Proverbs 20
1 to mock [the] wine to roar strong drink and all to wander in/on/with him not be wise
| اَلْخَمْرُ مُسْتَهْزِئَةٌ. ٱلْمُسْكِرُ عَجَّاجٌ، وَمَنْ يَتَرَنَّحُ بِهِمَا فَلَيْسَ بِحَكِيمٍ. | ١ |
2 roaring like/as lion terror king be angry him to sin soul: life his
| رُعْبُ ٱلْمَلِكِ كَزَمْجَرَةِ ٱلْأَسَدِ. ٱلَّذِي يُغِيظُهُ يُخْطِئُ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ. | ٢ |
3 glory to/for man cessation from strife and all fool(ish) to quarrel
| مَجْدُ ٱلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَبْتَعِدَ عَنِ ٱلْخِصَامِ، وَكُلُّ أَحْمَقَ يُنَازِعُ. | ٣ |
4 from autumn sluggish not to plow/plot (and to ask *Q(K)*) in/on/with harvest and nothing
| اَلْكَسْلَانُ لَا يَحْرُثُ بِسَبَبِ ٱلشِّتَاءِ، فَيَسْتَعْطِي فِي ٱلْحَصَادِ وَلَا يُعْطَى. | ٤ |
5 water deep counsel in/on/with heart man and man understanding to draw (up/out) her
| اَلْمَشُورَةُ فِي قَلْبِ ٱلرَّجُلِ مِيَاهٌ عَمِيقَةٌ، وَذُو ٱلْفِطْنَةِ يَسْتَقِيهَا. | ٥ |
6 abundance man to call: call out man: anyone kindness his and man faithful who? to find
| أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ يُنَادُونَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ بِصَلَاحِهِ، أَمَّا ٱلرَّجُلُ ٱلْأَمِينُ فَمَنْ يَجِدُهُ؟ | ٦ |
7 to go: walk in/on/with integrity his righteous blessed son: child his after him
| اَلصِّدِّيقُ يَسْلُكُ بِكَمَالِهِ. طُوبَى لِبَنِيهِ بَعْدَهُ. | ٧ |
8 king to dwell upon throne judgment to scatter in/on/with eye his all bad: evil
| اَلْمَلِكُ ٱلْجَالِسُ عَلَى كُرْسِيِّ ٱلْقَضَاءِ يُذَرِّي بِعَيْنِهِ كُلَّ شَرٍّ. | ٨ |
9 who? to say to clean heart my be pure from sin my
| مَنْ يَقُولُ: «إِنِّي زَكَّيْتُ قَلْبِي، تَطَهَّرْتُ مِنْ خَطِيَّتِي»؟ | ٩ |
10 stone: weight and stone: weight ephah and ephah abomination LORD also two their
| مِعْيَارٌ فَمِعْيَارٌ، مِكْيَالٌ فَمِكْيَالٌ، كِلَاهُمَا مَكْرَهَةٌ عِنْدَ ٱلرَّبِّ. | ١٠ |
11 also in/on/with deed his to recognize youth if pure and if upright work his
| اَلْوَلَدُ أَيْضًا يُعْرَفُ بِأَفْعَالِهِ، هَلْ عَمَلُهُ نَقِيٌّ وَمُسْتَقِيمٌ؟ | ١١ |
12 ear to hear: hear and eye to see: see LORD to make also two their
| اَلْأُذُنُ ٱلسَّامِعَةُ وَٱلْعَيْنُ ٱلْبَاصِرَةُ، ٱلرَّبُّ صَنَعَهُمَا كِلْتَيْهِمَا. | ١٢ |
13 not to love: lover sleep lest to possess: poor to open eye your to satisfy food: bread
| لَا تُحِبَّ ٱلنَّوْمَ لِئَلَّا تَفْتَقِرَ. ٱفْتَحْ عَيْنَيْكَ تَشْبَعْ خُبْزًا. | ١٣ |
14 bad: harmful bad: harmful to say [the] to buy and be gone to/for him then to boast: boast
| «رَدِيءٌ، رَدِيءٌ!» يَقُولُ ٱلْمُشْتَرِي، وَإِذَا ذَهَبَ فَحِينَئِذٍ يَفْتَخِرُ! | ١٤ |
15 there gold and abundance jewel and article/utensil preciousness lips knowledge
| يُوجَدُ ذَهَبٌ وَكَثْرَةُ لَآلِئَ، أَمَّا شِفَاهُ ٱلْمَعْرِفَةِ فَمَتَاعٌ ثَمِينٌ. | ١٥ |
16 to take: take garment his for to pledge be a stranger and about/through/for (foreign *Q(K)*) to pledge him
| خُذْ ثَوْبَهُ لِأَنَّهُ ضَمِنَ غَرِيبًا، وَلِأَجْلِ ٱلْأَجَانِبِ ٱرْتَهِنْ مِنْهُ. | ١٦ |
17 sweet to/for man food: bread deception and after to fill lip his gravel
| خُبْزُ ٱلْكَذِبِ لَذِيذٌ لِلْإِنْسَانِ، وَمِنْ بَعْدُ يَمْتَلِئُ فَمُهُ حَصًى. | ١٧ |
18 plot in/on/with counsel to establish: establish and in/on/with counsel to make battle
| اَلْمَقَاصِدُ تُثَبَّتُ بِٱلْمَشُورَةِ، وَبِالتَّدَابِيرِ ٱعْمَلْ حَرْبًا. | ١٨ |
19 to reveal: reveal counsel to go: went slander and to/for to open wide lip: words his not to pledge
| اَلسَّاعِي بِٱلْوِشَايَةِ يُفْشِي ٱلسِّرَّ، فَلَا تُخَالِطِ ٱلْمُفَتِّحَ شَفَتَيْهِ. | ١٩ |
20 to lighten father his and mother his to put out lamp his (in/on/with pupil *Q(K)*) darkness
| مَنْ سَبَّ أَبَاهُ أَوْ أُمَّهُ يَنْطَفِئُ سِرَاجُهُ فِي حَدَقَةِ ٱلظَّلَامِ. | ٢٠ |
21 inheritance (to dismay *Q(K)*) in/on/with first and end her not to bless
| رُبَّ مُلْكٍ مُعَجِّلٍ فِي أَوَّلِهِ، أَمَّا آخِرَتُهُ فَلَا تُبَارَكُ. | ٢١ |
22 not to say to complete bad: evil to await to/for LORD and to save to/for you
| لَا تَقُلْ: «إِنِّي أُجَازِي شَرًّا». ٱنْتَظِرِ ٱلرَّبَّ فَيُخَلِّصَكَ. | ٢٢ |
23 abomination LORD stone: weight and stone: weight and balance deceit not pleasant
| مِعْيَارٌ فَمِعْيَارٌ مَكْرَهَةُ ٱلرَّبِّ، وَمَوَازِينُ ٱلْغِشِّ غَيْرُ صَالِحَةٍ. | ٢٣ |
24 from LORD step great man and man what? to understand way: conduct his
| مِنَ ٱلرَّبِّ خَطَوَاتُ ٱلرَّجُلِ، أَمَّا ٱلْإِنْسَانُ فَكَيْفَ يَفْهَمُ طَرِيقَهُ؟ | ٢٤ |
25 snare man to blurt holiness and after vow to/for to enquire
| هُوَ شَرَكٌ لِلْإِنْسَانِ أَنْ يَلْغُوَ قَائِلًا: «مُقَدَّسٌ»، وَبَعْدَ ٱلنَّذْرِ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ! | ٢٥ |
26 to scatter wicked king wise and to return: return upon them wheel
| اَلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ يُشَتِّتُ ٱلْأَشْرَارَ، وَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمِ ٱلنَّوْرَجَ. | ٢٦ |
27 lamp LORD breath man to search all chamber belly: abdomen
| نَفْسُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ سِرَاجُ ٱلرَّبِّ، يُفَتِّشُ كُلَّ مَخَادِعِ ٱلْبَطْنِ. | ٢٧ |
28 kindness and truth: faithful to watch king and to support in/on/with kindness throne his
| ٱلرَّحْمَةُ وَٱلْحَقُّ يَحْفَظَانِ ٱلْمَلِكَ، وَكُرْسِيُّهُ يُسْنَدُ بِٱلرَّحْمَةِ. | ٢٨ |
29 beauty youth strength their and glory old greyheaded
| فَخْرُ ٱلشُّبَّانِ قُوَّتُهُمْ، وَبَهَاءُ ٱلشُّيُوخِ ٱلشَّيْبُ. | ٢٩ |
30 wound wound (cosmetic *Q(K)*) in/on/with bad: evil and wound chamber belly: abdomen
| حُبُرُ جُرْحٍ مُنَقِّيَةٌ لِلشِّرِّيرِ، وَضَرَبَاتٌ بَالِغَةٌ مَخَادِعَ ٱلْبَطْنِ. | ٣٠ |
