< Proverbs 9 >

1 wisdom to build house: home her to hew pillar her seven
Wisdom has built a house for herself. She has hewn seven columns.
2 to slaughter slaughter her to mix wine her also to arrange table her
She has immolated her victims. She has mixed her wine and set forth her table.
3 to send: depart maiden her to call: call out upon single/height height town
She has sent her maids to call out to the tower and to the fortified walls of the city,
4 who? simple to turn aside: depart here/thus lacking heart to say to/for him
“If anyone is little, let him come to me.” And to the unwise, she has said:
5 to go: come! to feed on in/on/with food: bread my and to drink in/on/with wine to mix
“Approach. Eat my bread, and drink the wine that I have mixed for you.
6 to leave: forsake simple and to live and to bless in/on/with way: conduct understanding
Leave behind childishness. And live and walk by the ways of prudence.”
7 to discipline to mock to take: recieve to/for him dishonor and to rebuke to/for wicked blemish his
Whoever teaches a mocker causes injury to himself. And whoever argues with the impious produces a blemish on himself.
8 not to rebuke to mock lest to hate you to rebuke to/for wise and to love: lover you
Do not be willing to argue with a mocker, lest he hate you. Dispute with the wise, and he will love you.
9 to give: give to/for wise and be wise still to know to/for righteous and to add teaching
Present an opportunity to the wise, and wisdom shall be added to him. Teach the just, and he will hurry to receive it.
10 beginning wisdom fear LORD and knowledge holy understanding
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of holiness is prudence.
11 for in/on/with me to multiply day your and to add to/for you year life
For by me, your days will be multiplied and years of life will be added to you.
12 if be wise be wise to/for you and to mock to/for alone you to lift: bear
If you would be wise, you will be so for yourself. But if you would be one who ridicules, you alone shall carry the evil.
13 woman stupidity to roar naivite and not to know what?
A foolish and loud woman, who is full of enticements and who knows nothing at all,
14 and to dwell to/for entrance house: home her upon throne: seat height town
sat at the entrance of her house on a seat, in a high place of the city,
15 to/for to call: call to to/for to pass way: journey [the] to smooth way their
so as to call to those who were passing by the way and continuing on their journey:
16 who? simple to turn aside: depart here/thus and lacking heart and to say to/for him
“Whoever is little, let him turn aside to me.” And to the frenzied, she said,
17 water to steal be sweet and food: bread secrecy be pleasant
“Stolen waters are more soothing, and secret bread is more pleasant.”
18 and not to know for shade there in/on/with unfathomable hell: Sheol to call: call to her (Sheol h7585)
And he did not know that giants are there, and that her companions are in the depths of Hell. (Sheol h7585)
