< Acts 22 >
1 Brethren and fathers, hear the defence which I make to you.
El fahk, “Mwet kacto ac mwet matwuk, porongo ke nga ac sifacna aksuwosyeyu nu suwos uh!”
2 And when they heard that Hebrew he was speaking with them, the more they ceased; and he said to them,
Ke elos lohng ke el kaskas nu selos ke kas na lalos, na elos misla yohk liki meet ah. Na Paul el sifilpa fahk:
3 I am a man a Jihudoya; and I was born in Tarsos of Cilicia, but was brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and instructed perfectly in the law of our fathers. And I was zealous for Aloha, even as all of you are also.
“Nga sie mwet Jew, su isusla Tarsus in Cilicia, tusruk nga matula in acn Jerusalem. Nga tuh sie mwet lutlut lal Gamaliel ac nga eis kas in luti na yohk ke Ma Sap lun mwet matu lasr meet ah. Nga srike in arulana moniyuk nu sin God, oana kowos nukewa su oasr inse inge misenge uh.
4 And this way I persecuted unto the death, while I bound and delivered to the house of the bound both men and women;
Nga kalyei mwet ma fahsr ke Inkanek sasu se inge, ac pus selos misa. Nga kapriya mukul ac mutan ac siselosyang nu in presin.
5 as the chief of the priests can testify of me, and all the elders, that from them I received letters to go to the brethren who were in Darmsuk, that also them who were there I should bring to Urishlem bound, that they might be fined.
Mwet Tol Fulat oayapa Un Mwet Pwapa Fulat nukewa elos ku in akpwayei lah pwaye ma nga fahk uh. Nga eis selos leta ma simla nu sin mwet Jew wiasr su muta in Damascus, oru nga tuh som nu we in sruokya ac kapriya mwet inge, ac usalosme nu Jerusalem in tuh kalyeiyuk elos.
6 And as I went, and began to approach Darmsuk in the dividing of the day, suddenly from heaven there shone upon me a great light,
“Ke nga fahsr ac apkuran nu Damascus, akuran nu ke infulwen len, sie kalem sarmelik inkusrao me ac apinyula.
7 and I fell upon the earth, and heard a voice, which said to me, Shaol, Shaol, why persecutest thou me?
Nga putatla nu infohk uh ac lohng sie pusra fahk nu sik, ‘Saul, Saul! Efu kom ku kalyeiyu?’
8 But I answered and said, Who art thou, my Lord? And he said to me, I am Jeshu Natsroya, whom thou persecutest!
Ac nga fahk, ‘Leum, su kom an?’ Na el fahk, ‘Nga Jesus lun Nazareth, su kom kalyei.’
9 And the men who were with me saw the light, but the voice they understood not which spake with me.
Mwet ma wiyu elos liye kalem sac, tusruk elos tiana lohng pusren el su kaskas nu sik.
10 And I said, What shall I do, my Lord? And he said to me, Arise, go into Darmsuk, and there shall it be told thee of whatever it is commanded thee to do.
Ac nga siyuk, ‘Leum, mea nga ac oru?’ Ac Leum el fahk nu sik, ‘Tuyak ac fahla nu Damascus, na ac tufah fwackot ma nukewa Leum El wotela kom in oru uh.’
11 And while I could not see because of the glory of that light, they who were with me took me by my hands, and I entered Darmsuk.
Kunla mutuk ke sripen kalem sac, ouinge mwet wiyu elos sruokya pouk ac pwenyuyak nu Damascus.
12 And a man, one Hanania, righteous in the law, as the Jihudoyee who were there testified of him,
“Oasr mukul se muta in siti sac pangpang Ananias, sie mwet alu nu sin God, su akos Ma Sap lasr uh ac arulana akfulatyeyuk el sin mwet Jew nukewa su muta we.
13 came to me, and said to me, Shaol, my brother, open thine eyes. And in a moment my eyes were opened, and I beheld him.
El tuku tu yuruk ac fahk, ‘Saul, ma lik, kom in sifilpa liye!’ In pacl sacna nga ku lac in liye, ac nga ngetang nu sel.
14 And he said to me, The God of our fathers hath appointed thee to know his will, and to see that Just One, and to hear the voice from his lips,
Na el fahk, ‘God lun mwet matu lasr somla El sulekomla in etu ma lungse lal, ac in liye Mwet Kulansap suwoswos lal, ac in lohng pusracl ke el kaskas nu sum.
15 that thou mayest be a witness to all men of all that thou hast seen and heard.
Kom ac fah sie mwet loh lal, in fahk nu sin mwet nukewa ma kom liye ac lohng.
16 And now why delayest thou? Arise, baptize, and be washed from thy sins, while thou callest his Name.
Na mea kom soano an? Tuyak ac baptaisla, tuh ma koluk lom in nasnasla ke kom pre inen Leum.’
17 And being returned, I came hither to Urishlem. And I prayed in the temple.
“Nga folokla nu Jerusalem, ac ke nga pre in Tempul, nga liye sie aruruma,
18 And I saw him in a vision, when he said to me, Hasten, and remove thee from Urishlem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.
ac in aruruma sac Leum el fahk nu sik, ‘Sulaklak som liki acn Jerusalem, mweyen mwet yenu inge ac tia lulalfongi ma kom ac fahk keik uh.’
19 And I said, My Lord, they know also how I delivered to the house of the bound, and smote in all the synagogues, those who have believed in thee.
Ac nga fahk, ‘Leum, elos arulana etu lah nga tuh som nu iwen lolngok uh, sruokya ac uni mwet ma lulalfongi in kom uh.
20 And when the blood of thy martyr Estephanos was shed, I also stood with them, and fulfilled the will of his murderers, and kept the garments of them who stoned him.
Ac ke pacl se ma anwuki Stephen, mwet kulansap lom, nga tuh wi pac muta insac. Nga insese nu ke ma orek nu sel ah, ac nga pa muta liyaung nuknuk lun mwet ma unilya ah.’
21 And he said to me, Go: for I send thee far away to preach to the Gentiles.
Ac Leum el fahk nu sik, ‘Fahla, tuh nga ac supwekomla nu yen loessula, nu yurin mwet sayen mwet Jew.’”
22 And when they had heard Paulos until this word, they lifted up their voice, and cried, Take from the earth one like this; for he ought not to live.
Mwet uh lipsre kas lal Paul uh nwe ke el fahkla ma inge; na elos mutawauk in wowoyak ke kuiyalos nufon ac fahk, “Sisulla! Unilya! Tia fal elan moul!”
23 And as they shouted and cast their garments and threw dust to the heaven,
Elos wowoyak, furok nuknuk lalos uh, ac sis fohkfok uh nu lucng.
24 the tribune commanded that he should be brought into the fortress, and commanded him to be questioned by scourging, that he might know for what cause they cried against him.
Leum se lun mwet mweun Rome uh sap mwet lal in eisal Paul nu inkul lalos uh, ac el sap elos in srunglul ac konauk lah efu ku mwet Jew uh wowo lainul ouinge.
25 And as they exposed him with thongs, Paulos said to the centurion who stood near him, Is it allowed you to scourge a Roman man who is not condemned?
Tusruktu ke elos kaprilya in sringsring el, Paul el siyuk sin sie pac mwet leum lun solse su tu insac, “Ya ma sap uh lela in sringsring sie mwet Rome meet liki nununkeyuk el?”
26 And when the centurion heard, he approached the tribune, and said to him, What doest thou? For this is a Roman man.
Ke mwet leum sac lohng ma se inge, el som nu yurin leum fulat sac ac siyuk sel, “Mea se kom nunku in oru uh? El ah el mwet Rome!”
27 And the tribune approached him, and said to him, Tell me, art thou a Roman? He said to him, Yes.
Ouinge leum fulat sac som nu yorol Paul ac siyuk sel, “Fahkma nu sik, ya kom mwet Rome?” Ac Paul el fahk, “Aok.”
28 The tribune answered, and said to him, I with much money purchased the Roman-right. Paulos said to him, But I was born in it.
Na leum sac fahk, “Nga tuh moli sie mani na yohk tuh nga in oaoa sie mwet Rome.” Ac Paul el fahk, “Nga nuna mwet Rome se e ke nga isusla.”
29 And immediately those who had sought to scourge him desisted from him; and the tribune feared when he learned that he was a Roman, because he had bound him.
In pacl sacna mwet ma ako in kusen siyuk nu sel Paul uh elos kilukla lukel, ac leum sac fosrngala ke el etauk lah el kapriya sie mwet Rome.
30 AND the day after he willed to know truly what was the accusation which the Jihudoyee brought against him. And he ordered him and commanded the great priests and all the synagogue of their rulers to come; and he took Paulos and brought (him) down, and stood him among them.
Mwet leum sac kena konauk lah mea mwet Jew uh srukak in lainul Paul kac uh; ouinge ke len se tok ah el sap in itukla sein uh lukel Paul, ac el sap mwet tol fulat ac Un Mwet Pwapa Fulat nukewa elos in toeni. Na el usalla Paul ac sap elan tu ye mutalos.
