1 to ascend: rise scatterer upon face of your to watch fortress to watch way: road to strengthen: strengthen loin to strengthen strength much
He that breaketh in pieces hath come up over thy face, Keep the keeps, —watch the way, brace the loins, make vigour very firm.
2 for to return: rescue LORD [obj] pride Jacob like/as pride Israel for to empty them to empty and branch their to ruin
For Yahweh hath restored the excellency of Jacob, like the excellency of Israel, —for the plunderers have plundered them, and, their vine branches, have they marred.
3 shield mighty man his to redden human strength: soldiers to clothe in scarlet in/on/with fire iron [the] chariot in/on/with day to establish: prepare he and [the] cypress to quiver
The shield of his heroes, is made red, the men of war, are clad in crimson, on fire, are the chariot-steels, on the day he maketh ready, —and, the lances, are put in motion.
4 in/on/with outside to boast: rave madly [the] chariot to rush [emph?] in/on/with street/plaza appearance their like/as torch like/as lightning to run: run
In the streets, madly go the chariots, they rush along in the broadways, —their appearance, is like torches, as lightnings, hither and thither do they run.
5 to remember great his to stumble (in/on/with walk their *Q(K)*) to hasten wall her and to establish: establish [the] protector
Let him call to mind his nobles, they shall stumble as they go—let them hasten to her wall, yet the storming cover, is prepared.
6 gate [the] river to open and [the] temple: palace to melt
The gates of the rivers, have been opened, —and, the palace, doth quake.
7 and to stand to reveal: uncover to ascend: establish and maidservant her to moan like/as voice dove to beat upon heart their
And, Huzzab, hath been taken captive—hath been led up, —and, her handmaids, are making a moan like the sound of doves, as they taber upon their heart.
8 and Nineveh like/as pool water from day he/she/it and they(masc.) to flee to stand: stand to stand: stand and nothing to turn
Yet, as for Nineveh, like a reservoir of waters, are her waters, —but, those men, are in flight! Stand! stand! but no one is turning.
9 to plunder silver: money to plunder gold and nothing end to/for fitting glory from all article/utensil desire
Plunder silver, plunder gold, —and there is no end to the costly furnishing, rich with every article of delight.
10 emptiness and emptiness and to waste and heart to melt and tottering knee and anguish in/on/with all loin and face of all their to gather pale
Emptiness, yea turned to emptiness, aye deserted [is she]! with, heart, unnerved, and, a tottering, of knees, and, anguish, in all loins, and, the faces of them all, have withdrawn their colour.
11 where? habitation lion and pasture he/she/it to/for lion which to go: went lion lion there whelp lion and nothing to tremble
Where is the lair of the lions? Yea the very feeding-place of the young lions, —where walked the lion, the lioness, the lion’s whelp, with none to make them afraid?
12 lion to tear in/on/with sufficiency whelp his and to strangle to/for lion his and to fill prey hole his and habitation his torn animal
The lion, used to tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and to strangle for his lionesses, —and then fill with prey his holes, and his lairs with what he had torn.
13 look! I to(wards) you utterance LORD Hosts and to burn: burn in/on/with smoke chariot her and lion your to eat sword and to cut: cut from land: country/planet prey your and not to hear: hear still voice messenger your
Behold me! against thee, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, Therefore will I burn up in smoke her chariots, and, thy young lions, shall be devoured by the sword, —so will I cut off, out of the earth, thy prey, nor shall be heard any more, the voice of thine envoy.
