Judges 19
1 and to be in/on/with day [the] they(masc.) and king nothing in/on/with Israel and to be man Levi to sojourn in/on/with flank mountain: hill country Ephraim and to take: take to/for him woman: wife concubine from Bethlehem Bethlehem Judah
Dans ce temps, alors qu’il n’y avait pas de roi en Israël, un Lévite, qui séjournait à l’extrémité de la montagne d’Éphraïm, prit pour concubine une femme de Bethléem de Juda.
2 and to fornicate upon him concubine his and to go: went from with him to(wards) house: home father her to(wards) Bethlehem Bethlehem Judah and to be there day four month
Sa concubine lui fut infidèle, et elle le quitta pour aller dans la maison de son père à Bethléem de Juda, où elle resta l’espace de quatre mois.
3 and to arise: rise man: husband her and to go: went after her to/for to speak: speak upon heart her (to/for to return: rescue her *Q(K)*) and youth his with him and pair donkey and to come (in): bring him house: home father her and to see: see him father [the] maiden and to rejoice to/for to encounter: meet him
Son mari se leva et alla vers elle, pour parler à son cœur et la ramener à lui; il avait avec lui son serviteur et deux ânes. Elle le fit entrer dans la maison de son père; et quand le père de la jeune femme le vit, il alla avec joie au-devant de lui.
4 and to strengthen: hold in/on/with him relative his father [the] maiden and to dwell with him three day and to eat and to drink and to lodge there
Son beau-père, le père de la jeune femme, le retint, et il demeura chez lui trois jours; ils mangèrent et burent, et ils y séjournèrent.
5 and to be in/on/with day [the] fourth and to rise in/on/with morning and to arise: rise to/for to go: went and to say father [the] maiden to(wards) son-in-law his to support heart your morsel food: bread and after to go: went
Le quatrième jour, ils se levèrent de bon matin et le Lévite se disposait à partir. Mais le père de la jeune femme dit à son gendre: « Fortifie ton cœur en prenant un morceau de pain, et vous partirez ensuite. »
6 and to dwell and to eat two their together and to drink and to say father [the] maiden to(wards) [the] man be willing please and to lodge and be good heart your
S’étant assis, ils mangèrent tous deux ensemble et burent. Puis le père de la jeune femme dit au mari: « Consens, je te prie, à passer la nuit, et que ton cœur se réjouisse. »
7 and to arise: rise [the] man to/for to go: went and to press in/on/with him relative his and to return: again and to lodge there
Le mari se leva pour s’en aller; mais, sur les instances de son beau-père, il revint et y passa encore la nuit.
8 and to rise in/on/with morning in/on/with day [the] fifth to/for to go: went and to say father [the] maiden to support please heart your and to delay till to stretch [the] day and to eat two their
Le cinquième jour, il se leva de bon matin pour partir. Alors le père de la jeune femme dit: « Fortifie ton cœur, je te prie, et diffère jusqu’au déclin du jour. » Et ils mangèrent tous deux.
9 and to arise: rise [the] man to/for to go: went he/she/it and concubine his and youth his and to say to/for him relative his father [the] maiden behold please to slacken [the] day to/for to grow dark to lodge please behold to camp [the] day to lodge here and be good heart your and to rise tomorrow to/for way: journey your and to go: went to/for tent: home your
Le mari se levait pour s’en aller, lui, sa concubine et son serviteur; mais son beau-père, le père de la jeune femme, lui dit: « Voici, le jour s’incline vers le soir; je vous prie, passez donc ici la nuit; voici que le jour baisse, passe ici la nuit, et que ton cœur se réjouisse; demain vous vous lèverez de bon matin pour vous mettre en route, et tu t’en iras à ta tente. »
10 and not be willing [the] man to/for to lodge and to arise: rise and to go: went and to come (in): come till before Jebus he/she/it Jerusalem and with him pair donkey to saddle/tie and concubine his with him
Le mari ne consentit pas à passer la nuit; il se leva et partit. Il vint jusqu’en face de Jébus, qui est Jérusalem, ayant avec lui les deux ânes bâtés et sa concubine.
11 they(masc.) with Jebus and [the] day to go down much and to say [the] youth to(wards) lord his to go: come! [emph?] please and to turn aside: turn aside to(wards) city [the] Jebusite [the] this and to lodge in/on/with her
Lorsqu’ils furent près de Jébus, le jour avait beaucoup baissé. Le serviteur dit alors à son maître: « Viens, je te prie, détournons-nous vers cette ville des Jébuséens, et nous y passerons la nuit. »
12 and to say to(wards) him lord his not to turn aside: turn aside to(wards) city foreign which not from son: descendant/people Israel they(fem.) and to pass till Gibeah
Son maître lui répondit: « Nous ne nous détournerons pas vers une ville étrangère, où il n’y a pas d’enfants d’Israël; nous passerons jusqu’à Gabaa. »
13 and to say to/for youth his (to go: follow [emph?] *Q(K)*) and to present: come in/on/with one [the] place and to lodge in/on/with Gibeah or in/on/with Ramah
il dit encore à son serviteur: « Allons, tâchons d’atteindre l’une de ces localités pour y passer la nuit, Gabaa ou Rama. »
14 and to pass and to go: went and to come (in): come to/for them [the] sun beside [the] Gibeah which to/for Benjamin
Ils continuèrent à marcher, et le soleil se coucha lorsqu’ils furent près de Gabaa, qui appartient à Benjamin.
15 and to turn aside: turn aside there to/for to come (in): come to/for to lodge in/on/with Gibeah and to come (in): come and to dwell in/on/with street/plaza [the] city and nothing man: anyone to gather [obj] them [the] house: home [to] to/for to lodge
Ils se détournèrent de ce côté, pour aller passer la nuit à Gabaa. Le Lévite, étant entré, s’arrêta sur la place de la ville, et il n’y eut personne qui les reçut dans sa maison pour y passer la nuit.
16 and behold man old to come (in): come from deed: work his from [the] land: country in/on/with evening and [the] man from mountain: hill country Ephraim and he/she/it to sojourn in/on/with Gibeah and human [the] place Benjaminite Benjaminite
Mais voici qu’un vieillard revenait le soir de travailler aux champs; c’était un homme de la montagne d’Ephraïm, qui séjournait à Gabaa, et les gens du lieu étaient Benjamites.
17 and to lift: look eye his and to see: see [obj] [the] man [the] to journey in/on/with street/plaza [the] city and to say [the] man [the] old where? to go: went and from where? to come (in): come
Ayant levé les yeux, il vit le voyageur sur la place de la ville, et le vieillard dit: « Où vas-tu et d’où viens-tu? »
18 and to say to(wards) him to pass we from Bethlehem Bethlehem Judah till flank mountain: hill country Ephraim from there I and to go: went till Bethlehem Bethlehem Judah and [obj] house: temple LORD I to go: went and nothing man: anyone to gather [obj] me [the] house: home [to]
Il lui répondit: « Nous allons de Bethléem de Juda jusqu’à l’extrémité de la montagne d’Ephraïm, d’où je suis. J’étais allé à Bethléem de Juda, et maintenant je vais à la maison de Yahweh, et il n’y a personne qui me reçoive dans sa maison.
19 and also straw also fodder there to/for donkey our and also food: bread and wine there to/for me and to/for maidservant your and to/for youth with servant/slave your nothing need all word: thing
Nous avons cependant de la paille et du fourrage pour nos ânes, et aussi du pain et du vin pour moi, pour ta servante et pour le jeune homme qui est avec tes serviteurs; nous ne manquons de rien. »
20 and to say [the] man [the] old peace to/for you except all need your upon me except in/on/with street/plaza not to lodge
Le vieillard dit: « La paix soit avec toi! Seulement je pourvoirai à tous tes besoins; mais ne passe pas la nuit sur la place. »
21 and to come (in): bring him to/for house: home his (and to feed *Q(k)*) to/for donkey and to wash: wash foot their and to eat and to drink
Il le fit entrer dans sa maison, et il donna du fourrage aux ânes; les voyageurs se lavèrent les pieds, puis ils mangèrent et burent.
22 they(masc.) be good [obj] heart their and behold human [the] city human son: young animal Belial to turn: surround [obj] [the] house: home to beat upon [the] door and to say to(wards) [the] man master: men [the] house: home [the] old to/for to say to come out: send [obj] [the] man which to come (in): come to(wards) house: home your and to know him
Pendant qu’ils réjouissaient leur cœur, voici, que des hommes de la ville, gens pervers, entourèrent la maison et, frappant avec force à la porte, ils dirent au vieillard, maître de la maison: « Fais sortir l’homme qui est entré chez toi, afin que nous le connaissions. »
23 and to come out: come to(wards) them [the] man master [the] house: home and to say to(wards) them not brother: compatriot my not be evil please after which to come (in): come [the] man [the] this to(wards) house: home my not to make: do [obj] [the] folly [the] this
Le maître de la maison sortit vers eux et leur dit: « Non, mes frères, ne faites pas le mal, je vous prie; puisque cet homme est entré dans ma maison, ne commettez pas cette infamie.
24 behold daughter my [the] virgin and concubine his to come out: send please [obj] them and to afflict [obj] them and to make: do to/for them [the] pleasant in/on/with eye: appearance your and to/for man [the] this not to make: do word: thing [the] folly [the] this
Voici ma fille qui est vierge, et sa concubine; je vous les amènerai dehors, vous leur ferez violence et vous les traiterez comme il vous plaira; mais ne commettez pas sur cet homme une action aussi infâme. »
25 and not be willing [the] human to/for to hear: hear to/for him and to strengthen: hold [the] man in/on/with concubine his and to come out: come to(wards) them [the] outside and to know [obj] her and to abuse in/on/with her all [the] night till [the] morning and to send: let go her (like/as to ascend: dawn *Q(K)*) [the] dawn
Ces hommes ne voulurent pas l’écouter. Alors l’homme prit sa concubine et la leur amena dehors. Ils la connurent et ils abusèrent d’elle toute la nuit jusqu’au matin, et ils la renvoyèrent au lever de l’aurore.
26 and to come (in): come [the] woman to/for to turn [the] morning and to fall: kill entrance house: home [the] man which lord her there till [the] light
Vers le matin, cette femme vint tomber à l’entrée de la maison de l’homme chez qui était son mari, et elle resta là jusqu’au jour.
27 and to arise: rise lord her in/on/with morning and to open door [the] house: home and to come out: come to/for to go: went to/for way: journey his and behold [the] woman concubine his to fall: kill entrance [the] house: home and hand her upon [the] threshold
Son mari se leva le matin et, ayant ouvert la porte de la maison, il sortit pour continuer sa route. Et voici que la femme, sa concubine, était étendue à l’entrée de la maison, les mains sur le seuil.
28 and to say to(wards) her to arise: rise and to go: went and nothing to answer and to take: bring her upon [the] donkey and to arise: rise [the] man and to go: went to/for place his
Il lui dit: « Lève-toi et allons-nous-en. » Et personne ne répondit. Alors le mari la mit sur son âne et partit pour aller dans sa demeure.
29 and to come (in): come to(wards) house: home his and to take: take [obj] [the] knife and to strengthen: hold in/on/with concubine his and to cut her to/for bone her to/for two ten piece and to send: depart her in/on/with all border: area Israel
Arrivé chez lui, il prit un couteau et, saisissant sa concubine, il la coupa membre par membre en douze morceaux, et l’envoya dans tout le territoire d’Israël.
30 and to be all [the] to see: see and to say not to be and not to see: see like/as this to/for from day to ascend: rise son: descendant/people Israel from land: country/planet Egypt till [the] day: today [the] this to set: consider to/for you upon her to plan and to speak: speak
Tous ceux qui virent cela dirent: « Jamais chose pareille n’est arrivée et ne s’est vue depuis que les enfants d’Israël sont montés du pays d’Égypte jusqu’à ce jour; réfléchissez-y, consultez-vous et prononcez. »
