Numbers 17

૧યહોવાહ મૂસા સાથે બોલ્યા. તેમણે કહ્યું કે,

૨“તું ઇઝરાયલી લોકોને કહે કે તેઓની પાસેથી એટલે તેઓના પૂર્વજોના કુળદીઠ એક તે મુજબ લાકડીઓ લેવી એટલે તેઓના સર્વ આગેવાનો પાસેથી તેઓના પિતાઓનાં ઘર મુજબ બાર લાકડી લે અને દરેક માણસનું નામ તેની લાકડી પર લખ.

૩લેવીની લાકડી પર તું હારુનનું નામ લખ; કેમ કે તેઓના પૂર્વજોના કુળના દરેક આગેવાનને માટે એકેક લાકડી હોય.

૪કરારની સામેના મુલાકાતમંડપમાં કે જ્યાં હું તને મળું છું ત્યાં તારે આ લાકડીઓ મૂકવી.
5 and to be [the] man which to choose in/on/with him tribe: rod his to sprout and to subside from upon me [obj] murmuring son: descendant/people Israel which they(masc.) to grumble upon you
૫અને એવું થશે કે જે માણસને હું પસંદ કરીશ તેની લાકડીને અંકુર ફૂટી નીકળશે. આ રીતે હું ઇઝરાયલી લોકો જે તારી વિરુદ્ધ બોલે છે તેઓની ફરિયાદોને બંધ કરીશ.”
6 and to speak: speak Moses to(wards) son: descendant/people Israel and to give: give to(wards) him all leader their tribe: rod to/for leader one tribe: rod to/for leader one to/for house: household father their two ten tribe: rod and tribe: rod Aaron in/on/with midst tribe: rod their
૬તેથી મૂસાએ બધા ઇઝરાયલી લોકોને કહ્યું. બધા કુળના આગેવાનોએ પોતાની લાકડી તેને આપી, દરેક આગેવાન પાસેથી એક લાકડી, તેમનાં પિતૃઓના કુળો પ્રમાણે એકેક લાકડી, એમ કુલ બાર લાકડી. હારુનની લાકડી પણ તેઓની લાકડીઓ વચ્ચે હતી.
7 and to rest Moses [obj] [the] tribe: rod to/for face: before LORD in/on/with tent [the] testimony
૭પછી મૂસાએ લાકડીઓ મુલાકાતમંડપની અંદરના સાક્ષ્યમંડપમાં યહોવાહની સમક્ષ મૂકી.

૮બીજે દિવસે મૂસા સાક્ષ્યમંડપમાં ગયો ત્યારે જુઓ, હારુનની લાકડી જે લેવીના કુળને માટે હતી તે ફૂટી નીકળી હતી. તેને અંકુર ફૂટ્યા હતા, ફૂલો ખીલ્યાં હતા અને પાકી બદામો પણ લાગી હતી.

૯મૂસા યહોવાહની સમક્ષતામાંથી બધી લાકડીઓ ઇઝરાયલી પાસે બહાર લાવ્યો. દરેક માણસે પોતાની લાકડી શોધી અને લઈ લીધી.
10 and to say LORD to(wards) Moses to return: return [obj] tribe: rod Aaron to/for face: before [the] testimony to/for charge to/for sign: indicator to/for son: young animal rebellion and to end: finish murmuring their from upon me and not to die
૧૦યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું, “હારુનની લાકડી સાક્ષ્યમંડપની સમક્ષ મૂક. બળવો કરનારા લોકો વિરુદ્ધ ચિહ્ન તરીકે મૂક, જેથી મારી વિરુદ્ધ તેમની આ ફરિયાદોનો અંત આવે અને તેમને મરવું પડે નહિ.”
11 and to make: do Moses like/as as which to command LORD [obj] him so to make: do
૧૧યહોવાહે જેમ આજ્ઞા આપી હતી તે પ્રમાણે મૂસાએ કર્યુ.
12 and to say son: descendant/people Israel to(wards) Moses to/for to say look! to die to perish all our (to perish *LAB(h)*)
૧૨ઇઝરાયલી લોકોએ મૂસાને કહ્યું, “આપણે અહીં મરી જઈશું. અમે બધા નાશ પામીએ છીએ!

૧૩જે કોઈ ઉપર જાય છે, એટલે યહોવાહના મંડપ પાસે જાય છે, તે માર્યો જાય છે. તો શું અમે બધા નાશ પામીએ?”
