Proverbs 27
1 not to boast: boast in/on/with day tomorrow for not to know what? to beget day
| درباره فردای خود با غرور صحبت نکن، زیرا نمی‌دانی چه پیش خواهد آمد. |
2 to boast: praise you be a stranger and not lip your foreign and not lips your
| هرگز از خودت تعریف نکن؛ بگذار دیگران از تو تعریف کنند. |
3 heaviness stone and weight [the] sand and vexation fool(ish) heavy from two their
| حمل بار سنگ و ماسه سخت است، اما تحمل ناراحتیهایی که شخص نادان ایجاد می‌کند، از آن هم سختتر است. |
4 cruel rage and flood face: anger and who? to stand: stand to/for face: before jealousy
| حسادت خطرناک‌تر و بی‌رحمتر از خشم و غضب است. |
5 pleasant argument to reveal: uncover from love to hide
| سرزنش آشکار از محبت پنهان بهتر است. |
6 be faithful wound to love: friend and be abundant kiss to hate
| زخم دوست بهتر از بوسهٔ دشمن است. |
7 soul: person sated to trample honey and soul: person hungry all bitter sweet
| شکم سیر حتی از عسل کراهت دارد، اما برای شکم گرسنه هر چیز تلخی شیرین است. |
8 like/as bird to wander from nest her so man to wander from place his
| کسی که از خانه‌اش دور می‌شود همچون پرنده‌ای است که از آشیانه‌اش آواره شده باشد. |

| مشورت صمیمانهٔ یک دوست همچون عطری خوشبو، دلپذیر است. |

| دوست خود و دوست پدرت را هرگز ترک نکن، و وقتی در تنگی هستی سراغ برادرت نرو؛ همسایهٔ نزدیک بهتر از برادر دور می‌تواند به تو کمک کند. |
11 be wise son: child my and to rejoice heart my and to return: reply to taunt me word
| پسرم، حکمت بیاموز و دل مرا شاد کن تا بتوانم جواب کسانی را که مرا سرزنش می‌کنند، بدهم. |
12 prudent to see: see distress: harm to hide simple to pass to fine
| عاقل خطر را پیش‌بینی می‌کند و از آن اجتناب می‌نماید، ولی جاهل به سوی آن می‌رود و خود را گرفتار می‌کند. |

| از کسی که نزد تو ضامن شخص غریبی می‌شود، گرو بگیر. |

| اگر صبح زود با صدای بلند برای دوستت دعای خیر کرده، او را از خواب بیدار کنی، دعای تو همچون لعنت خواهد بود. |

| غرغرهای زن بهانه‌گیر مثل چک‌چک آب در روز بارانی است؛ |

| همان‌طور که نمی‌توان از وزیدن باد جلوگیری کرد، و یا با دستهای چرب چیزی را نگه داشت، همان‌طور هم محال است بتوان از غرغر چنین زنی جلوگیری کرد. |

| همان‌طور که آهن، آهن را می‌تراشد، دوست نیز شخصیت دوستش را اصلاح می‌کند. |
18 to watch fig to eat fruit her and to keep: guard lord his to honor: honour
| هر که درختی بپروراند از میوه‌اش نیز خواهد خورد و هر که به اربابش خدمت کند پاداش خواهد گرفت. |
19 like/as water [the] face to/for face so heart [the] man to/for man
| همان‌طور که انسان در آب، صورت خود را می‌بیند، در وجود دیگران نیز وجود خویش را مشاهده می‌کند. |

| همان‌طور که دنیای مردگان از بلعیدن زندگان سیر نمی‌شود، خواسته‌های انسان نیز هرگز ارضا نمی‌گردد. (Sheol h7585) |

| طلا و نقره را به‌وسیلۀ آتش می‌آزمایند، ولی انسان را از عکس‌العملش در برابر تعریف و تمجید دیگران می‌توان شناخت. |

| اگر احمق را در داخل هاون هم بکوبی حماقتش از او جدا نمی‌شود. |

| مال و دارایی زود از بین می‌رود و تاج و تخت پادشاه تا ابد برای نسل او باقی نمی‌ماند. پس تو با دقت از گله و رمه‌ات مواظبت کن، |

| زیرا وقتی علوفه چیده شود و محصول جدید به بار آید و علف کوهستان جمع‌آوری شود، |
26 lamb to/for clothing your and price land: country goat
| آنگاه از پشم گوسفندانت لباس تهیه خواهی کرد، از فروش بزهایت زمین خواهی خرید |
27 and sufficiency milk goat to/for food your to/for food house: household your and life to/for maiden your
| و از شیر بقیهٔ بزها تو و خانواده و کنیزانت سیر خواهید شد. |
