1 John 3
1 And see how great is the love of the Father toward us, that sons he hath called us, and also made us! Therefore the world doth not know us, because that it hath also not known him.
Ser till hurudana kärlek Fadren hafver bevist oss, att vi kallas Guds barn; fördenskull känner intet verlden eder; ty hon känner intet honom.
2 MY beloved, now are we the sons of Aloha; and it is not manifest, as yet, what we are to become, but we know, that when he is manifested, in his likeness we are and see him, according to that which he is.
Mine käreste, vi äre nu Guds barn, och det är än icke uppenbaradt hvad vi varda skole; men det vete vi, när han blifver uppenbar, då vardom vi honom like; ty vi få se honom såsom han är.
3 And every one who hath in him this hope, purifieth himself, as He is pure.
Och hvar och en som hafver detta hopp i honom, han renar sig, såsom han ock ren är.
4 But whoever committeth sin doeth iniquity; for all sin is iniquity.
Hvar och en som gör synd, han gör ock orätt, och synd är orätt.
5 And you know that he was manifested to bear our sins, and sin in him is not.
Och I veten att han var uppenbarad, på det han skulle borttaga våra synder; och ingen synd är i honom.
6 And every one who in him abideth, sinneth not. And every one who sinneth, hath not seen him, nor known him.
Hvar och en som blifver i honom, han syndar icke; hvar och en som syndar, han hafver icke sett honom, icke heller känt honom.
7 My sons, let no man deceive you: he who worketh righteousness is righteous, as also the Meshiha himself is righteous.
Kära barn, låter ingen bedraga eder. Den som gör rätt, han är rättfärdig, såsom ock han rättfärdig är.
8 And he who doeth sin is of Satana, because that from the commencement Satana was a sinner. And for this cause did the Son of Aloha appear, that he might destroy the works of Satana.
Den der gör synd, han är af djefvulen; ty djefvulen syndar af begynnelsen; och fördenskull uppenbarades Guds Son, att han skulle nederslå djefvulens gerningar.
9 Every one who is born of Aloha, sin doth not work, because that his seed is in him, and he cannot sin, because of Aloha he is born.
Hvar och en, som född är af Gudi, han gör icke synd; ty hans säd blifver i honom; och han kan icke synda, ty han är född af Gudi.
10 In this are distinguished the sons of Aloha from the sons of Satana; every one who doeth not righteousness, nor loveth his brother, is not of Aloha.
Derpå känner man, hvilke Guds barn, eller hvilke djefvulens barn äro; hvar och en som icke gör rätt, han är icke af Gudi; och den som icke älskar sin broder.
11 For this is the commandment which you have heard from before, that you love one another.
Ty detta är det budskap, som I hafven hört af begynnelsen, att vi skole älskas inbördes;
12 Not as Koen, who was from the Evil, and killed his brother. And on what account killed he him? unless that his own works were evil and his brother's righteous.
Icke såsom Cain, som var af dem onda, och slog sin broder ihjäl. Och för hvars skull slog han honom ihjäl? Ty hans gerningar voro onda; men hans broders gerningar rättfärdiga.
13 Do not wonder, my brethren, if the world hate you.
Förundrer icke, mine bröder, om verlden hatar eder.
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, by this, that we love our brethren. He who loveth not his brother, in death continueth.
Vi vete, att vi ärom förde ifrå döden till lifvet; ty vi älskom bröderna. Den der icke älskar brodren, han blifver i dödenom.
15 For every one who hateth his brother is a man-killer; and we know that in no man-killer can abide the life which is eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Hvar och en som hatar sin broder, han är en mandråpare; och I veten, att hvar och en mandråpare hafver icke evinnerligit lif blifvandes i sig. (aiōnios g166)
16 In this we know His love toward us, that he gave himself for us; (so) also it is right for us for the sake of our brethren to give ourselves.
Derpå kännom vi Guds kärlek, att han hafver låtit sitt lif för oss; och skolom ock vi låta vårt lif för bröderna.
17 And he who hath the possession of the world, and shall see his brother that he needeth, and shall shut his compassions from him, how is there in him the love of Aloha?
Den som hafver denna verlds gods, och ser sin broder vara nödställd, och sluter sitt hjerta till för honom, huru blifver Guds kärlek i honom?
18 My sons, let us not love one another in words and in tongue, but in works and in truth.
Min barn, älskoms icke med ordom, eller med tungone, utan med gerning och sanning.
19 And by this we make known that we are of the truth, and before that he cometh we make confident our hearts.
Deraf vete vi, att vi ärom af sanningene, och kunnom stilla vår hjerta för honom;
20 And if our heart condemn us, how much (more) Aloha, who is greater than our heart, and knoweth every thing!
Att om vårt hjerta fördömer oss, då är Gud större än vårt hjerta, och vet all ting.
21 My beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have openness of face before Aloha.
Mine käreste, om vårt hjerta fördömer oss icke, då hafve vi en förtröstning till Gud;
22 And whatever we ask, we shall receive from him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things which are beautiful before him.
Att vi få af honom allt det vi bedje; ty vi hållom hans bud, och görom det honom ljuft är.
23 And this is his commandment, That we believe in the name of his Son Jeshu Meshiha, and love one another, as he hath commanded us.
Och detta är hans bud, att vi skolom tro på hans Sons, Jesu Christi, Namn; och älska oss inbördes, såsom han oss budit hafver.
24 And he who keepeth his commandments, is kept by him, and he dwelleth in him: and by this we perceive that he dwelleth in us, by his Spirit whom he hath given to us.
Och den der håller hans bud, han blifver i honom, och han i honom; och deraf vete vi, att han blifver i oss, af Andanom som han oss gifvit hafver.
