Herre, hvad er et menneske, at du kjenner ham, et menneskebarn, at du akter på ham!

Et menneske er lik et åndepust, hans dager er som en skygge som farer forbi.

Herre, bøi din himmel og far ned, rør ved fjellene så de ryker!
