रूबेन र गादका सन्तानहरूका गाईवस्तुहरू धेरै थिए । जब तिनीहरूले याजेर र गिलादको भूमी देखे, त्यो भूमी गाईवस्तुहरूको निम्ति असाध्यै राम्रो थियो ।

हेर, तिमीहरू आफ्ना बुबाहरूको स्थानमा अझ धेरै पापी मानिसहरूझैँ इस्राएलको विरुद्धमा परमप्रभुको क्रोध उराल्न खडा भएका छौ ।
