< Psalms 82 >

1 melody to/for Asaph God to stand in/on/with congregation God in/on/with entrails: among God to judge
A Psalm by Asaph. God presides in the great assembly. He judges amongst the gods.
2 till how to judge injustice and face: kindness wicked to lift: kindness (Selah)
“How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?” (Selah)
3 to judge poor and orphan afflicted and be poor to justify
“Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
4 to escape poor and needy from hand: power wicked to rescue
Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”
5 not to know and not to understand in/on/with darkness to go: walk to shake all foundation land: country/planet
They don’t know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 I to say God you(m. p.) and son: descendant/people Most High all your
I said, “You are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High.
7 surely like/as man to die [emph?] and like/as one [the] ruler to fall: fall
Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.”
8 to arise: rise [emph?] God to judge [emph?] [the] land: country/planet for you(m. s.) to inherit in/on/with all [the] nation
Arise, God, judge the earth, for you inherit all of the nations.
