Numbers 25

1 and to dwell Israel in/on/with Shittim and to profane/begin: begin [the] people to/for to fornicate to(wards) daughter Moab

١ وَأَقَامَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيُّونَ فِي شِطِّيمَ، فَشَرَعَ الرِّجَالُ يَرْتَكِبُونَ الزِّنَى مَعَ الْمُوآبِيَّاتِ

2 and to call: call to to/for people to/for sacrifice God their and to eat [the] people and to bow to/for God their

٢ اللَّوَاتِي أَغْوَيْنَ الشَّعْبَ لِحُضُورِ ذَبَائِحِ آلِهَتِهِنَّ وَالأَكْلِ مِنْهَا وَالسُّجُودِ لَهَا.

3 and to join Israel to/for Baal of Peor Baal of Peor and to be incensed face: anger LORD in/on/with Israel

٣ فَاشْتَرَكَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيُّونَ فِي عِبَادَةِ بَعْلِ فَغُورَ. فَاحْتَدَمَ غَضَبُ الرَّبِّ عَلَيْهِمْ.

٤ فَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى: «خُذْ جَمِيعَ قَادَةِ عَبَدَةِ الْبَعْلِ وَاصْلِبْهُمْ، وَعَلِّقْهُمْ تَحْتَ وَطْأَةِ حَرَارَةِ الشَّمْسِ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ، فَتَرْتَدَّ شِدَّةُ غَضَبِهِ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ».

٥ فَقَالَ مُوسَى لِقُضَاةِ إِسْرَائِيلَ: «اقْتُلُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ قَوْمِكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَعَلِّقِينَ بِعِبَادَةِ بَعْلِ فَغُورَ».

٦ وَإِذْ كَانَ مُوسَى وَسَائِرُ جَمَاعَةِ إِسْرَائِيلَ يَبْكُونَ عِنْدَ مَدْخَلِ خَيْمَةِ الاجْتِمَاعِ، أَقْبَلَ إِسْرَائِيلِيٌّ وَقَدَّمَ إِلَى إِخْوَتِهِ امْرَأَةً مِدْيَانِيَّةً عَلَى مَرْأَى مِنْهُمْ.

٧ فَلَمَّا رَأَى فِينْحَاسُ بْنُ أَلِعَازَارَ بْنِ هَرُونَ ذَلِكَ، هَبَّ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْجَمَاعَةِ، وَتَنَاوَلَ رُمْحاً بِيَدِهِ،

8 and to come (in): come after man Israel to(wards) [the] tent and to pierce [obj] two their [obj] man Israel and [obj] [the] woman to(wards) belly her and to restrain [the] plague from upon son: descendant/people Israel

٨ وَتَبِعَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيَّ إِلَى الْخَيْمَةِ حَيْثُ طَعَنَهُمَا. فَاخْتَرَقَ الرُّمْحُ الرَّجُلَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيَّ وَبَطْنَ الْمَرأَةِ، فَكَفَّ الْوَبَأُ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ.

٩ وَكَانَ عَدَدُ الَّذِينَ مَاتُوا بِالْوَبَإِ أَرْبَعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ أَلْفاً.

١٠ فَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى:

١١ «إِنَّ فِينْحَاسَ بْنَ أَلِعَازَارَ بْنِ هَرُونَ الْكَاهِنِ قَدْ رَدَّ غَضَبِي عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، إِذْ غَارَ غَيْرَتِي فِي وَسَطِهِمْ، فَلَمْ أَفْنِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِغَيْرَتِي.

12 to/for so to say look! I to give: give to/for him [obj] covenant my peace

١٢ لِذَلِكَ قُلْ لَهُ: هَأَنَذَا أَقْطَعُ مَعَهُ مِيثَاقَ سَلامٍ،

١٣ فَيَكُونُ لَهُ وَلِنَسْلِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِيثَاقَ كَهَنُوتٍ أَبَدِيٍّ، لأَنَّهُ غَارَ للهِ وَكَفَّرَ عَنِ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ».

١٥ أَمَّا الْمَرْأَةُ الْمِدْيَانِيَّةُ الْمَقْتُولَةُ فَكَانَ اسْمُهَا كُزْبِيَ بِنْتَ صُورٍ الَّذِي كَانَ رَئِيسَ قَبِيلَةٍ مِنْ قَبَائِلِ مِدْيَانَ.

١٧ «أَسِيئُوا مُعَامَلَةَ الْمِدْيَانِيِّينَ وَأَهْلِكُوهُمْ،

18 for to vex they(masc.) to/for you in/on/with trick their which to plot to/for you upon word: thing Peor and upon word: thing Cozbi daughter leader Midian sister their [the] to smite in/on/with day [the] plague upon word: thing Peor

١٨ لأَنَّهُمْ ضَايَقُوكُمْ بِمَكَايِدِهِمِ الَّتِي احْتَالُوا بِها عَلَيْكُمْ بِشَأْنِ فَغُورَ، وَأُخْتِهِمْ كُزْبِي ابْنَةِ رَئِيسٍ لِمِدْيَانَ، الَّتِي قُتِلَتْ عِنْدَمَا تَفَشَّى الْوَبَأُ بِسَبَبِ عِبَادَةِ فَغُورَ».
