১আমার পুত্ররা, বাবার উপদেশ শোন, সুবিবেচনা বোঝবার জন্য মনোযোগ কর।

২আমি তোমাদেরকে সুশিক্ষা দেব; তোমরা আমার শিক্ষা ত্যাগ কোরো না।

৩কারণ আমিও নিজে আমার বাবার ছেলে ছিলাম, মায়ের চোখে শান্ত ও একমাত্র সন্তান ছিলাম।

৬প্রজ্ঞাকে ছেড়ো না, সে তোমাকে রক্ষা করবে; তাকে প্রেম কর, সে তোমাকে নিরাপদে রাখবে।

৭প্রজ্ঞাই প্রধান বিষয়, তুমি প্রজ্ঞা উপার্জন কর; সব খরচ দিয়ে সুবিবেচনা পেতে পারো।

৮তাকে যত্ন কর, সে তোমাকে উন্নত করবে, যখন তাকে গ্রহণ কর, সে তোমাকে সম্মান দেবে।

৯সে তোমার মাথায় বিজয়ের মালা দেবে, সে একটি সুন্দর মুকুট তোমাকে দান করবে।

১০আমার পুত্র, শোনো, আমার কথায় মনোযোগ দাও, তাতে তোমার জীবনের আয়ু বৃদ্ধি হবে।

১১আমি তোমাকে প্রজ্ঞার পথ দেখিয়েছি, তোমাকে সরল পথে চালিয়েছি।

১২তোমার চলার দিন বাধা পাবে না এবং যদি তুমি দৌড়াও, তোমার হোঁচট লাগবে না।
