Acts 13

1 But there were in the church of Antiokia prophets and teachers, Bar Naba and Shemun who was called Niger, and Lukios who was from the city of Kyrene, and Manael, a fosterbrother of Herodes Tetrarka, and Shaol.

൧അന്ത്യൊക്യയിലെ സഭയിൽ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരും ആയ ബർന്നബാസ്, നീഗർ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ശിമോൻ, കുറേനക്കാരനായ ലൂക്യൊസ്, ഇടപ്രഭുവായ ഹെരോദാവോടുകൂടെ വളർന്ന മനായേൻ, ശൌല്‍ എന്നിവർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

2 And as they fasted and supplicated Aloha, the Spirit of Holiness said to them, Separate to me Shaol and Bar Naba for the work to which I have called them.

൨അവർ കർത്താവിനെ ആരാധിച്ചും ഉപവസിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ: “ഞാൻ ബർന്നബാസിനെയും പൗലോസിനേയും വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വേലയ്ക്കായിട്ട് വേർതിരിപ്പിൻ” എന്ന് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

3 And after they had fasted and prayed, they laid upon them the hand, and dismissed them.

൩അങ്ങനെ അവർ ഉപവസിച്ചും പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചും അവരുടെ മേൽ കൈവച്ച് അവരെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

4 And they, being sent by the Spirit of Holiness, went down to Selukia, and from thence proceeded by sea to Cyprus.

൪പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് ബർന്നബാസിനെയും ശൌലിനെയും പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ട് അവർ സെലൂക്യയിലേക്ക് ചെന്ന്; അവിടെനിന്ന് കപ്പൽ കയറി കുപ്രൊസ് ദ്വീപിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെട്ടു,

5 And when they had entered the city Salamina, they preached the word of our Lord in the congregations of the Jihudoyee, and Juhanon ministered to them.

൫സലമീസിൽ ചെന്ന് യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പള്ളിയിൽ ദൈവവചനം അറിയിച്ചു. യോഹന്നാൻ അവർക്ക് സഹായി ആയിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

6 And when they had itinerated through the whole island unto the city Paphos, they found a man, a certain sorcerer, a Jihudoya, who was a false prophet, whose name was Bar Shuma.

൬അവർ മൂവരും ദ്വീപിൽകൂടി പാഫൊസ് വരെ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ ബർയേശു എന്ന് പേരുള്ള യെഹൂദനായ കള്ളപ്രവാചകനായൊരു വിദ്വാനെ കണ്ട്.

7 This adhered to a wise man who was proconsul, and was called Sergius Paulos. And the proconsul called Shaol and Bar Naba and requested to hear from them the word of Aloha.

൭അവൻ ബുദ്ധിമാനായ സെർഗ്ഗ്യൊസ് പൗലൊസ് എന്ന ദേശാധിപതിയോട് കൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു. സെർഗ്ഗ്യൊസ് പൗലൊസ് ബർന്നബാസിനെയും ശൌലിനെയും വരുത്തി ദൈവവചനം കേൾക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

8 But this sorcerer, Bar Shuma, whose name interpreted is Elymos, stood against them, because he desired to avert the proconsul from faith.

൮എന്നാൽ എലീമാസ് എന്ന ആഭിചാരകൻ (അവന്റെ പേരിന്റെ അർത്ഥം ഇതാണ്) അവരോട് എതിർത്തുനിന്ന് ദേശാധിപതിയുടെ വിശ്വാസം തടുത്തുകളവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.

9 But Shaol, he who is called PAULOS, was filled with the Spirit of Holiness, and beheld him,

൯അപ്പോൾ പൗലൊസ് എന്നും പേരുള്ള ശൌല്‍ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മപൂർണ്ണനായി അവനെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കി:

10 and said, O full of all deceits and all wickednesses, thou son of the devil, and adversary of all righteousness, ceasest thou not to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

൧൦“ഹേ സകലകപടവും സകല ദുഷ്ടതയും നിറഞ്ഞവനേ, പിശാചിന്റെ മകനേ, സർവ്വനീതിയുടെയും ശത്രുവേ, കർത്താവിന്റെ നേർവഴികളെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നതിനുള്ള ശ്രമം നീ മതിയാക്കുകയില്ലയോ?

11 And now the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, and not see the sun until the time. And in the hour there fell upon him obscurity and darkness, and he went about asking some one to hold him by the hand.

൧൧ഇപ്പോൾ കർത്താവിന്റെ കരം നിന്നിൽ പതിക്കും; നീ ഒരു സമയത്തേക്ക് സൂര്യനെ കാണാതെ കുരുടനായിരിക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഉടൻ തന്നെ ഒരു തിമിരവും ഇരുട്ടും അവന്റെമേൽ വീണു; കൈ പിടിച്ച് നടത്തുന്നവരെ തിരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ തപ്പിനടന്നു.

12 But when the proconsul saw what had been done, he wondered, and believed in the doctrine of the Lord.

൧൨ഈ ഉണ്ടായത് ദേശാധിപതി കണ്ടിട്ട് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുകയും കർത്താവിന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിൽ വിസ്മയിക്കുകയും, വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

13 BUT Paulos and Bar Naba went on by sea from the City Paphos, and came to Perga, a city of Pamphylia; and Juhanon separated from them, and went to Urishlem.

൧൩പൗലൊസും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും പാഫൊസിൽനിന്ന് കപ്പൽ നീക്കി, പംഫുല്യാദേശത്തിലെ പെർഗ്ഗയ്ക്ക് ചെന്ന്. അവിടെവച്ച് യോഹന്നാൻ അവരെ വിട്ടുപിരിഞ്ഞ് യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

14 But they went forth from Perga, and came to Antiokia, the city of Pisidia. And they entered the synagogue, and sat on the day of shabath.

൧൪അവരോ പെർഗ്ഗയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് പിസിദ്യാദേശത്തിലെ അന്ത്യൊക്യയിൽ എത്തി ശബ്ബത്ത് നാളിൽ യഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പള്ളിയിൽ ചെന്ന് ഇരുന്നു.

15 And after the law and the prophets had been read, the presbyters of the synagogue sent to them, and said, Men, brethren, have you a word of exhortation to say to the people?

൧൫ന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളും വായിച്ചുതീർന്നപ്പോൾ പള്ളിപ്രമാണികൾ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ച്: “സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ജനത്തോട് സന്ദേശം വല്ലതും പ്രബോധിപ്പാൻ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അറിയിക്കാം” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

16 And Paulos arose, and signed with his hand, and said to them:

൧൬പൗലൊസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടി നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചത്: “യിസ്രായേൽ പുരുഷന്മാരും ദൈവഭക്തന്മാരും ആയുള്ളോരേ, ശ്രദ്ധിപ്പിൻ.

17 Men, sons of Israel, and those who fear Aloha, hearken! The God of this people elected our fathers, and exalted and magnified them, when they were sojourners in the land of Metsreen, and with uplifted arm brought them out therefrom

൧൭“യിസ്രായേൽ ജനത്തിന്റെ ദൈവം നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലെ പ്രവാസകാലത്ത് ജനത്തെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ച്, തന്റെ കയ്യാൽ വീര്യം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവിടെനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു,

18 And he nourished them in the desert forty years.

൧൮മരുഭൂമിയിൽ നാല്പത് സംവത്സരകാലത്തോളം അവരുടെ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യം ഉളള സ്വഭാവം സഹിച്ചു,

19 And he destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, and gave them their land an inheritance. And four hundred and fifty years

൧൯കനാൻദേശത്തിലെ ഏഴ് ജാതികളെ ഒടുക്കി, അവരുടെ ദേശം അവർക്ക് അവകാശമായി വിഭാഗിച്ചു കൊടുത്തു. അങ്ങനെ ഏകദേശം നാനൂറ്റമ്പത് സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞു.

20 he gave them judges, until Shamuel the prophet;

൨൦അതിന്‍റെശേഷം ദൈവം അവർക്ക് ശമൂവേൽ പ്രവാചകൻ വരെ ന്യായാധിപതിമാരെ കൊടുത്തു,

21 and then prayed they for themselves a king; and Aloha gave to them Shaol-bar-Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, forty years.

൨൧അനന്തരം യിസ്രയേൽ ജനം ഒരു രാജാവിനെ ചോദിച്ചു; ദൈവം അവർക്ക് ബെന്യാമിൻ ഗോത്രക്കാരനായ കീശിന്റെ മകൻ ശൌലിനെ നാല്പതാണ്ടേക്ക് നൽകി.

22 And he took him, and raised unto them David the king, and testified of him, and said, I have found David, the son of Jeshai, a man according to my heart; he will perform all my will.

൨൨അവനെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞിട്ട് ദാവീദിനെ അവർക്ക് രാജാവായി വാഴിച്ചു: ‘ഞാൻ യിശ്ശായിയുടെ മകനായ ദാവീദിനെ എനിക്ക് ബോധിച്ച പുരുഷനായി കണ്ട്; അവൻ എന്റെ ഹിതം എല്ലാം നിവർത്തിയ്ക്കും’ എന്ന് അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു.

23 From the seed of this (man) the God of Israel, as he had promised, raised up Jeshu the Redeemer.

൨൩ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽനിന്ന് ദൈവം വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേൽ ജനത്തിന് യേശു എന്ന രക്ഷിതാവിനെ കൊടുത്തു.

24 And he sent Juhanon to proclaim before his coming the baptism of repentance to the whole people of Israel.

൨൪അവന്റെ വരവിന് മുമ്പെ യോഹന്നാൻ യിസ്രായേൽ ജനത്തിന് ഇടയിൽ ഒക്കെയും മാനസാന്തരത്തിന്റെ സ്നാനം പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.

25 And while Juhanon accomplished his ministry, he said, Whom think you that I am? I am not (he), but, behold, he cometh after me, he, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to unloose.

൨൫യോഹന്നാൻ തന്റെ ദൗത്യം പൂർത്തിയാക്കാറായപ്പോൾ: ‘നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ആർ എന്ന് നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു? ഞാൻ മശീഹയല്ല; അവൻ എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലിലെ ചെരിപ്പു അഴിക്കുവാൻ ഞാൻ യോഗ്യനല്ല’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26 MEN, brethren, sons of the race of Abraham, and they among you who fear Aloha, unto you is sent the word of life.

൨൬സഹോദരന്മാരേ, അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വംശത്തിലെ മക്കളും അവരോട് ചേർന്ന ദൈവഭക്തന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നമുക്കായിട്ടാകുന്നു ഈ രക്ഷാവചനം അയച്ചുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്.

27 For they, the inhabitants of Urishlem and their princes, have not consented thereto, nor also to the writings of the prophets which are read on every shabath; but condemned him, and accomplished all that was written.

൨൭യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളും അവരുടെ പ്രമാണികളും രക്ഷിതാവായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെയോ ശബ്ബത്തുതോറും വായിച്ചുവരുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വചനങ്ങളെയോ തിരിച്ചറിയാതെ അവനെ ശിക്ഷയ്ക്ക് വിധിക്കുകയാൽ അവനെ പറ്റിയുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തുകൾ നിവൃത്തിവരുത്തുവാൻ ഇടയായി.

28 And while they found not any cause of death, they requested Pilatos that they might kill him.

൨൮മരണത്തിനായുള്ള ഒരു കാരണവും അവനിൽ കാണാഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവനെ കൊല്ലേണം എന്ന് അവർ പീലാത്തോസിനോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

29 And when they had fulfilled every thing that was written concerning him, they took him from the cross, and laid him in a sepulchre.

൨൯അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത് ഒക്കെയും നിവർത്തിയായശേഷം അവർ അവനെ മരത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഇറക്കി ഒരു കല്ലറയിൽ വെച്ച്.

30 But Aloha raised him from among the dead.

൩൦ദൈവമോ അവനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്ന് ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു;

31 And he was seen days many by those who had come up with him from Galila to Urishlem, and they are now his witnesses unto the people.

൩൧അവൻ തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഗലീലയിൽനിന്ന് യെരൂശലേമിലേക്ക് വന്നവർക്ക് ഏറിയ ദിവസം പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; അവർ ഇപ്പോൾ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അവന്റെ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.

32 And we also, behold, we preach to you that that promise which was made to our fathers,

൩൨ദൈവം പിതാക്കന്മാരോട് ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദത്തം യേശുവിനെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചതിനാൽ മക്കൾക്ക് നിവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷിക്കുന്നു.

33 behold, Aloha hath fulfilled it to their children, (in) that he hath raised up Jeshu; as it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son; This day have I begotten thee.

൩൩‘നീ എന്റെ പുത്രൻ; ഇന്ന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു’ എന്നു രണ്ടാം സങ്കീർത്തനത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

34 And thus did Aloha raise him from among the dead, that again he should not return thither to see corruption; as he had said, I will give you the sure grace of David.

൩൪ഇനി ദ്രവത്വത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിയാതവണ്ണം ദൈവം അവനെ മരിച്ചവരിനിന്ന് എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് സങ്കീർത്തനക്കാരൻ: ‘ദാവീദിന്റെ സ്ഥിരമായുള്ള വിശുദ്ധ കൃപകളെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നല്കും’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു

35 And again he hath said in another place, Thou hast not given thy Saint to see corruption.

൩൫മറ്റൊരു സങ്കീർത്തനത്തിലും: ‘നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാൻ നീ അനുവദിക്കുകയില്ല’ എന്നും പറയുന്നു.

36 For David in his generation served the will of Aloha, and slept, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption.

൩൬ദാവീദ് തന്റെ തലമുറയിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലോചനയ്ക്ക് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തശേഷം നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോട് ചേർന്ന് ദ്രവത്വം കണ്ട്.

37 But This whom Aloha raised saw no corruption.

൩൭ദൈവം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചവനോ ദ്രവത്വം കണ്ടില്ല. ആകയാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ,

38 Know then, brethren, that through This himself is preached to you the remission of sins;

൩൮ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചവൻമൂലം നിങ്ങളോട് പാപമോചനം അറിയിക്കുന്നു എന്നും

39 and from all (from) which we could not by the law of Musha be justified, through This all who believe are justified.

൩൯മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നീതീകരണം പ്രാപിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാത്ത സകലത്തിൽ നിന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ക്രിസ്തുവിനാൽ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊൾവിൻ.

40 Beware, then, lest there come upon you that which is written in the prophets:

൪൦ആകയാൽ: ‘ഹേ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നവരേ, നോക്കുവിൻ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു നശിച്ചുപോകുവിൻ. നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളോടു വിവരിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത പ്രവൃത്തി തന്നേ’

41 Behold, despisers, and wonder, and perish: For a work I work in your days Which you will not believe if one should declare it to you.

൪൧എന്ന് പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിൽ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സംഭവിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളുവിൻ”.

42 And when they had gone out from among them, they besought of them that the next shabath they would speak to them these words.

൪൨അവർ പള്ളിവിട്ടു പോകുമ്പോൾ പിറ്റെ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ഈ വചനം തങ്ങളോട് പറയേണം എന്ന് അവർ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

43 And when the congregation was dissolved, many Jihudoyee went after them; and also the proselytes who worshipped Aloha. And they discoursed (with) and persuaded them to cleave to the grace of Aloha.

൪൩പള്ളി പിരിഞ്ഞശേഷം യെഹൂദന്മാരിലും ഭക്തിയുള്ള യെഹൂദമതാനുസാരികളിലും പലർ പൗലൊസിനെയും ബർന്നബാസിനെയും അനുഗമിച്ചു; അവർ അവരോട് സംസാരിച്ചു ദൈവകൃപയിൽ നിലനിൽക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവരെ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചു.

44 AND on the next shabath the whole city gathered to hear the word of Aloha.

൪൪പിറ്റെ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ഏകദേശം പട്ടണം മുഴുവനും ദൈവവചനം കേൾക്കുവാൻ വന്നുകൂടി.

45 And when the Jihudoyee saw the great assemblage, they were filled with envy, and arose against the words which Paulos spake, and blasphemed.

൪൫യെഹൂദന്മാരോ പുരുഷാരത്തെ കണ്ട് അസൂയ നിറഞ്ഞവരായി നിന്ദിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പൗലൊസ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിന് എതിർ പറഞ്ഞു.

46 But Paulos and Bar Naba said to them openly, To you it behoved first to speak the word of Aloha; but because you repel it from you, and determine against yourselves that you are not worthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)

൪൬അപ്പോൾ പൗലൊസും ബർന്നബാസും തികഞ്ഞ ധൈര്യത്തോടെ: “ദൈവവചനം ആദ്യം നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നത് ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അതിനെ തള്ളി നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ നിത്യജീവന് അയോഗ്യർ എന്ന് വിധിച്ചുകളയുന്നതിനാൽ ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങൾ ജാതികളിലേക്ക് തിരിയുന്നു. (aiōnios g166)

47 For so hath our Lord commanded, as it is written, I have set thee a light to the Gentiles, To be for salvation to the ends of the earth.

൪൭‘നീ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളവും രക്ഷ ആകേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ജാതികളുടെ വെളിച്ചമാക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു’ എന്നു കർത്താവ് ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

48 And when the Gentiles heard, they rejoiced and glorified Aloha; and they believed who were disposed unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

൪൮ജാതികൾ ഇതുകേട്ട് സന്തോഷിച്ച് ദൈവവചനത്തെ പുകഴ്ത്തി, നിത്യജീവനായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ എല്ലാവരും വിശ്വസിച്ചു. (aiōnios g166)

49 And the word of Aloha was spoken in all that region.

൪൯കർത്താവിന്റെ വചനം ആ നാട്ടിൽ എങ്ങും വ്യാപിച്ചു.

50 But the Jihudoyee excited the principal men of the city and rich women, who with them feared Aloha, and raised a persecution against Paulos and against Bar Naba, and cast them out from their bounds.

൫൦യെഹൂദന്മാരോ ഭക്തിയുള്ള മാന്യസ്ത്രീകളെയും പട്ടണത്തിലെ പ്രധാനികളെയും സ്വാധീനിച്ച് പൗലൊസിന്റെയും ബർന്നബാസിന്റെയും നേരെ ഉപദ്രവമുണ്ടാക്കി അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ അതിരുകളിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

51 And as they went forth, they shook off against them the dust of their feet; and they came to Ikanon, a city.

൫൧എന്നാൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കാലിലെ പൊടി അവരുടെ നേരെ തട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞ് ഇക്കോന്യയിലേക്ക് പോയി.

52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Spirit of Holiness.

൫൨ശിഷ്യന്മാർ സന്തോഷവും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവും നിറഞ്ഞവരായിത്തീർന്നു.
