A PRAYER OF THE AFFLICTED WHEN HE IS FEEBLE, AND POURS OUT HIS COMPLAINT BEFORE YHWH. O YHWH, hear my prayer, indeed, my cry comes to You.
2 not to hide face your from me in/on/with day to distress to/for me to stretch to(wards) me ear your in/on/with day to call: call to to hasten to answer me
Do not hide Your face from me, In a day of my adversity, Incline Your ear to me, In the day I call, hurry, answer me.
3 for to end: expend in/on/with smoke day my and bone my like burning to scorch
For my days have been consumed in smoke, And my bones have burned as a firebrand.
4 to smite like/as vegetation and to wither heart my for to forget from to eat food: bread my
Struck as the herb, and withered, is my heart, For I have forgotten to eat my bread.
5 from voice: sound sighing my to cleave bone my to/for flesh my
From the voice of my sighing My bone has cleaved to my flesh.
6 to resemble to/for pelican wilderness to be like/as owl desolation
I have been like to a pelican of the wilderness, I have been as an owl of the dry places.
7 to watch and to be like/as bird be alone upon roof
I have watched, and I am As a bird alone on the roof.
8 all [the] day to taunt me enemy my to boast: rave madly me in/on/with me to swear
All the day my enemies reproached me, Those mad at me have sworn against me.
9 for ashes like/as food: bread to eat and drink my in/on/with weeping to mix
Because I have eaten ashes as bread, And have mingled my drink with weeping,
10 from face: because indignation your and wrath your for to lift: raise me and to throw me
From Your indignation and Your wrath, For You have lifted me up, And cast me down.
11 day my like/as shadow to stretch and I like/as vegetation to wither
My days [are] stretched out as a shadow, And I am withered as the herb.
12 and you(m. s.) LORD to/for forever: enduring to dwell and memorial your to/for generation and generation
And You, O YHWH, abide for all time, And Your memorial from generation to generation.
13 you(m. s.) to arise: rise to have compassion Zion for time to/for be gracious her for to come (in): come meeting: time appointed
You rise—You pity Zion, For the time to favor her, For the appointed time has come.
14 for to accept servant/slave your [obj] stone her and [obj] dust her be gracious
For Your servants have been pleased with her stones, And they favor her dust.
15 and to fear: revere nation [obj] name LORD and all king [the] land: country/planet [obj] glory your
And nations fear the Name of YHWH, And all kings of the earth Your glory,
16 for to build LORD Zion to see: see in/on/with glory his
For YHWH has built Zion, He has been seen in His glory,
17 to turn to(wards) prayer [the] destitute and not to despise [obj] prayer their
He turned to the prayer of the destitute, And He has not despised their prayer.
18 to write this to/for generation last and people to create to boast: praise LORD
This is written for a later generation, And the people created praise YAH.
19 for to look from height holiness his LORD from heaven to(wards) land: country/planet to look
For He has looked From the high place of His sanctuary. YHWH looked attentively from the heavens to earth,
20 to/for to hear: hear groaning prisoner to/for to open son: descendant/people death
To hear the groan of the prisoner, To loose sons of death,
21 to/for to recount in/on/with Zion name LORD and praise his in/on/with Jerusalem
To declare in Zion the Name of YHWH, And His praise in Jerusalem,
22 in/on/with to gather people together and kingdom to/for to serve: minister [obj] LORD
In the peoples being gathered together, And the kingdoms—to serve YHWH.
23 to afflict in/on/with way: journey (strength my *Q(K)*) be short day my
He has humbled my power in the way, He has shortened my days.
24 to say God my not to ascend: establish me in/on/with half day my in/on/with generation generation year your
I say, “My God, do not take me up in the midst of my days,” Your years [are] through all generations.
25 to/for face: before [the] land: country/planet to found and deed: work hand your heaven
You founded the earth before time, And the heavens [are] the work of Your hands.
26 they(masc.) to perish and you(m. s.) to stand: stand and all their like/as garment to become old like/as clothing to pass them and to pass
They perish, and You remain, And all of them become old as a garment, You change them as clothing, And they are changed.
27 and you(m. s.) he/she/it and year your not to finish
And You [are] the same, and Your years are not finished.
28 son: child servant/slave your to dwell and seed: children their to/for face: before your to establish: establish
The sons of Your servants continue, And their seed is established before You!
