Joshua 9
1 and to be like/as to hear: hear all [the] king which in/on/with side: beyond [the] Jordan in/on/with mountain: mount and in/on/with Shephelah and in/on/with all coast [the] sea [the] Great (Sea) to(wards) opposite [the] Lebanon [the] Hittite and [the] Amorite [the] Canaanite [the] Perizzite [the] Hivite and [the] Jebusite
Et il arriva que, lorsque tous les rois qui étaient en deçà du Jourdain, dans la montagne et dans le pays plat, et sur tout le rivage de la grande mer, jusque vers le Liban, le Héthien, et l’Amoréen, le Cananéen, le Phérézien, le Hévien, et le Jébusien, eurent entendu [ces choses],
2 and to gather together to/for to fight with Joshua and with Israel lip one
ils se réunirent ensemble pour faire la guerre à Josué et à Israël, d’un commun accord.
3 and to dwell Gibeon to hear: hear [obj] which to make: do Joshua to/for Jericho and to/for Ai
Et les habitants de Gabaon entendirent ce que Josué avait fait à Jéricho et à Aï;
4 and to make: do also they(masc.) in/on/with craftiness and to go: went and to take provision and to take: take sackcloth old to/for donkey their and wineskin wine old and to break up/open and to constrain
et ils usèrent de ruse, eux aussi; et ils se mirent en route, préparés comme pour un voyage, et prirent de vieux sacs sur leurs ânes, et de vieilles outres à vin crevassées et recousues,
5 and sandal old and to spot in/on/with foot their and garment old upon them and all food: bread food their to wither to be crumb
et de vieilles sandales rapiécées à leurs pieds, et de vieux habits sur eux; et tout le pain de leur provision était sec [et] s’était moisi.
6 and to go: went to(wards) Joshua to(wards) [the] camp [the] Gilgal and to say to(wards) him and to(wards) man Israel from land: country/planet distant to come (in): come and now to cut: make(covenant) to/for us covenant
Et ils allèrent vers Josué, au camp de Guilgal, et ils lui dirent, et aux hommes d’Israël: Nous venons d’un pays éloigné; et maintenant, traitez alliance avec nous.
7 (and to say *Q(K)*) man Israel to(wards) [the] Hivite perhaps in/on/with entrails: among my you(m. s.) to dwell and how? (to cut: make(covenant) *Q(k)*) to/for you covenant
Et les hommes d’Israël dirent au Hévien: Peut-être que tu habites au milieu de nous; et comment traiterions -nous alliance avec toi?
8 and to say to(wards) Joshua servant/slave your we and to say to(wards) them Joshua who? you(m. p.) and from where? to come (in): come
Et ils dirent à Josué: Nous sommes tes serviteurs. Et Josué leur dit: Qui êtes-vous? et d’où venez-vous?
9 and to say to(wards) him from land: country/planet distant much to come (in): come servant/slave your to/for name LORD God your for to hear: hear report his and [obj] all which to make: do in/on/with Egypt
Et ils lui dirent: Tes serviteurs viennent d’un pays très éloigné, au nom de l’Éternel, ton Dieu; car nous avons entendu sa renommée, et tout ce qu’il a fait en Égypte,
10 and [obj] all which to make: do to/for two king [the] Amorite which in/on/with side: beyond [the] Jordan to/for Sihon king Heshbon and to/for Og king [the] Bashan which in/on/with Ashtaroth
et tout ce qu’il a fait aux deux rois des Amoréens qui étaient au-delà du Jourdain, à Sihon, roi de Hesbon, et à Og, roi de Basan, qui était à Ashtaroth.
11 and to say to(wards) us old: elder our and all to dwell land: country/planet our to/for to say to take: take in/on/with hand your provision to/for way: journey and to go: went to/for to encounter: meet them and to say to(wards) them servant/slave your we and now to cut: make(covenant) to/for us covenant
Et nos anciens et tous les habitants de notre pays nous ont parlé, disant: Prenez avec vous des provisions pour la route, et allez au-devant d’eux, et dites-leur: Nous sommes vos serviteurs, et maintenant traitez alliance avec nous.
12 this food: bread our hot to provision [obj] him from house: home our in/on/with day to come out: come we to/for to go: come to(wards) you and now behold to wither and to be crumb
C’est ici notre pain; nous l’avons pris chaud de nos maisons pour notre provision, le jour où nous sommes partis pour venir vers vous; et maintenant, voici, il est sec et s’est moisi.
13 and these wineskin [the] wine which to fill new and behold to break up/open and these garment our and sandal our to become old from abundance [the] way: journey much
Et ce sont ici les outres à vin que nous avions remplies neuves; et voici, elles se sont crevassées; et ce sont ici nos habits et nos sandales qui sont vieillis à cause de la grande longueur de la route.
14 and to take: take [the] human from food their and [obj] lip: word LORD not to ask
Et les hommes [d’Israël] prirent de leurs provisions; et on n’interrogea point la bouche de l’Éternel.
15 and to make to/for them Joshua peace and to cut: make(covenant) to/for them covenant to/for to live them and to swear to/for them leader [the] congregation
Et Josué fit la paix avec eux, et traita alliance avec eux, pour les laisser vivre; et les princes de l’assemblée s’obligèrent envers eux par serment.
16 and to be from end three day after which to cut: make(covenant) to/for them covenant and to hear: hear for near they(masc.) to(wards) him and in/on/with entrails: among his they(masc.) to dwell
Et il arriva qu’au bout de trois jours, après avoir traité alliance avec eux, ils entendirent qu’ils étaient leurs voisins, et qu’ils habitaient au milieu d’eux.
17 and to set out son: descendant/people Israel and to come (in): come to(wards) city their in/on/with day [the] third and city their Gibeon and [the] Chephirah and Beeroth and Kiriath-jearim Kiriath-jearim
Et les fils d’Israël partirent, et vinrent à leurs villes, le troisième jour. Et leurs villes étaient Gabaon, et Kephira, et Beéroth, et Kiriath-Jéarim.
18 and not to smite them son: descendant/people Israel for to swear to/for them leader [the] congregation in/on/with LORD God Israel and to grumble all [the] congregation upon [the] leader
Et les fils d’Israël ne les frappèrent point, car les princes de l’assemblée s’étaient obligés envers eux par serment au nom de l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël; et toute l’assemblée murmura contre les princes.
19 and to say all [the] leader to(wards) all [the] congregation we to swear to/for them in/on/with LORD God Israel and now not be able to/for to touch in/on/with them
Et tous les princes dirent à toute l’assemblée: Nous nous sommes obligés envers eux par serment au nom de l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël; et maintenant, nous ne pouvons pas les toucher.
20 this to make: do to/for them and to live [obj] them and not to be upon us wrath upon [the] oath which to swear to/for them
Faisons-leur ceci, et laissons-les vivre, et il n’y aura point de colère sur nous à cause de notre serment.
21 and to say to(wards) them [the] leader to live and to be to chop tree: wood and to draw water to/for all [the] congregation like/as as which to speak: speak to/for them [the] leader
Et les princes leur dirent: Qu’ils vivent. Et ils furent coupeurs de bois et puiseurs d’eau pour toute l’assemblée, comme les princes avaient dit à leur égard.
22 and to call: call to to/for them Joshua and to speak: speak to(wards) them to/for to say to/for what? to deceive [obj] us to/for to say distant we from you much and you(m. p.) in/on/with entrails: among our to dwell
Et Josué les appela, et leur parla, disant: Pourquoi nous avez-vous trompés, en disant: Nous sommes très éloignés de vous, tandis que vous habitez au milieu de nous?
23 and now to curse you(m. p.) and not to cut: cut from you servant/slave and to chop tree: wood and to draw water to/for house: temple God my
Or maintenant, vous êtes maudits, et vous ne cesserez jamais d’être serviteurs, coupeurs de bois et puiseurs d’eau pour la maison de mon Dieu.
24 and to answer [obj] Joshua and to say for to tell to tell to/for servant/slave your [obj] which to command LORD God your [obj] Moses servant/slave his to/for to give: give to/for you [obj] all [the] land: country/planet and to/for to destroy [obj] all to dwell [the] land: country/planet from face: before your and to fear much to/for soul: life our from face: because your and to make: do [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this
Et ils répondirent à Josué, et dirent: Parce qu’il a été clairement déclaré à tes serviteurs, que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, avait commandé à Moïse, son serviteur, de vous donner tout le pays et d’exterminer tous les habitants du pays devant vous; et nous avons beaucoup craint pour nos vies à cause de vous, et nous avons fait cela.
25 and now look! we in/on/with hand: power your like/as pleasant and like/as upright in/on/with eye: seeing your to/for to make: do to/for us to make: do
Et maintenant nous voici en ta main; fais comme il est bon et droit à tes yeux de nous faire.
26 and to make: do to/for them so and to rescue [obj] them from hand: power son: descendant/people Israel and not to kill them
Et il leur fit ainsi, et les sauva de la main des fils d’Israël; et ils ne les tuèrent pas.
27 and to give: make them Joshua in/on/with day: today [the] he/she/it to chop tree: wood and to draw water to/for congregation and to/for altar LORD till [the] day: today [the] this to(wards) [the] place which to choose
Et en ce jour-là Josué les établit coupeurs de bois et puiseurs d’eau pour l’assemblée et pour l’autel de l’Éternel, jusqu’à ce jour, dans le lieu qu’il choisirait.
