Proverbs 18
1 to/for desire to seek to separate in/on/with all wisdom to quarrel
| آدم خودخواه خود را از دیگران کنار می‌کشد و با عقاید درستشان مخالفت می‌ورزد. |
2 not to delight in fool in/on/with understanding that if: except if: except in/on/with to reveal: reveal heart his
| نادان برای حکمت ارزش قائل نیست و فقط دوست دارد خود را دانا نشان دهد. |
3 in/on/with to come (in): come wicked to come (in): come also contempt and with dishonor reproach
| گناه ننگ و رسوایی به بار می‌آورد. |
4 water deep word lip man torrent: river to bubble fountain wisdom
| سخنان شخص دانا مانند اقیانوس عمیق است و مثل چشمه گوارا. |
5 to lift: kindness face: kindness wicked not pleasant to/for to stretch righteous in/on/with justice
| طرفداری از مجرمی که باعث می‌شود حق بی‌گناه پایمال شود کار نادرستی است. |
6 lips fool to come (in): come in/on/with strife and lip his to/for blow to call: call to
| سخنان شخص نادان، منجر به نزاع و کتک خوردنش می‌شود. |
7 lip fool terror to/for him and lips his snare soul his
| زبان شخص نادان چون دامی است که او را به هلاکت می‌کشاند. |
8 word to grumble like/as to swallow and they(masc.) to go down chamber belly: body
| سخنان آدم سخن‌چین مانند لقمه‌های لذیذی است که با لذت بلعیده می‌شود. |
9 also to slacken in/on/with work his brother: male-sibling he/she/it to/for master: [master of] destruction
| کسی که در کار سستی می‌کند به اندازهٔ یک خرابکار مخرب است. |
10 tower strength name LORD in/on/with him to run: run righteous and to exalt
| اسم خداوند قلعه‌ای است محکم که شخص درستکار به آن پناه می‌برد و در امان می‌ماند. |
11 substance rich town strength his and like/as wall to exalt in/on/with figure his
| اما قلعۀ شخص ثروتمند، ثروت اوست که گمان می‌کند او را محافظت خواهد کرد. |
12 to/for face: before breaking to exult heart man and to/for face: before glory humility
| تکبر به سقوط می‌انجامد و فروتنی به سربلندی. |
13 to return: reply word: speaking in/on/with before to hear: hear folly he/she/it to/for him and shame
| چقدر زشت و ابلهانه است که انسان قبل از گوش دادن به سخنی، به آن جواب دهد. |
14 spirit man to sustain sickness his and spirit stricken who? to lift: bear her
| وقتی انسان روحیه‌اش قوی است بیماری را تحمل می‌کند، اما روحیهٔ شکسته را چه کسی می‌تواند تحمل کند؟ |
15 heart to understand to buy knowledge and ear wise to seek knowledge
| اشخاص دانا همیشه مشتاق و آماده کسب حکمتند. |
16 gift man to enlarge to/for him and to/for face: before great: large to lead him
| هدیه دادن راه را برای انسان باز می‌کند و او را به حضور اشخاص مهم می‌رساند. |
17 righteous [the] first in/on/with strife his (and to come (in): come *Q(K)*) neighbor his and to search him
| دلایل کسی که در دادگاه اول صحبت می‌کند به نظر درست می‌آید ولی این تا زمانی است که طرف مقابل هنوز دلایلش را ارائه نداده باشد. |
18 contention to cease [the] allotted and between mighty to separate
| قرعه، دعوا را می‌خواباند و به منازعهٔ بین حریفان زورمند خاتمه می‌دهد. |
19 brother: male-sibling to transgress from town strength (and contention *Q(K)*) like/as bar citadel: fortress
| به دست آوردن دل برادر رنجیده، سختتر از تصرف یک شهر حصاردار است. منازعه بین دو برادر، دیوار جدایی ایجاد می‌کند. |
20 from fruit lip man to satisfy belly: abdomen his produce lips his to satisfy
| انسان نتیجهٔ سخنانی را که از دهانش بیرون می‌آید خواهد دید. |
21 death and life in/on/with hand: power tongue and to love: lover her to eat fruit her
| مرگ و زندگی در قدرت زبان است؛ کسانی که دوست می‌دارند حرف بزنند، عواقب سخنانشان را خواهند دید. |
22 to find woman: wife to find good and to promote acceptance from LORD
| وقتی مردی همسری پیدا می‌کند نعمتی می‌یابد. آن زن برای او برکتی است از جانب خداوند. |
23 supplication to speak: speak be poor and rich to answer strong
| درخواست فقرا با التماس توأم است و پاسخ ثروتمندان با خشونت. |
24 man neighbor to/for to shatter and there to love: friend cleaving from brother: male-sibling
| هستند دوستانی که انسان را به نابودی می‌کشند، اما دوستی هم هست که از برادر نزدیکتر است. |
