ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಡನೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಊರಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
2 and to be Sabbath be first to teach in/on/among the/this/who synagogue and (the/this/who *o*) much to hear be astonished to say whence this/he/she/it this/he/she/it and which? the/this/who wisdom the/this/who to give (this/he/she/it *N(k)O*) (that/since: since *k*) and (the/this/who *no*) power such as this through/because of the/this/who hand it/s/he (to be *N(k)O*)
ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಯೇಸು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಅನೇಕರು ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಂಡು, “ಈತನು ಇವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ಈತನ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಇಂಥ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಈತನಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂತು?

ಈತನು ಬಡಗಿಯಲ್ಲವೇ? ಈತನು ಮರಿಯಳ ಮಗನಲ್ಲವೇ? ಈತನು ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಯೋಸೆ, ಯೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಸೀಮೋನರ ಅಣ್ಣನಲ್ಲವೇ? ಈತನ ತಂಗಿಯರು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡರು.

ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ತನ್ನ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರ ನಡುವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.

ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಕೆಲವು ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಅಪನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು.

ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಗಟ್ಟುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಬ್ಬಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೇವಲ ಕೋಲು ಒಂದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ರೊಟ್ಟಿ, ಚೀಲ ಅಥವಾ ಜೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ.

ಪಾದರಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಆದರೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಯಾವುದಾದರೊಂದು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ, ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಹೋಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದಲೇ ಹೊರಡಿರಿ.

ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಅಥವಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನೀವು ಹೊರಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿದ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಝಾಡಿಸಿಬಿಡಿರಿ. ಅದು ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ,” ಎಂದರು.

ಅವರು ಅನೇಕರಿಂದ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನೋಡಿಸಿ, ಅನೇಕ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
14 and to hear the/this/who king Herod clear for to be the/this/who name it/s/he and (to say *N(k)O*) that/since: that John the/this/who to baptize (to arise *N(k)O*) out from dead and through/because of this/he/she/it be active the/this/who power in/on/among it/s/he
ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹೆಸರು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೆರೋದನಿಗೆ ಈ ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು. “ಈತನು ಸ್ನಾನಿಕನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನನೇ, ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬದುಕಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಈತನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳಿವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು, “ಈತನು ಎಲೀಯನು,” ಎಂದರು. ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವರು, “ಈತನು ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಂತೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾಗಿರಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದರು.

ಆದರೆ ಹೆರೋದನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, “ನಾನು ಶಿರಚ್ಛೇದನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಯೋಹಾನನೇ, ತಿರುಗಿ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯೋಹಾನನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೆರೋದನು ತಾನೇ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದನು. ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಹೆರೋದ್ಯಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು.

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಹೆರೋದನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ನ್ಯಾಯವಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

ಇದರಿಂದ ಹೆರೋದ್ಯಳು ಯೋಹಾನನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಗೆಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
20 the/this/who for Herod to fear the/this/who John to know it/s/he man just and holy and to preserve it/s/he and to hear it/s/he much (be perplexed *N(K)O*) and gladly it/s/he to hear
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯೋಹಾನನು ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಮತ್ತು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಹೆರೋದನು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು. ಯೋಹಾನನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಹೆರೋದನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೂ ಅವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾದ ಸಮಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. ತನ್ನ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನದಂದು ಹೆರೋದನು ತನ್ನ ಉನ್ನತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಿಗೆ ಔತಣವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
22 and to enter the/this/who daughter (it/s/he *N(K)O*) (the/this/who *ko*) Herodias and to dance (and *ko*) (to please *N(k)O*) the/this/who Herod and the/this/who to dine with to say the/this/who (then *o*) king the/this/who girl to ask me which if to will/desire and to give you
ಹೆರೋದ್ಯಳ ಮಗಳು ಒಳಗೆ ಬಂದು ನೃತ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿ, ಹೆರೋದನನ್ನೂ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಅವನ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸಿದಳು. ರಾಜನು ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಗೆ, “ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಕೇಳು, ನಾನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ,

“ನೀನೇನು ಕೇಳಿದರೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧದಷ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಆಕೆ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, “ನಾನು ಏನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, ಆಕೆಯು, “ಸ್ನಾನಿಕನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳು,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟಳು.

ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿ ಅವಸರವಾಗಿ ರಾಜನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು, “ನನಗೆ ಈಗಲೇ ಸ್ನಾನಿಕನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಒಂದು ತಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತರಿಸಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಳು.
26 and sorrowful to be the/this/who king through/because of the/this/who oath and the/this/who (to recline *N(K)O*) no to will/desire to reject it/s/he
ಇದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ದುಃಖವಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭೋಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕೋರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
27 and immediately to send the/this/who king executioner to command (to bear/lead *N(k)O*) the/this/who head it/s/he (the/this/who *k*) (and *N(k)O*) to go away to behead it/s/he in/on/among the/this/who prison/watch: prison
ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅರಸನು ಯೋಹಾನನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ತರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒಬ್ಬ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಯೋಹಾನನ ಶಿರಚ್ಛೇದನ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
28 and to bear/lead the/this/who head it/s/he upon/to/against platter and to give it/s/he the/this/who girl and the/this/who girl to give it/s/he the/this/who mother it/s/he
ಅವನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆಕೆಯು ಅದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು.
29 and to hear the/this/who disciple it/s/he to come/go and to take up the/this/who corpse it/s/he and to place it/s/he in/on/among (the/this/who *k*) grave
ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯೋಹಾನನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟರು.
30 and to assemble the/this/who apostle to/with the/this/who Jesus and to announce it/s/he all (and *k*) just as/how much to do/make: do and just as/how much to teach
ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತಾವು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವರದಿಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಬಹಳ ಜನರು ಎಡೆಬಿಡದೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮಯವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಏಕಾಂತವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಆಗ ಅವರು ದೋಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕಾಂತ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.
33 and to perceive: see it/s/he to go (the/this/who crowd *K*) and (to come to know *NK(O)*) (it/s/he *k*) much and on foot away from all the/this/who city to flock there and to go before it/s/he (and to assemble to/with it/s/he *K*)
ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಹೋಗುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಅನೇಕರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಊರುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಲ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಿ ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದರು.
34 and to go out to perceive: see (the/this/who Jesus *k*) much crowd and to pity upon/to/against (it/s/he *N(k)O*) that/since: since to be as/when sheep not to have/be shepherd and be first to teach it/s/he much
ಯೇಸು ದೋಣಿಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದಾಗ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜನಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಕುರುಬನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕುರಿಗಳಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಬೋಧಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.

ಅಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಸಂಜೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಇದು ನಿರ್ಜನಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಈಗಲೇ ಹೊತ್ತು ಮೀರಿದೆ,
36 to release: release it/s/he in order that/to to go away toward the/this/who surrounding field and village to buy themself which? (bread for *K*) to eat (no to have/be *K*)
ಈ ಜನರು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಿನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಏನಾದರೂ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಇವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
37 the/this/who then to answer to say it/s/he to give it/s/he you to eat and to say it/s/he to go away to buy denarius two hundred bread and (to give *N(k)O*) it/s/he to eat
ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು, “ನೀವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಕೊಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು. ಶಿಷ್ಯರು, “ನಾವು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಸಂಬಳದಷ್ಟು ಖರ್ಚುಮಾಡಿ, ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಬೇಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳಿವೆ? ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ, “ಐದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡು ಮೀನುಗಳಿವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಹಸಿರು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾಲುಸಾಲಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಯೇಸು ಆ ಐದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಎರಡು ಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಪರಲೋಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡಿ, ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಮುರಿದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚುವಂತೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಎರಡು ಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನು ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಸಿದರು.

ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಿಂದು ತೃಪ್ತರಾದರು.

ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಉಳಿದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೀನಿನ ತುಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಲು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಬುಟ್ಟಿ ತುಂಬಿದವು.

ಊಟಮಾಡಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿ ಗಂಡಸರಿದ್ದರು.

ಇದಾದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಯೇಸು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ತಮಗಿಂತ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಬೇತ್ಸಾಯಿದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಯೇಸು ಜನಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಲು ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.

ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ, ದೋಣಿಯು ಸರೋವರದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು. ಯೇಸು ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರೇ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಎದುರುಗಾಳಿ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಬೀಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು ದಣಿದು ಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ಕಂಡು, ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರು ಗಂಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸರೋವರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದರು. ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವುದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.

ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಸರೋವರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ, ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಭೂತವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ, ಕಿರುಚಿದರು.

ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ದಿಗಿಲುಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರಿ, ನಾನೇ! ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.

ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲು ಗಾಳಿ ನಿಂತುಹೋಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಬಹು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಗೊಂಡರು.

ಅವರು ಸರೋವರವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ, ಗೆನೆಜರೇತ್ ಸೀಮೆಯ ದಡ ಸೇರಿದರು.

ಅವರು ದೋಣಿಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಜನರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಗುರುತು ಹಿಡಿದರು.

ಯೇಸು ಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದರೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ರೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದು ಪೇಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು, ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಉಡುಪಿನ ಅಂಚನ್ನಾದರೂ ಮುಟ್ಟಗೊಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಗುಣಹೊಂದಿದರು.
