Numbers 25

1 and to dwell Israel in/on/with Shittim and to profane/begin: begin [the] people to/for to fornicate to(wards) daughter Moab

١ وَأَقَامَ إِسْرَائِيلُ فِي شِطِّيمَ، وَٱبْتَدَأَ ٱلشَّعْبُ يَزْنُونَ مَعَ بَنَاتِ مُوآبَ.

2 and to call: call to to/for people to/for sacrifice God their and to eat [the] people and to bow to/for God their

٢ فَدَعَوْنَ ٱلشَّعْبَ إِلَى ذَبَائِحِ آلِهَتِهِنَّ، فَأَكَلَ ٱلشَّعْبُ وَسَجَدُوا لِآلِهَتِهِنَّ.

3 and to join Israel to/for Baal of Peor Baal of Peor and to be incensed face: anger LORD in/on/with Israel

٣ وَتَعَلَّقَ إِسْرَائِيلُ بِبَعْلِ فَغُورَ. فَحَمِيَ غَضَبُ ٱلرَّبِّ عَلَى إِسْرَائِيلَ.

٤ فَقَالَ ٱلرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى: «خُذْ جَمِيعَ رُؤُوسِ ٱلشَّعْبِ وَعَلِّقْهُمْ لِلرَّبِّ مُقَابِلَ ٱلشَّمْسِ، فَيَرْتَدَّ حُمُوُّ غَضَبِ ٱلرَّبِّ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ».

٥ فَقَالَ مُوسَى لِقُضَاةِ إِسْرَائِيلَ: «ٱقْتُلُوا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ قَوْمَهُ ٱلْمُتَعَلِّقِينَ بِبَعْلِ فَغُورَ».

٦ وَإِذَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ جَاءَ وَقَدَّمَ إِلَى إِخْوَتِهِ ٱلْمِدْيَانِيَّةَ، أَمَامَ عَيْنَيْ مُوسَى وَأَعْيُنِ كُلِّ جَمَاعَةِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَهُمْ بَاكُونَ لَدَى بَابِ خَيْمَةِ ٱلِٱجْتِمَاعِ.

٧ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ فِينْحَاسُ بْنُ أَلِعَازَارَ بْنِ هَارُونَ ٱلْكَاهِنِ، قَامَ مِنْ وَسَطِ ٱلْجَمَاعَةِ وَأَخَذَ رُمْحًا بِيَدِهِ،

8 and to come (in): come after man Israel to(wards) [the] tent and to pierce [obj] two their [obj] man Israel and [obj] [the] woman to(wards) belly her and to restrain [the] plague from upon son: descendant/people Israel

٨ وَدَخَلَ وَرَاءَ ٱلرَّجُلِ ٱلْإِسْرَائِيلِيِّ إِلَى ٱلْقُبَّةِ وَطَعَنَ كِلَيْهِمَا، ٱلرَّجُلَ ٱلْإِسْرَائِيلِيَّ وَٱلْمَرْأَةَ فِي بَطْنِهَا. فَٱمْتَنَعَ ٱلْوَبَأُ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ.

٩ وَكَانَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَاتُوا بِٱلْوَبَإِ أَرْبَعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ أَلْفًا.

١٠ فَكَلَّمَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى قَائِلًا:

١١ «فِينْحَاسُ بْنُ أَلِعَازَارَ بْنِ هَارُونَ ٱلْكَاهِنِ قَدْ رَدَّ سَخَطِي عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِكَوْنِهِ غَارَ غَيْرَتِي فِي وَسَطِهِمْ حَتَّى لَمْ أُفْنِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِغَيْرَتِي.

12 to/for so to say look! I to give: give to/for him [obj] covenant my peace

١٢ لِذَلِكَ قُلْ: هَأَنَذَا أُعْطِيهِ مِيثَاقِي مِيثَاقَ ٱلسَّلَامِ،

١٣ فَيَكُونُ لَهُ وَلِنَسْلِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِيثَاقَ كَهَنُوتٍ أَبَدِيٍّ، لِأَجْلِ أَنَّهُ غَارَ لِلهِ وَكَفَّرَ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ».

١٤ وَكَانَ ٱسْمُ ٱلرَّجُلِ ٱلْإِسْرَائِيلِيِّ ٱلْمَقْتُولِ ٱلَّذِي قُتِلَ مَعَ ٱلْمِدْيَانِيَّةِ، زِمْرِيَ بْنَ سَالُو، رَئِيسَ بَيْتِ أَبٍ مِنَ ٱلشِّمْعُونِيِّينَ.

١٧ «ضَايِقُوا ٱلْمِدْيَانِيِّينَ وَٱضْرِبُوهُمْ،

18 for to vex they(masc.) to/for you in/on/with trick their which to plot to/for you upon word: thing Peor and upon word: thing Cozbi daughter leader Midian sister their [the] to smite in/on/with day [the] plague upon word: thing Peor

١٨ لِأَنَّهُمْ ضَايَقُوكُمْ بِمَكَايِدِهِمِ ٱلَّتِي كَادُوكُمْ بِهَا فِي أَمْرِ فَغُورَ وَأَمْرِ كُزْبِي أُخْتِهِمْ بِنْتِ رَئِيسٍ لِمِدْيَانَ، ٱلَّتِي قُتِلَتْ يَوْمَ ٱلْوَبَإِ بِسَبَبِ فَغُورَ».
