Salmo de David cuando huía de su hijo Absalón. Oh Yahvé, ¡cuán numerosos son mis perseguidores! ¡Cuántos se levantan contra mí!

Muchos son los que dicen de mi vida: “No hay para él salvación en Dios.”

Pero Tú, Yahvé, eres mi escudo, Tú mi gloria, Tú quien me hace erguir la cabeza.

Con mi voz invoco a Yahvé y Él me oye desde su santo monte.

Me acuesto y me duermo, y despierto incólume, porque Yahvé me sostiene.

No temo a los muchos millares de gentes que en derredor se ponen contra mí.

Levántate, Yahvé; sálvame, Dios mío, Tú que heriste en la mejilla a todos mis enemigos, y a los impíos les quebraste los dientes.

De Yahvé viene la salvación, ¡Que sea tu bendición sobre tu pueblo!
