Numbers 22

इसके बाद इस्राएली यात्रा करते हुए मोआब के मैदानों में आ पहुंचे, जो यरदन पार येरीख़ो के सामने है, यहां उन्होंने डेरा डाल दिया.
2 and to see: see Balak son: child Zippor [obj] all which to make: do Israel to/for Amorite
ज़ीप्पोर के पुत्र बालाक की जानकारी में वह सब था, जो इस्राएल द्वारा अमोरियों के साथ किया गया था.
3 and to dread Moab from face: because [the] people much for many he/she/it and to loathe Moab from face: because son: descendant/people Israel
तब मोआब देश इस्राएलियों की विशाल संख्या के कारण बहुत ही डर गया, इस्राएल मोआब के लिए आतंक का विषय हो गया.
4 and to say Moab to(wards) old: elder Midian now to lick [the] assembly [obj] all around us like/as to lick [the] cattle [obj] green [the] land: country and Balak son: child Zippor king to/for Moab in/on/with time [the] he/she/it
मोआब ने मिदियान के प्राचीनों के सामने अपने विचार इस प्रकार रखे, “अब तो यह विशाल जनसमूह हमारे आस-पास की वस्तुओं को इस प्रकार चट कर जाएगा, जिस प्रकार बैल मैदान के घास को चट कर जाता है.” इस अवसर पर ज़ीप्पोर का पुत्र बालाक जो मोआब देश का राजा था,
5 and to send: depart messenger to(wards) Balaam son: child Beor Pethor [to] which upon [the] River land: country/planet son: descendant/people people his to/for to call: call to to/for him to/for to say behold people to come out: come from Egypt behold to cover [obj] eye: before(the eyes) [the] land: country/planet and he/she/it to dwell from opposite me
उसने पेथोर नगर को, जो फरात नदी के निकट है, उस नगर का रहवासी, बेओर के पुत्र बिलआम के पास अपने दूतों के द्वारा यह आमंत्रण भेजा: “सुनिए, मिस्र देश से यह जनसमूह यहां आ गया है. ये लोग इतनी बड़ी संख्या में हैं कि वे भूमि पर छा गए हैं और इन्होंने हमारे देश के सामने ही पड़ाव डाल रखा है.
6 and now to go: come! [emph?] please to curse [emph?] to/for me [obj] [the] people [the] this for mighty he/she/it from me perhaps be able to smite in/on/with him and to drive out: drive out him from [the] land: country/planet for to know [obj] which to bless to bless and which to curse to curse
तब कृपा कर यहां पधारिए, मेरी ओर से इन्हें शाप दीजिए, क्योंकि ये हमारी तुलना में बहुत ही शक्तिशाली हैं. तब मेरे लिए यह संभव हो जाएगा कि मैं उन्हें पराजित कर हमारे देश से बाहर खदेड़ सकूं. क्योंकि इतना मुझे मालूम है कि आप जिनको आशीर्वाद देते हैं, वे फलवंत हो जाते हैं, तथा जिन्हें आप शाप देते हैं, वे शापित ही रह जाते हैं.”
7 and to go: went old: elder Moab and old: elder Midian and divination in/on/with hand: power their and to come (in): come to(wards) Balaam and to speak: speak to(wards) him word Balak
फिर मोआब तथा मिदियान के प्राचीन अपने साथ भविष्य बताने का उपहार लेकर उपस्थित हुए. बिलआम के घर पर पहुंचकर उन्होंने उसके सामने बालाक का आग्रह दोहरा दिया.
8 and to say to(wards) them to lodge here [the] night and to return: return [obj] you word like/as as which to speak: speak LORD to(wards) me and to dwell ruler Moab with Balaam
बिलआम ने उनके सामने प्रस्ताव रखा, “आप यहां रात्रि के लिए ठहर कर विश्राम कीजिए. जब याहवेह मुझसे बातें करेंगे, मैं आपको उनका संदेश दे दूंगा.” मोआब के वे प्रधान बिलआम के यहां ठहर गए.
9 and to come (in): come God to(wards) Balaam and to say who? [the] human [the] these with you
परमेश्वर बिलआम पर प्रकट हुए तथा उससे प्रश्न किया, “कौन हैं ये व्यक्ति, जो तुम्हारे साथ हैं?”
10 and to say Balaam to(wards) [the] God Balak son: child Zippor king Moab to send: depart to(wards) me
बिलआम ने परमेश्वर को उत्तर दिया, “ज़ीप्पोर के पुत्र बालाक ने, जो मोआब का राजा है, मेरे लिए संदेश भेजा है:
11 behold [the] people [the] to come out: come from Egypt and to cover [obj] eye: before(the eyes) [the] land: country/planet now to go: come! [emph?] to curse [emph?] to/for me [obj] him perhaps be able to/for to fight in/on/with him and to drive out: drive out him
‘सुनिए, मिस्र से ये लोग निकलकर आए हुए हैं. ये लोग तो भूमि पर छा गए हैं. अब आकर मेरी ओर से इन्हें शाप दे दो. तब संभवतः मैं उनसे युद्ध कर उन्हें यहां से खदेड़ सकूंगा.’”
12 and to say God to(wards) Balaam not to go: went with them not to curse [obj] [the] people for to bless he/she/it
परमेश्वर ने बिलआम को आज्ञा दी, “मत जाओ उनके साथ. तुम उन लोगों को शाप नहीं दोगे, क्योंकि वे लोग आशीषित लोग हैं.”
13 and to arise: rise Balaam in/on/with morning and to say to(wards) ruler Balak to go: went to(wards) land: country/planet your for to refuse LORD to/for to give: allow me to/for to go: went with you
फिर सुबह होते ही बिलआम ने बालाक के प्रधानों को उत्तर दिया, “आप लोग अपने देश लौट जाइए, क्योंकि याहवेह ने मुझे आप लोगों के साथ जाने के लिए मना कर दिया है.”
14 and to arise: rise ruler Moab and to come (in): come to(wards) Balak and to say to refuse Balaam to go: come with us
मोआब के उन प्रधानों ने लौटकर बालाक को यह सूचना दे दी, “बिलआम ने हमारे साथ यहां आने से मना कर दिया है.”
15 and to add: again still Balak to send: depart ruler many and to honor: honour from these
फिर बालाक ने दोबारा इन प्रधानों से अधिक संख्या में तथा अधिक सम्मानजनक प्रधानों को बिलआम के पास भेज दिया.
16 and to come (in): come to(wards) Balaam and to say to/for him thus to say Balak son: child Zippor not please to withhold from to go: come to(wards) me
बिलआम के सामने जाकर उन्होंने विनती की, “ज़ीप्पोर के पुत्र बालाक की विनती है, ‘आपको मेरे पास आने में कोई भी बाधा न हो,
17 for to honor: honour to honor: honour you much and all which to say to(wards) me to make: do and to go: come! [emph?] please to curse [emph?] to/for me [obj] [the] people [the] this
विश्वास कीजिए मैं आपको अपार धन से सम्मानित कर दूंगा, आप जो कुछ कहेंगे, मैं वही करने के लिए तैयार हूं. बस, आप कृपा कर यहां आ जाइए और मेरी ओर से इन लोगों को शाप दे दीजिए.’”
18 and to answer Balaam and to say to(wards) servant/slave Balak if to give: give to/for me Balak fullness house: home his silver: money and gold not be able to/for to pass: trespass [obj] lip: word LORD God my to/for to make: do small or great: large
बिलआम ने बालाक के लोगों को उत्तर दिया, “यदि बालाक मेरे घर को चांदी और सोने से भर भी दें, मेरे लिए कुछ भी करना संभव न होगा, चाहे यह विनती छोटी हो या बड़ी. मैं याहवेह, मेरे परमेश्वर के आदेश के विपरीत कुछ नहीं कर सकता.
19 and now to dwell please in/on/with this also you(m. p.) [the] night and to know what? to add LORD to speak: speak with me
फिर अब, आप रात्रि में मेरे यहां विश्राम कीजिए. मैं मालूम करूंगा, कि याहवेह इस विषय में मुझसे और क्या कहना चाहेंगे.”
20 and to come (in): come God to(wards) Balaam night and to say to/for him if to/for to call: call to to/for you to come (in): come [the] human to arise: rise to go: went with them and surely [obj] [the] word which to speak: speak to(wards) you [obj] him to make: do
रात में परमेश्वर ने बिलआम के सामने आकर उसे आज्ञा दी, “यदि वे तुम्हें अपने साथ ले जाने के उद्देश्य से आ ही गए हैं, तो जाओ उनके साथ; किंतु तुम सिर्फ वही कहोगे, जो मैं तुमसे कहूंगा, वही करना.”
21 and to arise: rise Balaam in/on/with morning and to saddle/tie [obj] she-ass his and to go: went with ruler Moab
फिर सुबह बिलआम उठा, अपनी गधी की काठी कसी तथा मोआब के प्रधानों के साथ चल दिया.
22 and to be incensed face: anger God for to go: went he/she/it and to stand messenger: angel LORD in/on/with way: journey to/for Satan to/for him and he/she/it to ride upon she-ass his and two youth his with him
बिलआम के उनके साथ चले जाने पर परमेश्वर अप्रसन्न हो गए. याहवेह का दूत बिलआम के मार्ग में शत्रु के समान विरोधी बनकर खड़ा हो गया. बिलआम अपनी गधी पर बैठा हुआ था, तथा उसके साथ उसके दो सेवक भी थे.
23 and to see: see [the] she-ass [obj] messenger: angel LORD to stand in/on/with way: road and sword his to draw in/on/with hand: power his and to stretch [the] she-ass from [the] way: road and to go: went in/on/with land: country and to smite Balaam [obj] [the] she-ass to/for to stretch her [the] way: road
जैसे ही गधी की दृष्टि हाथ में तलवार लिए हुए, मार्ग में खड़े हुए याहवेह के दूत पर पड़ी, वह मार्ग छोड़ खेत में चली गई. बिलआम ने गधी को प्रहार किए, कि वह दोबारा मार्ग पर आ जाए.
24 and to stand: stand messenger: angel LORD in/on/with passage [the] vineyard wall from this and wall from this
फिर याहवेह का दूत अंगूर के बगीचे के बीच की संकरी पगडंडी पर जा खड़ा हुआ, जिसके दोनों ओर दीवार थी.
25 and to see: see [the] she-ass [obj] messenger: angel LORD and to oppress to(wards) [the] wall and to oppress [obj] foot Balaam to(wards) [the] wall and to add: again to/for to smite her
जब गधी की दृष्टि याहवेह के दूत पर पड़ी वह दीवार से सट गई, जिससे बिलआम का पैर दीवार से दब गया. बिलआम ने दोबारा उस गधी पर प्रहार किया.
26 and to add messenger: angel LORD to pass and to stand: stand in/on/with place narrow which nothing way: journey to/for to stretch right and left
याहवेह का वह दूत आगे चला गया तथा एक ऐसे संकरे स्थान पर जा खड़ा हुआ जहां न तो दाएं मुड़ने का कोई स्थान था, न बाएं मुड़ने का.
27 and to see: see [the] she-ass [obj] messenger: angel LORD and to stretch underneath: under Balaam and to be incensed face: anger Balaam and to smite [obj] [the] she-ass in/on/with rod
जब उस गधी ने याहवेह के दूत को देखा तो वह बिलआम के नीचे पसर गई. बिलआम क्रोधित हो गया तथा उसने अपनी लाठी से उस गधी पर वार किया.
28 and to open LORD [obj] lip [the] she-ass and to say to/for Balaam what? to make: do to/for you for to smite me this three foot
तब याहवेह ने उस गधी को बोलने की क्षमता प्रदान कर दी. वह बिलआम से कहने लगी, “मैंने ऐसा क्या किया है, जो आपने मुझ पर इस प्रकार तीन बार वार किया है?”
29 and to say Balaam to/for she-ass for to abuse in/on/with me if there sword in/on/with hand my for now to kill you
बिलआम ने उसे उत्तर दिया, “इसलिये कि तुमने मुझे हंसी का पात्र बना रखा है! यदि मेरे हाथ में तलवार होती, मैं अब तक तुम्हारा वध कर चुका होता.”
30 and to say [the] she-ass to(wards) Balaam not I she-ass your which to ride upon me from still your till [the] day [the] this be useful be useful to/for to make: do to/for you thus and to say not
उस गधी ने उसे उत्तर दिया, “क्या मैं आपकी वही गधी नहीं रही हूं, जिस पर आप आजीवन यात्रा करते रहे हैं, जैसे कि आज भी? क्या मैंने भी आपके साथ कभी ऐसा व्यवहार किया है?” बिलआम ने उत्तर दिया, “नहीं तो?”
31 and to reveal: uncover LORD [obj] eye Balaam and to see: see [obj] messenger: angel LORD to stand in/on/with way: journey and sword his to draw in/on/with hand his and to bow and to bow to/for face his
फिर याहवेह ने बिलआम को वह दृष्टि प्रदान की, कि उसे याहवेह का वह दूत दिखाई देने लगा, जो मार्ग में तलवार लिए हुए खड़ा था. बिलआम उसके सामने गिर पड़ा.
32 and to say to(wards) him messenger: angel LORD upon what? to smite [obj] she-ass your this three foot behold I to come out: come to/for Satan for to push [the] way: conduct to/for before me
याहवेह के दूत ने बिलआम से पूछा, “तुमने तीन बार इस गधी पर वार क्यों किया है? यह समझ लो कि मैं तुम्हारा विरोध करने आ गया हूं, क्योंकि तुम्हारी चाल मुझसे ठीक विपरीत है.
33 and to see: see me [the] she-ass and to stretch to/for face: before my this three foot perhaps to stretch from face: before my for now also [obj] you to kill and [obj] her to live
इस गधी ने मुझे देख लिया और इन तीनों बार मुझसे दूर चली गई; यदि उसने ऐसा न किया होता तो निश्चित ही इस समय मैं तुम्हारा नाश कर चुका होता, और उसे जीवित ही रहने देता.”
34 and to say Balaam to(wards) messenger: angel LORD to sin for not to know for you(m. s.) to stand to/for to encounter: toward me in/on/with way: road and now if be evil in/on/with eye: seeing your to return: return to/for me
बिलआम ने याहवेह के उस दूत के सामने यह स्वीकार किया, “मैंने पाप किया है. मैं इस बात से अनजान था, कि मार्ग में खड़े हुए आप मेरा सामना कर रहे थे. फिर अब, यदि यह आपके विरुद्ध हो रहा है, मैं लौट जाना चाहूंगा.”
35 and to say messenger: angel LORD to(wards) Balaam to go: went with [the] human and end [obj] [the] word which to speak: speak to(wards) you [obj] him to speak: speak and to go: went Balaam with ruler Balak
किंतु याहवेह के दूत ने बिलआम से कहा, “अब तो तुम इन लोगों के साथ चले जाओ, किंतु तुम वही कहोगे, जो मैं तुम्हें कहने के लिए प्रेरित करूंगा.” फिर बिलआम बालाक के उन प्रधानों के साथ चला गया.
36 and to hear: hear Balak for to come (in): come Balaam and to come out: come to/for to encounter: meet him to(wards) city Moab which upon border: boundary Arnon which in/on/with end [the] border: boundary
जब बालाक को यह मालूम हुआ, कि बिलआम आ रहा है, वह उससे भेंट करने मोआब के उस नगर के लिए निकल पड़ा, जो आरनोन की सीमा पर स्थित है; सीमा के दूर वाले छोर पर.
37 and to say Balak to(wards) Balaam not to send: depart to send: depart to(wards) you to/for to call: call to to/for you to/for what? not to go: come to(wards) me truly not be able to honor: honour you
भेंट होने पर बालाक ने बिलआम से कहा, “क्या मैंने आपको अत्यंत आवश्यक विनती के साथ आमंत्रित न किया था? आप फिर क्यों न आए? क्या मेरे लिए आपका उचित सम्मान करना असंभव था?”
38 and to say Balaam to(wards) Balak behold to come (in): come to(wards) you now be able be able to speak: speak anything [the] word which to set: put God in/on/with lip my [obj] him to speak: speak
बिलआम ने बालाक को उत्तर दिया, “देखिए अब तो मैं आपके लिए प्रस्तुत हूं. क्या मुझमें ऐसी कोई क्षमता है, कि मैं कुछ भी कह सकूं? मैं तो वही कहूंगा, जो परमेश्वर मेरे मुख में डालेंगे.”
39 and to go: went Balaam with Balak and to come (in): come Kiriath-huzoth Kiriath-huzoth
यह कहते हुए बिलआम बालाक के साथ चला गया और वे किरयथ-हुज़ोथ नामक स्थल पर पहुंचे.
40 and to sacrifice Balak cattle and flock and to send: depart to/for Balaam and to/for ruler which with him
वहां बालाक ने बछड़ों तथा भेड़ों की बलि भेंट की. इसका कुछ अंश उसने बिलआम तथा उसके साथ आए प्रधानों को दे दिया.
41 and to be in/on/with morning and to take: take Balak [obj] Balaam and to ascend: establish him Bamoth (Bamoth)-baal and to see: see from there end [the] people
सुबह होते ही बालाक बिलआम को बामोथ-बाल के पूजा-स्थल पर ले गया, जहां से इस्राएली प्रजा का एक अंश दिखाई दे रहा था.
