[For the Chief Musician. By David.] In Jehovah, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain."
2 for behold [the] wicked to tread [emph?] bow to establish: prepare arrow their upon cord to/for to shoot in/at/by darkness to/for upright heart
For, look, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3 for [the] foundation to overthrow [emph?] righteous what? to work
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4 LORD in/on/with temple holiness his LORD in/on/with heaven throne his eye his to see eyelid his to test son: child man
Jehovah is in his holy temple. Jehovah is on his throne in heaven. His eyes look upon the poor. His eyes examine the descendants of Adam.
5 LORD righteous to test and wicked and to love: lover violence to hate soul his
Jehovah examines the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence his soul hates.
6 to rain upon wicked snare fire and brimstone and spirit: breath scorching portion cup their
On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 for righteous LORD righteousness to love: lover upright to see face their
For Jehovah is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.
