Colossians 2
1 But I wish you to know what an agony I have for you and for those who are in Laodikia, and for the rest who have not seen my person in the flesh;
Sillä minä soisin teidän tietävän, kuinka suuri kilvoitus minulla on teistä ja niistä, jotka Laodikeassa ovat, ja kaikista niistä, jotka ei minun kasvojani lihassa nähneet:
2 that their hearts may be comforted, and that they may approach in love to all the riches of assurance, and to the understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of Aloha the Father and of the Meshiha,
Että heidän sydämensä saisivat lohdutuksen ja liitetyksi tulisivat rakkaudessa kaikkeen rikkauteen, täydellisessä ymmärryksessä Jumalan ja Isän ja Kristuksen salaisuuden tuntemiseen,
3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.
Jossa kaikki viisauden ja taidon tavarat kätketyt ovat.
4 But this I say, Let no man deceive you with the persuasion of words.
Mutta sen minä sanon, ettei joku teitä viettelisi kavalalla puheella.
5 For though in the flesh I am far from you, yet in the spirit I am with you; and I rejoice to behold your order, and the firmness of your faith in the Meshiha.
Sillä vaikka en minä lihassa läsnä ole, niin minä kuitenkin hengessä teidän tykönänne olen, iloitsen ja näen teidän toimellisuutenne ja teidän vahvan uskonne Kristuksen päälle.
6 As, then, you have received Jeshu Meshiha our Lord, (so) in him walk,
Niinkuin te nyt Herran Jesuksen Kristuksen olette ottaneet vastaan, niin vaeltakaat hänessä,
7 your roots strengthened, and you builded in him, and established in that faith which you have learned, that you may abound therein with thanksgiving.
Ja olkaat hänessä juuritetut ja rakennetut ja uskossa vahvistetut, niinkuin te oppineet olette, ja olkaat siinä runsaasti kiitolliset.
8 Beware lest any man strip you by philosophy and by vain deceit, according to the teaching of men, and according to the principles of the world, and not according to the Meshiha,
Katsokaat, ettei joku teitä viettele philosophian ja turhain jaaritusten kautta, ihmisten opin ja maailmallisten säätyin jälkeen, ja ei Kristuksen jälkeen.
9 in whom dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Sillä hänessä asuu koko jumaluuden täydellisyys ruumiillisesti,
10 And in him also you are complete; for he is the head of all principalities and powers.
Ja te olette hänessä täydelliset, joka kaiken herrauden ja esivallan pää on,
11 And in him you have been circumcised with the circumcision which is not with hands, by the putting away of the flesh of sins, (even) by the circumcision of the Meshiha.
Jonka kautta te myös ympärileikatut olette sillä ympärileikkauksella, joka käsittä tapahtuu, syntisen ruumiin pois panemisen kautta, lihassa, Kristuksen ympärileikkauksella,
12 And you have been buried with him by baptism, and in him have risen with him, who have believed in the power of Aloha who raised him from among the dead.
Ynnä hänen kanssansa kasteen kautta haudatut, jossa te myös hänen kanssansa olette nousseet ylös uskon kautta, jonka Jumala vaikuttaa, joka hänen kuolleista herättänyt on,
13 And you who were dead in your sins, and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he hath made alive with him, and forgiven us all our sins;
Ja on teidät hänen kanssansa eläväksi tehnyt, kuin te synnissä kuolleet olitte, ja teidän lihanne esinahassa, ja on meille kaikki synnit anteeksi antanut.
14 and hath blotted out in his mandates the writing of our debts that was against us, and hath taken it from the midst, and affixed it to his cross;
Ja on pyyhkinyt pois sen käsikirjoituksen, joka säätyin kautta meitä vastaan oli ja oli meille vastahakoinen: sen hän otti pois ja naulitsi ristiin,
15 and by the yielding up of his body he hath prostrated principalities and powers, and hath shamed them openly by himself.
Ja on ryöstänyt vallitukset ja väkevyydet, ja toi heidät näkyviin, ja sai heistä voittokunnian itse kauttansa.
16 LET no man therefore judge you in meat and in drink, or in the distinctions of festivals, and of new moons, and of shabeths,
Älkään siis kenkään teitä tuomitko ruasta eli juomasta, taikka määrätyistä pyhäpäivistä, ei uudesta kuusta, eikä sabbateista,
17 which are shadows of those to come, but the body is the Meshiha.
Jotka ovat tulevaisten varjo, mutta itse ruumis on Kristuksessa.
18 And lest any man wish by abasement of mind to fetter you to be subject to the worship of angels, intruding upon that which he hath not seen, and vainly inflated in his fleshly mind;
Älkäät antako kenenkään voittaa teidän kilvoituksenne palkkaa, joka tahtoo teitä nöyryyteen ja enkelien palvelukseen, vaeltain niissä, joita ei hän nähnyt ole, ja on tyhmästi lihallisessa mielessänsä paisunut,
19 and not holding the Head, from whom all the body is composed and constituted in joints and limbs, and increaseth (with) the increase of Aloha.
Ja ei riipu kiinni Päässä, josta koko ruumis jäsenistä ja ravioista saa väkevyyden ja kokoon liitetty on, ja niin siinä lisäämisessä kasvaa, jonka Jumala antaa.
20 For if you are dead with the Meshiha from the principles of the world, why as if you lived in the world are you judged? as that
Jos te siis olette Kristuksen kanssa maailman säädyistä kuolleet, miksi te teitänne annatte säädyillä solmita, niinkuin te maailmassa eläisitte?
21 you are not to touch, nor to taste, nor to handle?
Älä siihen rupee, (sanovat ne, ) älä maista, älä pitele,
22 For these are of perishable use, and are ordinances and doctrines of men;
Jotka kaikki kulumisessa hukkuvat, ja ihmisten käskyt ja opit ovat,
23 and appear to have in them a reason of wisdom, with the look of humility and the fear of Aloha, (as) not sparing the body, (yet) not in that which is (really) of value, but in those (things) whose use pertains to the flesh.
Joilla kyllä viisauden muoto on itsevalitussa palveluksessa ja nöyryydessä, ja siinä, ettei he ruumistansa armahda eikä tee lihalle kunniaa hänen tarpeissansa.
