Potem synowie Izraela czynili to, co złe w oczach PANA. Wydał ich więc PAN w ręce Midianitów na siedem lat.

Bywało, że gdy Izrael coś zasiał, przychodzili Midianici, Amalekici i ludzie ze wschodu i najeżdżali go;

I rozbijali obóz naprzeciwko niego, i niszczyli plony ziemi aż po granice Gazy. Nie pozostawiali nic na pożywienie Izraelitom – ani owiec, ani wołów, ani osłów.

Przybywali bowiem ze swymi stadami i namiotami, a przychodzili jak szarańcza tak licznie, że nie można było zliczyć ich ani ich wielbłądów. Tak wkraczali do ziemi, aby ją spustoszyć.

Dlatego Izrael bardzo zubożał z powodu Midianitów i synowie Izraela wołali do PANA.

A gdy synowie Izraela wołali do PANA z powodu Midianitów;

PAN posłał do synów Izraela proroka, który powiedział do nich: Tak mówi PAN, Bóg Izraela: Ja wyprowadziłem was z ziemi Egiptu i wywiodłem was z domu niewoli.

I wyrwałem was z rąk Egipcjan oraz z rąk wszystkich, którzy was trapili. Wypędziłem ich przed wami i dałem wam ich ziemię;

I powiedziałem wam: Ja jestem PAN, wasz Bóg, nie bójcie się bogów Amorytów, w których ziemi mieszkacie; lecz nie posłuchaliście mego głosu.
11 and to come (in): come messenger: angel LORD and to dwell underneath: under [the] oak which in/on/with Ophrah which to/for Joash Abiezrite [the] Abiezrite and Gideon son: child his to beat wheat in/on/with wine press to/for to flee from face of Midian
Wtedy przyszedł Anioł PANA i stanął pod dębem, który stał w Ofra, należącym do Joasza, Abiezerita. A jego syn Gedeon młócił zboże w tłoczni, aby [je] ukryć przed Midianitami.
12 and to see: seer to(wards) him messenger: angel LORD and to say to(wards) him LORD with you mighty man [the] strength
Wówczas ukazał mu się Anioł PANA i powiedział do niego: PAN z tobą, dzielny wojowniku.
13 and to say to(wards) him Gideon please lord my and there LORD with us and to/for what? to find us all this and where? all to wonder his which to recount to/for us father our to/for to say not from Egypt to ascend: establish us LORD and now to leave us LORD and to give: give us in/on/with palm Midian
Gedeon mu odpowiedział: Mój Panie, proszę, jeśli PAN jest z nami, dlaczego przyszło na nas to wszystko? Gdzie są teraz wszystkie jego cuda, o których opowiadali nam nasi ojcowie, mówiąc: Czy PAN nie wyprowadził nas z Egiptu? A teraz PAN nas opuścił i wydał w ręce Midianitów.

Wtedy PAN spojrzał na niego i powiedział: Idź w tej swojej mocy, a wybawisz Izraela z rąk Midianitów. Czyż nie ja cię posłałem?
15 and to say to(wards) him please Lord in/on/with what? to save [obj] Israel behold thousand: clan my [the] poor in/on/with Manasseh and I [the] little in/on/with house: household father my
[On] zaś powiedział do niego: Mój Panie, proszę, czym wybawię Izraela? Oto moja rodzina jest biedna w Manassesa, a ja [jestem] najmniejszy w domu swego ojca.
16 and to say to(wards) him LORD for to be with you and to smite [obj] Midian like/as man one
I PAN powiedział do niego: Ponieważ [ja] będę z tobą, pobijesz Midianitów jak jednego męża.
17 and to say to(wards) him if please to find favor in/on/with eye your and to make: do to/for me sign: miraculous which/that you(m. s.) to speak: speak with me
A [on] mu odpowiedział: Jeśli znalazłem łaskę w twoich oczach, daj mi znak, że to ty rozmawiasz ze mną.

Nie odchodź stąd, proszę, aż wrócę do ciebie i przyniosę ci swoją ofiarę i położę ją przed tobą. I odpowiedział: Poczekam, aż wrócisz.
19 and Gideon to come (in): come and to make: offer kid goat and ephah flour unleavened bread [the] flesh to set: put in/on/with basket and [the] broth to set: put in/on/with pot and to come out: send to(wards) him to(wards) underneath: under [the] oak and to approach: bring
Gedeon poszedł więc i przyrządził koźlę oraz przaśne chleby z jednej efy mąki. Mięso włożył do kosza, a polewkę mięsną wlał do garnka i przyniósł to do niego pod dąb, i ofiarował.

I Anioł Boga powiedział do niego: Weź mięso i przaśne chleby i połóż na tej skale, a polewkę wylej. I tak uczynił.
21 and to send: reach messenger: angel LORD [obj] end [the] staff which in/on/with hand his and to touch in/on/with flesh and in/on/with unleavened bread and to ascend: rise [the] fire from [the] rock and to eat [obj] [the] flesh and [obj] [the] unleavened bread and messenger: angel LORD to go: went from eye: seeing his
Wtedy Anioł PANA wyciągnął koniec laski, którą miał w ręce, i dotknął mięsa oraz przaśników; i wydobył się ogień ze skały i strawił mięso i przaśne chleby. Potem Anioł PANA zniknął sprzed jego oczu.

A gdy Gedeon zrozumiał, że to był Anioł PANA, powiedział: Ach, Panie BOŻE! Widziałem bowiem Anioła PANA twarzą w twarz.

I PAN mu powiedział: Pokój z tobą. Nie bój się, nie umrzesz.
24 and to build there Gideon altar to/for LORD and to call: call by to/for him LORD Peace till [the] day: today [the] this still he in/on/with Ophrah Abiezrite [the] Abiezrite

A zbuduj ołtarz dla PANA, swego Boga, na szczycie tej skały, na równym miejscu; weź tego drugiego cielca i złóż z niego całopalenie na drwach z gaju, który zetniesz.
27 and to take: take Gideon ten human from servant/slave his and to make: do like/as as which to speak: speak to(wards) him LORD and to be like/as as which to fear [obj] house: household father his and [obj] human [the] city from to make: do by day and to make: do night
Wziął więc Gedeon dziesięciu mężczyzn spośród swoich sług i uczynił tak, jak PAN mu rozkazał. A ponieważ bał się domu swego ojca i mieszkańców miasta, nie uczynił tego za dnia, lecz uczynił to w nocy.

31 and to say Joash to/for all which to stand: stand upon him you(m. p.) to contend [emph?] to/for Baal if you(m. p.) to save [emph?] [obj] him which to contend to/for him to die till [the] morning if God he/she/it to contend to/for him for to tear [obj] altar his
A Joasz odpowiedział wszystkim, którzy stali dokoła niego: Czy chcecie stawać w obronie Baala? Czy chcecie go wybawić? Kto chciałby go bronić, niech umrze tego ranka. Jeśli jest bogiem, niech sam się spiera o to, że zburzono jego ołtarz.

I nazwano go tego dnia Jerubbaal, mówiąc: Niech Baal się spiera z nim, bo zburzył on jego ołtarz.
33 and all Midian and Amalek and son: descendant/people East to gather together and to pass and to camp in/on/with Valley (of Jezreel) (Valley of) Jezreel
Wtedy wszyscy Midianici i Amalekici oraz ludzie ze wschodu zebrali się razem, przeprawili się [przez Jordan] i rozbili obóz w dolinie Jizreel.
34 and spirit LORD to clothe [obj] Gideon and to blow in/on/with trumpet (and to cry out *L(abh)*) Abiezer after him
Lecz Duch PANA ogarnął Gedeona, a on zadął w trąbę i zwołał do siebie dom Abiezera.
35 and messenger to send: depart in/on/with all Manasseh (and to cry out *L(abh)*) also he/she/it after him and messenger to send: depart in/on/with Asher and in/on/with Zebulun and in/on/with Naphtali and to ascend: rise to/for to encounter: meet them
I wyprawił posłańców do całego [pokolenia] Manassesa, które zebrało się przy nim. Wysłał też posłańców do Aszera, do Zebulona i Neftalego; i wyruszyli im na spotkanie.

To ja położę runo wełny na klepisku. Jeśli rosa spadnie tylko na runo, a cała ziemia [będzie] sucha, wtedy będę wiedział, że moją ręką wybawisz Izraela, jak powiedziałeś.
38 and to be so and to rise from morrow and to crush [obj] [the] fleece and to drain dew from [the] fleece fullness [the] bowl water
I tak się stało. Gdy wstał nazajutrz, ścisnął runo i wycisnął rosę z runa – pełną czaszę wody.
39 and to say Gideon to(wards) [the] God not to be incensed face: anger your in/on/with me and to speak: speak surely [the] beat to test please except [the] beat in/on/with fleece to be please drought to(wards) [the] fleece to/for alone her and upon all [the] land: soil to be dew
Gedeon powiedział jeszcze do Boga: Niech nie zapłonie twój gniew przeciwko mnie, że przemówię jeszcze raz. Pozwól, proszę, że powtórzę doświadczenie z runem: niech będzie suche tylko [samo] runo, a na całej ziemi niech będzie rosa.

I Bóg tak uczynił tej nocy: samo runo było suche, a na całej ziemi była rosa.
