Meine Barmherzigkeit und Feste, meine Burg und mein Befreier mir, mein Schild und Der, auf Den ich mich verlasse, Der mein Volk mir unterworfen hat.

Jehovah, was ist der Mensch, daß Du ihn kennst, des Menschen Sohn, daß Du an ihn denkst?

Dem Hauche gleicht der Mensch: wie ein Schatten, der vorübergeht, sind seine Tage.

Jehovah, neige Deine Himmel, und fahre hernieder, rühre die Berge an, auf daß sie rauchen.

Blitze Deine Blitze, und zerstreue sie, sende Deine Pfeile, und verwirre sie.

Sende Deine Hand aus von der Höhe, befreie und errette mich aus vielen Wassern, aus der Hand der Söhne des Auslands,
