1 Corinthians 11
1 Be imitators of me, as I am of the Meshiha.
Nifuateni mimi, kama na mimi ninavyomfuata Kristo.
2 But I commend you, my brethren, that in every thing you remember me; and that as I have delivered to you precepts, you hold them.
Sasa nawasifu kwasababu ya vile mnavyonikumbuka katika mambo yote. Nawasifu kwasababu mmeyashika mapokeo kama nilivyoyaleta kwenu.
3 But I would that you know that the Meshiha is the head of every man; and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of the Meshiha is Aloha.
Basi nataka mfahamu ya kuwa Kristo ni kichwa cha kila mwanaume, naye mwanaume ni kichwa cha mwanamke, na ya kuwa Mungu ni kichwa cha Kristo.
4 Every man who prayeth or prophesieth having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
Kila mwanaume aombaye au atoae unabii akiwa amefunika kichwa anakiabisha kichwa chake.
5 And every woman who prayeth or prophesieth having her head uncovered, dishonoureth her head, for she is similar to one whose head is shaven.
Lakini kila mwanamke aombae au kutoa unabii hali kichwa chake kikiwa wazi anakiaibisha kichwa chake. Kwa maana ni sawa sawa na kama amenyolewa.
6 For if a woman be not covered, let her be shorn; but if it be shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
Ikiwa kama mwanamke hatafunika kichwa chake, na akatwe nywele zake ziwe fupi. Maana ikiwa ni aibu mwanamke kukata nywele zake au kunyolewa, basi afunike kichwa chake.
7 For a man is not obligated to cover his head, because he is the likeness and the glory of Aloha; but woman is the glory of man.
Kwani haimpasi mwanamume kufunika kichwa chake, kwa sababu yeye ni mfano na utukufu wa Mungu. Lakini mwanamke ni utukufu wa mwanamume.
8 For the man is not from woman, but the woman is from man.
Maana mwanamume hakutokana na mwanamke. Bali mwanamke alitokana na mwanamume.
9 Neither was the man created for the sake of woman, but woman for the sake of man.
Wala mwanamume hakuumbwa kwa ajili ya mwanamke. Bali mwanamke aliumbwa kwa ajili ya mwanamume.
10 Because of this the woman is a debtor, that the power shall be upon her head, on account of the angels.
Hii ndio sababu mwanamke anapaswa kuwa na ishara ya mamlaka juu ya kichwa chake, kwa sababu ya malaika.
11 Nevertheless man is not without woman, neither is woman without man, in our Lord.
Hata hivyo, katika Bwana, mwanamke hayupo peke yake pasipo mwanamume, au mwanamume pasipo mwanamke.
12 For as a woman is from man, so is man by woman; but every thing is from Aloha.
Maana kama vile mwanamke alitoka kwa mwanamume, vile vile mwanamume alitoka kwa mwanamke. Na vitu vyote hutoka kwa Mungu.
13 Judge among yourselves, Is it comely for a woman with her head revealed to pray to Aloha?
Hukumuni wenyewe: Je! ni sahihi mwanamke amuombe Mungu hali kichwa chake kikiwa wazi?
14 Does not nature itself teach you, that when a man's hair standeth, it is a disgrace to him?
Je hata asili peke yake haiwafundishi ya kwamba mwanamume akiwa na nywele ndefu ni aibu kwake?
15 But when a woman increaseth her hair, it is a glory to her; because her hair for a covering was given to her.
Je asili haiwafundishi ya kwamba mwanamke akiwa na nywele ndefu ni utukufu kwake? Maana amepewa zile nywele ndefu kama vazi lake.
16 But if any man contendeth about these things, we have no such usage as this, neither the church of Aloha.
Lakini ikiwa mtu yeyote anataka kubishana juu ya hili, sisi hatuna namna nyingine, wala makanisa ya Mungu.
17 But this I prescribe not as praising you, because you go not forward, but to the less you descend.
Katika maagizo yafuatayo, mimi siwasifu. Maana mnapokusanyika, sio kwa faida bali kwa hasara.
18 For, first, when you are assembled in the church, there are divisions, (as) I hear, among you, and in some measure I believe.
Maana kwanza, nasikia ya kuwa mkutanikapo kanisani, kuna migawanyiko kati yenu, na kwa sehemu ninaamini.
19 For it is to be that contentions be among you, that they who are approved with you may be known.
Kwa maana ni lazima iwepo misuguano kati yenu, ili kwamba wale waliokubaliwa wajulikane kwenu.
20 When then you are assembled, not as befitteth the day of the Lord you eat and drink,
Kwa maana mkutanikapo, mnachokula sio chakula cha Bwana.
21 but each man his own supper before eateth, and one is hungry, and one drunken.
Mnapokula, kila mmoja hula chakula chake mwenyewe kabla wengine hawajala. hata huyu ana njaa, na huyu amelewa.
22 What? have you not houses (in) which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of Aloha, and shame those who have nothing to eat? What do I say to you? Do I praise you in this? I praise you not.
Je hamna nyumba za kulia na kunywea? Je mnalidharau kanisa la Mungu na kuwafedhehesha wasio na Kitu? Niseme nini kwenu? Niwasifu? Sitawasifu katika hili!
23 FOR I received from our Lord that which I have delivered unto you: that our Lord Jeshu in that night when he was betrayed took bread;
Maana nilipokea kutoka kwa Bwana kile ambacho nimewapa ninyi ya kuwa Bwana Yesu, usiku ule aliposalitiwa, alichukua mkate.
24 and he blessed and brake, and said, Take, eat, this (is) my body which for you is broken: so do to my remembrance.
Baada ya kushukuru, aliuvunja na kusema, “Huu ndio mwili wangu, ulio kwa ajili yenu. Fanyeni hivi kwa kunikumbuka mimi.”
25 Likewise after they had supped he gave also the cup, and said, This cup is the new covenant in my blood; so do, whensoever you shall drink (it) to my remembrance.
Na vivi hivi akachukua kikombe baada ya kula, na kusema, “Kikombe hiki ni agano jipya katika damu yangu. Fanyeni hivi mara nyingi kila mywapo, kwa kunikumbuka mimi.”
26 For whensoever you eat this bread, and drink this cup, the death of our Lord you commemorate until his advent.
Kwa kila muda mlapo mkate huu na kukinywea kikombe, mwaitangaza mauti ya Bwana mpaka atakapokuja.
27 Whoever then eateth of the bread of the Lord, and drinketh of his cup, and is not worthy of it, is guilty of the blood of the Lord and of his body.
Kwa hiyo, kila aulaye mkate au kukinywea kikombe hicho cha Bwana isivyostahili, atakuwa amejipatia hatia ya mwili na damu ya Bwana.
28 On this account a man should prove himself, and then eat of this bread, and drink of this cup.
Mtu ajihoji mwenyewe kwanza, na hivyo aule mkate, na kukinywea kikombe.
29 For whoever eateth and drinketh of it while not worthy, condemnation to himself he eateth and drinketh, because he hath not distinguished the body of the Lord.
Maana alaye na kunywa bila kuupambanua mwili, hula na kunywa hukumu yake mwenyewe.
30 On this account many among you are sick and infirm, and many who sleep.
Hii ndiyo sababu watu wengi kati yenu ni wagonjwa na dhaifu, na baadhi yenu wamekufa.
31 For if we judge ourselves, we shall not be judged.
Lakini tukijichunguza wenyewe hatutahukumiwa.
32 But when we are judged of our Lord, we are chastised, that not with the world we might be condemned.
Ila tunapohukumiwa na Bwana, twarudiwa, ili tusije tukahukumiwa pamoja na dunia.
33 Wherefore, my brethren, when you assemble to eat, wait for one another.
Kwa hiyo, kaka na dada zangu, mkutanikapo mpate kula, ngojeaneni.
34 But whoever hungereth, in his (own) house let him feed; that you may not assemble unto condemnation. Concerning the rest, when I come I will direct you.
Mtu akiwa na njaa, na ale nyumbani kwake, ili kwamba mkutanikapo pamoja isiwe kwa hukumu. Na kuhusu mambo mengine mliyoandika, nitawaelekeza nitakapokuja.
