Đây là mặc khải của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu mà Đức Chúa Trời đã ban cho Ngài để bày tỏ cho các tôi tớ Ngài những việc sắp phải xảy ra. Ngài đã sai thiên sứ trình bày mặc khải này cho Giăng, tôi tớ Ngài.

Giăng đã trung tín tường thuật mọi điều ông đã chứng kiến. Đây là bản tường thuật về lời của Đức Chúa Trời và về lời chứng của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu.

Đây là thư của Giăng gửi cho bảy Hội Thánh xứ Tiểu Á. Cầu chúc anh chị em được ơn phước và bình an từ Đức Chúa Trời, là Đấng đã có, hiện có, và còn đời đời, từ Chúa Thánh Linh ở trước ngai Ngài

và từ Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. Ngài là nhân chứng thành tín, Đấng sống lại đầu tiên từ cõi chết, và có uy quyền trên tất cả vua chúa trên thế gian. Tất cả vinh quang thuộc về Chúa, Đấng đã yêu thương chúng ta, dùng máu Ngài tẩy sạch tội lỗi chúng ta.

Chúa đã làm cho chúng ta trở nên công dân Vương Quốc Chúa, làm thầy tế lễ của Đức Chúa Trời là Cha. Cầu xin vinh quang và uy quyền thuộc về Ngài mãi mãi vô tận! A-men. (aiōn g165)

Này! Ngài đến giữa áng mây Mọi mắt sẽ trông thấy Ngài— những người đã đâm Ngài cũng thấy. Mọi dân tộc trên thế giới sẽ khóc than vì Ngài. Thật đúng như lời! A-men!

Chúa là Đức Chúa Trời phán: “Ta là An-pha và Ô-mê-ga—là đầu tiên và cuối cùng. Ta là Đấng hiện có, đã có, và còn đời đời—là Đấng Toàn Năng.”

Tôi là Giăng, thân hữu của anh chị em, cùng chia sẻ hoạn nạn và dự phần trong Vương Quốc Đức Chúa Trời với anh chị em. Tôi ở tù trên đảo Bát-mô này, vì truyền giảng Đạo Đức Chúa Trời và làm chứng cho Chúa Giê-xu.

Nhằm ngày của Chúa, tôi được Thánh Linh cảm và nghe có tiếng gọi sau lưng vang dội như tiếng loa:

“Hãy ghi chép những điều con thấy và gửi cho bảy Hội Thánh tại Ê-phê-sô, Si-miệc-nơ, Bẹt-găm, Thi-a-ti-rơ, Sạt-đe, Phi-la-đen-phi, và Lao-đi-xê.”

Quay lại để xem ai vừa nói, tôi thấy bảy giá đèn bằng vàng.

Giữa các giá đèn có ai giống như Con Người, mặc áo dài, ngực thắt đai vàng.
14 the/this/who then head it/s/he and the/this/who hair white (as/when *N(k)O*) wool white as/when snow and the/this/who eye it/s/he as/when flame fire
Tóc Ngài trắng như lông chiên, như tuyết, mắt sáng như ngọn lửa,
15 and the/this/who foot it/s/he like bronze as/when in/on/among furnace/oven (to burn *N(k)O*) and the/this/who voice/sound: voice it/s/he as/when voice/sound: voice water much
chân như đồng sáng loáng trong lò, tiếng nói vang ầm như thác đổ.
16 and to have/be in/on/among the/this/who right hand it/s/he star seven and out from the/this/who mouth it/s/he sword double-edged sharp/swift to depart and the/this/who face it/s/he as/when the/this/who sun to shine/appear in/on/among the/this/who power it/s/he
Tay phải Ngài cầm bảy ngôi sao, miệng có thanh gươm hai lưỡi sắc bén, mặt sáng rực như mặt trời chói lọi giữa trưa.

Vừa thấy Chúa, tôi ngã xuống chân Ngài như chết. Nhưng Ngài đặt tay phải lên mình tôi, ôn tồn bảo: “Đừng sợ, Ta là Đầu Tiên và Cuối Cùng.

Vậy, hãy ghi chép những việc con vừa thấy và những việc sắp xảy ra.

Đây là ý nghĩa bảy ngôi sao trong tay phải Ta và bảy giá đèn bằng vàng: Bảy ngôi sao là bảy thiên sứ của bảy Hội Thánh, còn bảy giá đèn là bảy Hội Thánh.”
