Tempatkanlah penjaga-penjaga dari antara penduduk Yerusalem, masing-masing pada tempat-tempat penjagaan dan di depan rumahnya."

Adapun kota itu luas dan besar, tetapi penduduknya sedikit dan rumah-rumah belum dibangun.

Maka Allahku memberikan dalam hatiku rencana untuk mengumpulkan para pemuka, para penguasa dan rakyat, supaya mereka dicatat dalam silsilah. Lalu kudapati daftar silsilah orang-orang yang lebih dahulu berangkat pulang. Dalam daftar itu kudapati tertulis:
