesh; and the two are adverse one to the other, that not any thing that you will you may do.
For carnality wars against the Spirit, and the Spirit against carnality; for these are antagonistical to one another; so that you may not do the things which you may wish.
18 But if by the Spirit you are led, you are not under the law.
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19 For the works of the flesh are known, which are (these), fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
But the works of carnality are manifest, which are fornication, uncleanness, debauchery,
20 the worship of idols, sorcery, enmity, contention, ambition, wrath, calumny, divisions, rendings,
idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, animosities, selfseekings, divisions, heresies,
21 envy, murder, drunkenness, revelling, and all that are like these; and they who do them, as I told you before, so now I tell you, the kingdom of Aloha do not inherit.
envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and things like unto these: which I tell you beforehand, as I did previously say to you, that those doing such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruits of the Spirit are, love, joy, peace, prolonging of the spirit, benignity, goodness, fidelity,
But the fruit of the Spirit is divine love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
23 meekness, patience; against these the law is not set.
meekness, holiness; against such things there is no law.
24 But they who are of the Meshiha have crucified their flesh, with all its passions and its lusts:
But those belonging to Christ Jesus have crucified carnality with the passions and lusts.
25 live we therefore in the Spirit,
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 and let us not be vain-glorious, contemning one another, envying one another.
Let us not be fond of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
