2 Timothy 2
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
Vi do, mia filo, fortikiĝu en la graco, kiu estas en Kristo Jesuo.
2 And those (doctrines) which thou hast heard from me by many witnesses, them commit to faithful men, who are also able to teach others.
Kaj kion vi de mi aŭdis inter multaj atestantoj, tion transdonu al fidelaj homoj, kompetentaj instrui ankaŭ aliajn.
3 And endure evils as a good soldier of Jeshu Meshiha.
Vi do elportu suferojn, kiel bona militisto de Jesuo Kristo.
4 No man serveth as a soldier, and entangleth himself with the affairs of the world, that he might please him who hath chosen him.
Neniu militanto sin implikas en la aferojn de ĉi tiu vivo; por ke li plaĉu al sia varbinto.
5 And if one contendeth, he is not crowned, unless according to his law he contend.
Kaj se iu konkuras kiel atleto, li ne estas kronata, se li ne laŭregule konkuris.
6 It becometh the husbandman who laboureth that he should first eat of his fruits.
La laboranta terkultivisto devas la unua partopreni en la fruktoj.
7 Understand what I say to thee. Our Lord give thee wisdom in all things.
Konsideru tion, kion mi diras; ĉar la Sinjoro donos al vi komprenon pri ĉio.
8 Remember Jeshu Meshiha, that he arose from among the dead, he who is of the seed of David, according to my gospel;
Memoru Jesuon Kriston, levitan el la mortintoj, el la idaro de David, laŭ mia evangelio;
9 for which I endure evils unto bonds, as an evil-doer: but the word of Aloha is not bound.
en ĝi mi elportas suferadon ĝis ligiloj, kiel krimulo, sed la vorto de Dio ne estas ligita.
10 Therefore I endure every thing on account of the elect, that they also may find salvation in Jeshu Meshiha, with the glory that is eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Tial mi suferas ĉion pro la elektitoj, por ke ili ankaŭ atingu la en Kristo Jesuo savon kun gloro eterna. (aiōnios g166)
11 Faithful is the word: For if we be dead with him, With him also we shall live;
Fidinda estas la diro: Ĉar se ni mortis kun li, ni ankaŭ vivos kun li;
12 And if we endure, We shall also reign with him; But, if we deny him, He also will deny us!
se ni suferas, ni ankaŭ reĝos kun li; se ni malkonfesos lin, li ankaŭ nin malkonfesos;
13 And if we believe him not, He in his faithfulness abideth; For deny himself he cannot.
se ni malfidas, li restas fidela; ĉar li ne povas malkonfesi sin mem.
14 Of these (truths) remind them, and testify before our Lord, that they contend not with unprofitable words, to the overturning of those who hear them.
Memorigu ilin pri tio, admonante ilin antaŭ la Sinjoro, ke ili ne vortobatalu, kio estas neniel utila, kun risko de ŝancelo por la aŭdantoj.
15 And be careful to establish thyself perfectly before Aloha, a workman without shame, preaching rightly the word of truth.
Klopodu prezenti vin ĉe Dio kiel aprobita, laboranto senriproĉa, ĝuste pritaksante la vorton de la vero.
16 From vain words which have no utility in them withdraw; for they add greatly to the wickedness of those who are occupied with them.
Sed evitu profanajn babiladojn; ĉar ili iros antaŭen al pli multe da malpieco,
17 And their words as an eating cancer will lay hold upon many: but one of them is Hymeneos, and another Philetos,
kaj ilia parolo dismordos kiel gangreno; el kiuj estas Himeneo kaj Fileto,
18 who have erred from the truth, saying, that the resurrection of the dead hath been, and the faith of some overturning.
kiuj pri la vero eraris, dirante, ke la releviĝo estas jam pasinta; kaj ili renversas la fidon de kelkaj.
19 But the true foundation of Aloha standeth; and it hath this signature: And the Lord knoweth them who are his. And, Let every one who invoketh the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.
Tamen la firma fundamento de Dio staras, havante la jenan sigelon: La Sinjoro konas tiujn, kiuj estas liaj, kaj: Foriru de maljusteco ĉiu, kiu nomas la nomon de la Sinjoro.
20 But in a great house there are not vessels of gold only or of silver, but also of wood, also of clay: of them (some are) to honour, and of them (some) to dishonour.
Sed en granda domo estas vazoj ne nur oraj kaj arĝentaj, sed ankaŭ lignaj kaj argilaj, kaj unuj por honoro kaj aliaj por malhonoro.
21 If a man then purify himself from these, he will be a pure vessel unto honour, fitted for the use of his Lord, and prepared for every good work.
Se do iu purigos sin de ĉi tiuj, li estos vazo por honoro, sanktigita, taŭga por la mastro, pretigita por ĉiu bona laboro.
22 From all the lusts of youth escape; and pursue after righteousness, and faith, and charity, and peace, with them who call upon the Lord with a pure heart.
Sed forkuru de junulaj voluptoj, kaj sekvu justecon, fidon, amon, pacon, kune kun tiuj, kiuj vokas la Sinjoron el pura koro.
23 From foolish controversies which are without instruction withdraw; for thou knowest that they beget strifes.
Sed malsaĝajn kaj neklerajn demandojn evitu, sciante, ke ili naskas malpacojn.
24 But a servant of the Lord oweth not to strive, but to be gentle towards every man, and teaching, and long-suffering,
Kaj la servisto de la Sinjoro devas ne malpaci, sed esti afabla al ĉiuj, instruema, tolerema,
25 that he may instruct them who would contend against him with meekness, if by any means Aloha may give them conversion, and they may acknowledge the truth,
en humileco instruante tiujn, kiuj kontraŭstaras; eble Dio donos al ili penton, por ke ili venu al scio de la vero,
26 and be mindful of themselves, and remove from the snare of Satana, by whom they have been entrapped at his will.
kaj por ke ili sobraj eliĝu el la kaptilo de la diablo, kaptite de li, por plenumi lian volon.
