< 1 Timothy 5 >
1 An elder do not reprimand, but persuade him as a father, and those who are young as thy brethren,
Mègaƒo nu na ametsitsi aɖeke kple adã o, ke boŋ ƒo nu nɛ bubutɔe abe wò ŋutɔ fofowòe nèle nu ƒom na ene. Ƒo nu na ɖekakpuiwo abe ale si nàƒo nu na nɔviwò ŋutsu lɔlɔ̃awo ene.
2 and the elderly women as mothers, and those who are young as thy sisters, with all purity.
Tsɔ nyɔnu tsitsiwo abe dawòwo ene, eye ɖetugbiwo abe nɔviwò nyɔnuwo ene eye susu dzadzɛwo ko nanɔ wò ta me ɖe wo ŋu.
3 The widows honour them who are widows in truth.
Nenye be ahosiwo mekpɔ ame aɖeke wòakpɔ wo dzi o la, ekema hamea natsɔe ɖo eɖokui dzi, atsɔ lɔlɔ̃ akpɔ wo dzii.
4 And if there be a widow who hath children, or children's children, let them learn first to do justly for their families, and to repay the debts (owing) to their parents; for this is acceptable before Aloha.
Ke ne viwo alo mamayɔviwo le wo si la, ekema ele be woawo nakpɔ wo dzi, elabena ele be dɔmenyowɔwɔ nadze egɔme tso aƒe me, eya ta ele be woakpe ɖe wo dzila siwo le hiã me la ŋuti. Esia nye nane si dzea Mawu ŋu ŋutɔŋutɔ.
5 But she who is truly a widow and solitary (is one) whose hope is in Aloha, and who persevereth in prayer and in supplication by night and by day.
Hame la nekpɔ ahosi dahe siwo tsi akogo le xexea me la dzi nenye be wole Mawu sinu kpɔm be wòakpe ɖe yewo ŋuti, eye wole gbe dom ɖa atraɖii,
6 But she who serveth pleasure is dead while she liveth.

7 These things prescribe to them, that they be without blame.
Esia nanye miaƒe hame la ƒe ɖoɖo, ale be kristotɔwo nanya, eye woawɔ nu si dze la.
8 For if a man hath not care of them who are his own, and especially of them who are children of the household of faith, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than those who believe not.
Ke ame si makpe ɖe eya ŋutɔ ƒe ƒometɔ siwo le hiã me, vevitɔ esiwo le eya ŋutɔ ƒe aƒe me ŋuti o la, mekpɔ mɔ be wòayɔ eɖokui be xɔsetɔ o. Trɔ̃subɔla gɔ̃ hã nyo wu ame sia tɔgbi.
9 Elect, then, the widow who is not less than sixty years, who hath had one husband,
Womatsɔ ahosi aɖeke ƒe ŋkɔ ade ahosiwo dome o, negbe exɔ ƒe blaade kple edzivɔ, eye wònye ame si nɔ srɔ̃a gbɔ le nyateƒetoto me.
10 and who hath the testimony of good works: if she have brought up children, if she have received guests, if she have washed the feet of the saints, if she have cheered the afflicted, if she have walked in every gracious work.
Ele be wòakpɔ ɖaseɖiɖi nyui le amewo katã gbɔ le eƒe dɔ nyui wɔwɔ me. Le kpɔɖeŋu me, ame si hea viawo nyuie, lɔ̃a amedzrowɔwɔ, klɔa ame kɔkɔewo ƒe afɔwo, kpena ɖe ame siwo ɖo xaxa me la ŋu, eye wòƒoa eɖokui ɖe dɔ nyui sia dɔ nyui wɔwɔ me.
11 But from the widows who are young, withhold (the election); for these become schismatical against the Meshiha, and seek to marry,
Mele be woaxɔ ahosi siwo metsi o la ɖe dɔ tɔxɛ wɔla siawo dome o, elabena le ɣeyiɣi kpui aɖe megbe la, woada le adzɔgbe si woɖe na Kristo la dzi, eye woagaɖe srɔ̃.
12 and their condemnation is confirmed, because they have rejected their first fidelity.
Ale woadze na tohehe, elabena woda le woƒe ŋugbedodo ƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖe la dzi.
13 They also learn idleness, wandering from house to house; and not only idleness, but also to multiply words, and to follow vain (pursuits), and to speak things which they ought not.
Hekpe ɖe esia ŋuti la, ele eme be woava zu ame ɖɔewo, eye woagblẽ woƒe ɣeyiɣi anɔ ameŋunya gblɔm tso aƒe si me yi ekemɛ me, anɔ nu dem ame bubuwo ƒe nya me.
14 I will therefore that those who are young should marry, and bear children, and conduct their households,
Eya ta mesusu be enyo na ahosi siwo metsi o la be woagaɖe srɔ̃, adzi viwo, eye woakpɔ woawo ŋutɔ ƒe aƒe dzi. Ekema ame aɖeke mate ŋu agblɔ nya aɖeke ɖe wo ŋuti o.
15 and not give to the adversary any occasion to revile. For already have some begun to turn aside after Satana.
Elabena mevɔ̃ be wo dometɔ aɖewo do hamea me, eye Satana kplɔ wo tra mɔe xoxo.
16 If any believing man or believing woman have widows, let them support them, that they may not be burden-some on the church, that they who are widows indeed may have sufficient.
Na magaɖo ŋku edzi na wò ake be ele na ahosiwo ƒe ƒometɔwo be woakpɔ wo dzi, eye mele be woaɖe asi le dɔ sia wɔwɔ ŋuti na hamea o. Ekema hamea ate ŋu atsɔ ga si le esi la akpɔ ahosi amemanɔsitɔwo dzii.
17 Those presbyters who well conduct themselves shall be worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and in doctrine.
Hamedzikpɔla siwo wɔa hadɔ nyuie la dze na bubuteƒe eve, vevietɔ esiwo kua kutri le mawunyagbɔgblɔ kple efiafia me,

20 Those who sin before all men reprove, that the rest may be afraid.
Woaka mo na nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo le hame bliboa ŋkume be wòanye kpɔɖeŋu na ame bubuwo.
21 I attest thee before Aloha and our Lord Jeshu Meshiha and his elect angels, that thou keep these, (precepts, ) and let not thy mind be pre-occupied by any thing, and do nothing with acceptance of persons.
22 The hand suddenly on any man lay not, neither participate in others' sins. Keep thyself in purity.

24 THERE are men whose sins are known, and they precede them to the place of judgment; and there are whose (sins) go after them.

25 So also good men are known; and those who are otherwise cannot be hid.
