Joshua 4

Lorsque tout le peuple eut achevé de franchir le Jourdain, le Seigneur parla à Josué, disant:
2 to take: take to/for you from [the] people two ten human man one man one from tribe
Prends douze hommes parmi le peuple, un de chaque tribu.
3 and to command [obj] them to/for to say to lift: raise to/for you from this from midst [the] Jordan from station foot [the] priest to establish: establish two ten stone and to pass: bring [obj] them with you and to rest [obj] them in/on/with lodging which to lodge in/on/with him [the] night
Puis, donne-leur cet ordre: Ramassez au milieu du Jourdain douze pierres convenables; transportez-les avec vous, placez-les dans le campement où vous dresserez vos tentes pour cette nuit.

Et Josué, ayant fait venir douze hommes illustres entre les fils d'Israël; un de chaque tribu,
5 and to say to/for them Joshua to pass to/for face: before ark LORD God your to(wards) midst [the] Jordan and to exalt to/for you man: anyone stone one upon shoulder his to/for number tribe son: descendant/people Israel
Leur dit: Descendez, sous mes yeux, devant l'arche du Seigneur, au milieu du Jourdain, et, après avoir pris là chacun une pierre, apportez-la sur vos épaules, selon le nombre des tribus en Israël,

Afin qu'elles soient pour vous un signe immuable et perpétuel; et que quand à l'avenir ton fils t'interrogera, disant: Que signifient pour vous ces pierres?

Tu l'expliques à ton fils, et lui dises: Elles nous rappellent que le Jourdain s'est arrêté devant l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur de toute la terre, lorsqu'elle y a passé; et ces pierres seront un mémorial pour vous, pour les fils d'Israël, jusqu'à la consommation des temps.

Les fils d'Israël exécutèrent ce que le Seigneur avait prescrit à Josué; après avoir pris du milieu du Jourdain douze pierres, comme le Seigneur le prescrivit à Josué, après que les fils d'Israël eurent achevé le passage du fleuve, ils les emportèrent avec eux dans le camp, et les y déposèrent.
9 and two ten stone to arise: establish Joshua in/on/with midst [the] Jordan underneath: stand station foot [the] priest to lift: bear ark [the] covenant and to be there till [the] day [the] this
Et Josué plaça douze autres pierres dans le lit même du fleuve, au lieu où étaient les pieds des prêtres qui transportaient l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur; elles y sont restées jusqu'à ce jour.
10 and [the] priest to lift: bear [the] ark to stand: stand in/on/with midst [the] Jordan till to finish all [the] word: thing which to command LORD [obj] Joshua to/for to speak: speak to(wards) [the] people like/as all which to command Moses [obj] Joshua and to hasten [the] people and to pass
Car les prêtres qui transportaient l'arche de l'alliance se tinrent immobiles dans le Jourdain, jusqu'à ce que Josué eut exécuté tout ce qu'il avait annoncé au peuple, selon l'ordre du Seigneur; or, le peuple tout entier avait franchi le fleuve;
11 and to be like/as as which to finish all [the] people to/for to pass and to pass ark LORD and [the] priest to/for face: before [the] people
Et après que le peuple eut achevé le passage, l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur passa, précédée de ceux qui portaient les pierres.
12 and to pass son: descendant/people Reuben and son: descendant/people Gad and half tribe [the] Manasseh armed to/for face: before son: descendant/people Israel like/as as which to speak: speak to(wards) them Moses
Les fils de Ruben, les fils de Gad et la demi-tribu de Manassé, prêts au combat, avaient passé aussi, en avant des autres fils d'Israël, comme Moïse l'avait prescrit.
13 like/as forty thousand to arm [the] army: war to pass to/for face: before LORD to/for battle to(wards) plain Jericho
Quarante mille combattants de ces tribus traversèrent le fleuve devant le Seigneur, pour combattre sous les murs de Jéricho.
14 in/on/with day [the] he/she/it to magnify LORD [obj] Joshua in/on/with eye: seeing all Israel and to fear: revere [obj] him like/as as which to fear: revere [obj] Moses all day life his
Et ce jour-là, le Seigneur exalta Josué aux yeux de toute la race d'Israël, et ils eurent crainte de lui comme de Moïse, au temps où il vivait.
15 and to say LORD to(wards) Joshua to/for to say
Et le Seigneur parla à Josué, disant:
16 to command [obj] [the] priest to lift: bear ark [the] testimony and to ascend: rise from [the] Jordan
Ordonne aux prêtres qui portent l'arche du témoignage et de l'alliance, de sortir du Jourdain.
17 and to command Joshua [obj] [the] priest to/for to say to ascend: rise from [the] Jordan
Et Josué commanda aux prêtres, disant: Sortez du Jourdain.
18 and to be (like/as to ascend: rise *Q(K)*) [the] priest to lift: bear ark covenant LORD from midst [the] Jordan to tear palm: sole foot [the] priest to(wards) [the] dry ground and to return: return water [the] Jordan to/for place their and to go: walk like/as yesterday three days ago upon all bank his
Aussitôt que les prêtres, qui portaient l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur, eurent quitté le lit du Jourdain et posé leurs pieds sur la rive, l'eau du fleuve reprit impétueusement son cours, et coula à pleins bords, comme auparavant.
19 and [the] people to ascend: rise from [the] Jordan in/on/with ten to/for month [the] first and to camp in/on/with Gilgal in/on/with end east Jericho
Le passage du Jourdain eut lieu le dixième jour du premier mois, et les fils d'Israël campèrent en Galgala, à l'orient de Jéricho.
20 and [obj] two ten [the] stone [the] these which to take: take from [the] Jordan to arise: establish Joshua in/on/with Gilgal
Là, Josué plaça les douze pierres qu'il avait tirées du Jourdain,

Et il dit: Lorsque vos fils vous interrogeront, disant: Que signifient ces pierres?
22 and to know [obj] son: child your to/for to say in/on/with dry land to pass Israel [obj] [the] Jordan [the] this
Apprenez à vos fils qu'Israël a passé le fleuve à pied sec,
23 which to wither LORD God your [obj] water [the] Jordan from face: before your till to pass you like/as as which to make: do LORD God your to/for sea Red (Sea) which to wither from face: before our till to pass we
Et que le Seigneur a desséché son lit devant vous, jusqu'à ce que vous l'eussiez traversé, comme il a desséché devant nous la mer Rouge, jusqu'à ce que nous l'eussions passée.
24 because to know all people [the] land: country/planet [obj] hand: power LORD for strong he/she/it because to fear: revere [obj] LORD God your all [the] day: always
Afin que toutes les nations de la terre sachent que la puissance du Seigneur est irrésistible, et qu'en toutes vos œuvres vous honoriez le Seigneur votre Dieu.
