Il commença de nouveau à enseigner auprès de la mer; et une grande multitude se rassembla autour de lui, de sorte que, montant dans la barque, il se tenait sur la mer, et toute la multitude était à terre le long du rivage.

Et il leur enseignait beaucoup de choses en paraboles, et leur disait dans son enseignement:

Ecoutez, voilà que celui qui sème est sorti pour semer.

Et, pendant qu’il semait, une partie de la semence tomba le long du chemin, et les oiseaux du ciel vinrent, et la mangèrent.

Et quand le soleil se leva, elle fut brûlée; et comme elle n’avait point de racine, elle sécha.

Une autre partie tomba parmi les épines; et les épines grandirent et l’étouffèrent: et elle ne donna point de fruit.

Mais une autre tomba dans une bonne terre, et donna du fruit qui s’éleva et se multiplia; en sorte qu’un grain rendait trente, l’autre soixante, l’autre cent.

Et il disait: Que celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre, entende.

Et il leur disait: C’est à vous qu’il a été donné de connaître le mystère du royaume de Dieu; mais pour ceux qui sont dehors, tout se fait en paraboles,

Afin que voyant ils voient et ne voient point, et qu’entendant ils entendent et ne comprennent point; de peur qu’ils ne se convertissent, et que leurs péchés ne leur soient remis.

Puis il leur dit: Vous ne comprenez point cette parabole? Et comment donc comprendrez-vous toutes les autres paraboles?

Celui qui sème, sème la parole.

Ceux qui se trouvent le long du chemin où la parole est semée, ce sont ceux qui ne l’ont pas plutôt entendue, que Satan vient et enlève cette parole qui a été semée dans leurs cœurs.

Et pareillement ceux qui ont reçu la semence en des endroits pierreux, sont ceux qui, entendant la parole, la reçoivent d’abord avec joie;

Mais n’ayant point de racine en eux, ils n’ont qu’un temps; après quoi la tribulation et la persécution survenant à cause de la parole, ils se scandalisent aussitôt.

Et les autres qui reçoivent la semence parmi les épines, sont ceux qui écoutent la parole;
19 and the/this/who concern the/this/who (an age: age *NK(O)*) (this/he/she/it *k*) and the/this/who deceit the/this/who riches and the/this/who about the/this/who remaining desire to enter to choke the/this/who word and unfruitful to be (aiōn g165)
Mais les soucis du siècle et l’illusion des richesses, et toutes les autres convoitises entrant en eux, étouffent la parole et la rendent sans fruit. (aiōn g165)

Enfin ceux qui ont reçu la semence dans la bonne terre, sont ceux qui écoutent la parole et la reçoivent, et produisent du fruit, l’un trente, l’autre soixante, et l’autre cent.

Car il n’y a rien de caché qui ne soit manifesté, ni rien de fait en secret qui ne vienne au grand jour.

Si quelqu’un a des oreilles pour entendre, qu’il entende.

Il leur disait encore: Prenez garde à ce que vous entendez. La mesure dont vous aurez usé pour les autres, on en usera pour vous, et en y ajoutant.

Il disait aussi: Il en est du royaume de Dieu comme d’un homme qui jette de la semence en terre.

Qu’il dorme, qu’il se lève de nuit et de jour, la semence germe et croît sans qu’il sache comment.

Car c’est d’elle-même que la terre produit du fruit; d’abord de l’herbe, puis un épi, et ensuite du blé tout formé dans l’épi.

Et quand le fruit est en maturité, aussitôt on y met la faux, parce que c’est le temps de la moisson.

Il disait encore: À quoi comparerons-nous le royaume de Dieu? ou sous quelle parabole le représenterons-nous?

Il est comme un grain de sénevé qui, lorsqu’on le sème, est la plus petite de toutes les semences qui sont dans la terre.

Et quand on l’a semé, il monte et devient plus grand que toutes les plantes, et pousse de si grands rameaux, que les oiseaux du ciel peuvent se reposer sous son ombre.

Ainsi, c’est par beaucoup de semblables paraboles qu’il leur annonçait la parole, selon qu’ils pouvaient l’entendre

Car il ne leur parlait point sans paraboles; mais en particulier il expliquait tout à ses disciples.

Or il leur dit ce jour-là, lorsque le soir fut venu: Passons à l’autre bord.

Et ayant renvoyé le peuple, ils l’emmenèrent sur la barque où il était; et d’autres barques l’accompagnaient.

Mais il s’éleva un grand tourbillon de vent, qui poussait les flots dans la barque, de sorte que la barque s’emplissait.

Jésus cependant était à la poupe, dormant sur un oreiller; et ils le réveillèrent et lui dirent: Maître, n’avez-vous point de souci que nous périssions?

Alors se levant, il menaça le vent, et dit à la mer: Silence, calme-toi. Et le vent cessa, et il se fit un grand calme.

Et il leur dit: Pourquoi êtes-vous timides? N’avez-vous point encore la foi? Et ils furent saisis d’une grande crainte, et ils se disaient l’un à l’autre: Qui pensez-vous est celui-ci, que et le vent et la mer lui obéissent?
