Nehemiah 13

En ce temps-là, on lut aux oreilles du peuple dans le livre de Moïse, et l’on y trouva écrit que l’Ammonite et le Moabite ne devaient jamais entrer dans l’assemblée de Dieu,

parce qu’ils n’étaient pas venus au-devant des enfants d’Israël avec du pain et de l’eau, et parce qu’ils avaient payé contre eux Balaam pour qu’il les maudit; mais notre Dieu avait changé la malédiction en bénédiction.
3 and to be like/as to hear: hear they [obj] [the] instruction and to separate all racial-mix from Israel
Lorsqu’on eut entendu cette loi, on sépara d’Israël tous les étrangers.
4 and to/for face: before from this Eliashib [the] priest to give: put in/on/with chamber house: temple God our near to/for Tobiah
Avant cela, le prêtre Eliasib, qui avait l’intendance des chambres de la maison de notre Dieu et qui était allié de Tobie,
5 and to make to/for him chamber great: large and there to be to/for face: before to give: put [obj] [the] offering [the] frankincense and [the] article/utensil and tithe [the] grain [the] new wine and [the] oil commandment [the] Levi and [the] to sing and [the] gatekeeper and contribution [the] priest
avait disposé pour ce dernier une grande chambre où l’on mettait auparavant les offrandes, l’encens, les ustensiles, la dîme du blé, du vin nouveau et de l’huile, la taxe des lévites, des chantres et des portiers, et ce qui était prélevé pour les prêtres.
6 and in/on/with all this not to be in/on/with Jerusalem for in/on/with year thirty and two to/for Artaxerxes king Babylon to come (in): come to(wards) [the] king and to/for end day to ask from [the] king
Quand tout cela eut lieu, je n’étais point à Jérusalem; car, la trente deuxième année d’Artaxerxès, roi de Babylone, j’étais retourné près du roi. Au bout de quelque temps, j’obtins du roi la permission
7 and to come (in): come to/for Jerusalem and to understand [emph?] in/on/with distress: evil which to make: do Eliashib to/for Tobiah to/for to make to/for him chamber in/on/with court house: temple [the] God
de revenir à Jérusalem, et je m’aperçus du mal qu’avait fait Eliasib, en faveur de Tobie, en arrangeant une chambre pour lui dans les parvis de la maison de Dieu.
8 and be evil to/for me much and to throw [emph?] [obj] all article/utensil house: home Tobiah [the] outside from [the] chamber
J’en éprouvai une grande douleur, et je jetai hors de la chambre tous les meubles de la demeure de Tobie.
9 and to say [emph?] and be pure [the] chamber and to return: return [emph?] there article/utensil house: temple [the] God [obj] [the] offering and [the] frankincense
Puis j’ordonnai qu’on purifiât les chambres, et j’y replaçai les ustensiles de la maison de Dieu, les offrandes et l’encens.
10 and to know [emph?] for portion [the] Levi not to give: give and to flee man: anyone to/for land: country his [the] Levi and [the] to sing to make: do [the] work
J’appris aussi que les portions des lévites n’avaient pas été livrées, et que les lévites et les chantres chargés du service s’étaient enfuis chacun dans ses terres.
11 and to contend [emph?] with [the] ruler and to say [emph?] why? to leave: neglect house: temple [the] God and to gather them and to stand: stand them upon post their
J’adressai des réprimandes aux magistrats, et je dis: « Pourquoi la maison de Dieu est-elle abandonnée? « Et je rassemblai les lévites et les chantres, et je les remis à leur poste.
12 and all Judah to come (in): bring tithe [the] grain and [the] new wine and [the] oil to/for treasure
Alors tout Juda apporta dans les magasins la dîme du blé, du vin nouveau et de l’huile.
13 and to store [emph?] upon treasure Shelemiah [the] priest and Zadok [the] secretary and Pedaiah from [the] Levi and upon hand: to their Hanan son: child Zaccur son: child Mattaniah for be faithful to devise: count and upon them to/for to divide to/for brother: male-relative their
Je confiai l’intendance des magasins à Sélémias, le prêtre, à Sadoc, le scribe, et à Phadaïas, l’un des lévites, et je leur adjoignis Hanan, fils de Zachur, fils de Mathanias, parce qu’ils étaient reconnus fidèles. C’était à eux de faire les distributions à leurs frères.
14 to remember [emph?] to/for me God my upon this and not to wipe kindness my which to make: do in/on/with house: temple God my and in/on/with custody his
Souvenez-vous de moi, ô mon Dieu, à cause de cela, et n’effacez pas de votre mémoire les actes de piété que j’ai faits pour la maison de Dieu et pour son service!
15 in/on/with day [the] they(masc.) to see: see in/on/with Judah to tread wine press in/on/with Sabbath and to come (in): bring [the] heap and to lift upon [the] donkey and also wine grape and fig and all burden and to come (in): bring Jerusalem in/on/with day [the] Sabbath and to testify in/on/with day to sell they food
En ce temps là, je vis en Juda des hommes qui foulaient au pressoir pendant le sabbat, qui rentraient des gerbes, chargeaient sur des ânes même du vin, des raisins, des figues et toutes sortes de fardeaux, et qui les amenaient à Jérusalem le jour du sabbat; et je leur donnai un avertissement lorsqu’ils vendaient leurs denrées.
16 and [the] Tyrian to dwell in/on/with her to come (in): bring fish and all merchandise and to sell in/on/with Sabbath to/for son: descendant/people Judah and in/on/with Jerusalem
De même les Tyriens demeurant à Jérusalem, apportaient du poisson et toutes sortes de marchandises, et les vendaient, le jour du sabbat, aux fils de Juda et dans Jérusalem.
17 and to contend [emph?] with noble Judah and to say [emph?] to/for them what? [the] word: thing [the] bad: evil [the] this which you(m. p.) to make: do and to profane/begin: profane [obj] day [the] Sabbath
J’adressai des réprimandes aux grands de Juda et je leur dis: « Quelle est cette mauvaise action que vous faites, en profanant le jour du sabbat?
18 not thus to make: do father your and to come (in): bring God our upon us [obj] all [the] distress: harm [the] this and upon [the] city [the] this and you(m. p.) to add burning anger upon Israel to/for to profane/begin: profane [obj] [the] Sabbath
N’est-ce pas ainsi qu’ont agi vos pères, et n’est-ce pas à cause de cela que notre Dieu a fait venir tous ces malheurs sur nous et sur cette ville? Et vous, vous augmentez encore sa colère contre Israël en profanant le sabbat!… »
19 and to be like/as as which to shade gate Jerusalem to/for face: before [the] Sabbath and to say [emph?] and to shut [the] door and to say [emph?] which not to open them till after [the] Sabbath and from youth my to stand: stand upon [the] gate not to come (in): come burden in/on/with day [the] Sabbath
Ensuite, dès qu’il fit sombre aux entrées de Jérusalem, avant le sabbat, j’ordonnai de fermer les portes, et j’ordonnai qu’on ne les ouvrit qu’après le sabbat. De plus, je plaçai aux portes quelques-uns de mes gens afin qu’ aucun fardeau n’entrât le jour du sabbat.
20 and to lodge [the] to trade and to sell all sale from outside to/for Jerusalem beat and two
Alors les marchands et les vendeurs de toutes sortes de denrées passèrent la nuit une fois ou deux hors de Jérusalem.
21 and to testify [emph?] in/on/with them and to say [emph?] to(wards) them why? you(m. p.) to lodge before [the] wall if to repeat hand to send: reach in/on/with you from [the] time [the] he/she/it not to come (in): come in/on/with Sabbath
Je les avertis, et je leur dis: « Pourquoi passez-vous la nuit devant la muraille? Si vous le faites encore, je mettrai la main sur vous. « Depuis ce temps-là, ils ne vinrent plus pendant le sabbat.
22 and to say [emph?] to/for Levi which to be be pure and to come (in): come to keep: guard [the] gate to/for to consecrate: consecate [obj] day [the] Sabbath also this to remember [emph?] to/for me God my and to pity [emph?] upon me like/as abundance kindness your
Et j’ordonnai aux lévites de se purifier et de venir garder les portes pour sanctifier le jour du sabbat.
23 also in/on/with day [the] they(masc.) to see: see [obj] [the] Jew to dwell woman (Ashdod Ammon *Q(k)*) Moabite
En ce même temps, je vis aussi des Juifs qui avaient établi chez eux des femmes azotiennes, ammonites, moabites.
24 and son: child their half to speak: speak Ashdod and nothing they to recognize to/for to speak: speak Judahite and like/as tongue: language people and people
La moitié de leurs fils parlaient l’azotien sans pouvoir parler judéen; et de même pour la langue de tel et tel autre peuple.
25 and to contend with them and to lighten them and to smite from them human and to smooth them and to swear them in/on/with God if: surely no to give: give(marriage) daughter your to/for son: child their and if: surely no to lift: marry from daughter their to/for son: child your and to/for you
Je leur adressai des réprimandes et je les maudis; j’en frappai plusieurs, je leur arrachai les cheveux et je les adjurai au nom de Dieu, en disant: « Vous ne donnerez point vos filles à leurs fils et vous ne prendrez point de leurs filles pour vos fils ou pour vous.
26 not upon these to sin Solomon king Israel and in/on/with nation [the] many not to be king like him and to love: lover to/for God his to be and to give: make him God king upon all Israel also [obj] him to sin [the] woman [the] foreign
N’est-ce pas en cela qu’a péché Salomon, roi d’Israël? Il n’y avait pas de roi semblable à lui parmi la multitude des nations, il était aimé de son Dieu et Dieu l’avait établi roi sur tout Israël; mais les femmes étrangères l’entraînèrent, lui aussi, dans le péché.
27 and to/for you to hear: hear to/for to make: do [obj] all [the] distress: evil [the] great: large [the] this to/for be unfaithful in/on/with God our to/for to dwell woman foreign
Fallait-il donc apprendre à votre sujet que vous commettez ce grand crime et que vous péchez contre notre Dieu, en établissant chez vous des femmes étrangères? »
28 and from son: child Joiada son: child Eliashib [the] priest [the] great: large son-in-law to/for Sanballat [the] Horonite and to flee him from upon me
Un des fils de Joïada, fils d’Eliasib, le grand prêtre, était gendre de Sanaballat le Horonite; je le chassai loin de moi.
29 to remember [emph?] to/for them God my upon defilement [the] priesthood and covenant [the] priesthood and [the] Levi
Souvenez-vous d’eux, ô mon Dieu, à propos de cette profanation du sacerdoce et des obligations sacrées des prêtres et des lévites!
30 and be pure them from all foreign and to stand: appoint [emph?] charge to/for priest and to/for Levi man: anyone in/on/with work his
Je les purifiai de tout ce qui était étranger, et je remis en vigueur les règlements concernent les prêtres et les lévites, chacun dans son ministère,
31 and to/for offering [the] tree: wood in/on/with time to appoint and to/for firstfruit to remember [emph?] to/for me God my to/for welfare
et ce qui concernait l’offrande du bois à des époques déterminées, ainsi que les prémices. Souvenez-vous-en en ma faveur, ô mon Dieu, pour mon bien!
