Matthew 3

Or, en ce temps-là vint Jean-Baptiste, prêchant dans le désert de la Judée;
2 and to say to repent to come near for the/this/who kingdom the/this/who heaven
Et disant: Convertissez-vous; car le Royaume des cieux est proche.

Car c'est ici celui dont il a été parlé par Esaïe le Prophète, en disant: la voix de celui qui crie dans le désert [est]: préparez le chemin du Seigneur, aplanissez ses sentiers.

Alors les habitants de Jérusalem, et de toute la Judée, et de tout le pays des environs du Jourdain, vinrent à lui.

Et ils étaient baptisés par lui au Jourdain confessant leurs péchés.

Mais voyant plusieurs des Pharisiens et des Saducéens venir à son baptême, il leur dit: race de vipères, qui vous a avertis de fuir la colère à venir?

Faites donc des fruits convenables à la repentance.

Et ne présumez point de dire en vous-mêmes: nous avons Abraham pour père; car je vous dis que Dieu peut faire naître de ces pierres mêmes des enfants à Abraham.

Or la cognée est déjà mise à la racine des arbres; c'est pourquoi tout arbre qui ne fait point de bon fruit s'en va être coupé, et jeté au feu.

Pour moi, je vous baptise d'eau en [signe de] repentance; mais celui qui vient après moi est plus puissant que moi, et je ne suis pas digne de porter ses souliers; celui-là vous baptisera du Saint-Esprit, et de feu.

Il a son van en sa main, et il nettoiera entièrement son aire, et il assemblera son froment au grenier; mais il brûlera la paille au feu qui ne s'éteint point.
13 then to come the/this/who Jesus away from the/this/who Galilee upon/to/against the/this/who Jordan to/with the/this/who John the/this/who to baptize by/under: by it/s/he
Alors Jésus vint de Galilée au Jourdain vers Jean pour être baptisé par lui.
14 the/this/who then John to hinder it/s/he to say I/we need to have/be by/under: by you to baptize and you to come/go to/with me
Mais Jean l'en empêchait fort, en [lui] disant: J'ai besoin d'être baptisé par toi, et tu viens vers moi?
15 to answer then the/this/who Jesus to say to/with (it/s/he *NK(o)*) to release: permit now thus(-ly) for be proper to be me to fulfill all righteousness then to release: permit it/s/he
Et Jésus répondant lui dit: Laisse [moi faire] pour le présent: car il nous est ainsi convenable d'accomplir toute justice; et alors il le laissa faire.
16 (and *k*) to baptize (then *no*) the/this/who Jesus immediately to ascend away from the/this/who water and look! to open it/s/he the/this/who heaven and to perceive: see the/this/who spirit/breath: spirit the/this/who God to come/go down like/as/about dove and to come/go upon/to/against it/s/he
Et quand Jésus eut été baptisé, il sortit incontinent hors de l'eau, et voilà, les cieux lui furent ouverts, et [Jean] vit l'Esprit de Dieu descendant comme une colombe, et venant sur lui.
17 and look! voice/sound: voice out from the/this/who heaven to say this/he/she/it to be the/this/who son me the/this/who beloved in/on/among which to delight
Et voilà une voix du ciel, disant: Celui-ci est mon Fils bien-aimé, en qui j'ai pris mon bon plaisir.
