২“তুমি ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলক কোৱা, বোলে, ‘মই তোমালোকক মোচিৰ দ্ৱাৰাই যি কথা কৈছিলোঁ, সেই বিষয়ে আশ্ৰয় লোৱা নগৰবোৰ নিৰূপণ কৰা৷

৩তোমালোকে ইয়াকে কৰা, যাতে কোনো এজন লোকে যদি অনিচ্ছাকৃত ভাৱে আন এজনক হত্যা কৰে, তেতিয়া তেওঁ সেই ঠাইলৈ গৈ ৰক্ষা পাব পাৰে৷ কোনো এজন লোকে যদি আন কোনো এজন হত্যা কৰা লোকৰ ৰক্তপাতৰ প্ৰতিশোধ ল’ব বিচাৰে, তেতিয়া এই নগৰবোৰেই তেওঁলোকৰ বাবে আশ্ৰয় লোৱা ঠাই হ’ব।

৪সেই জন লোকে সেই নগৰবোৰৰ মাজৰ কোনো এখন নগৰলৈ পলাই গৈ, নগৰৰ দুৱাৰ মুখত থিয় দি যেতিয়া তেওঁৰ সেই অভিযোগ সেই নগৰৰ বৃদ্ধ লোক সকলৰ আগত বুজাই ক’ব; তেতিয়া তেখেতসকলে তেওঁক নগৰলৈ লৈ গৈ তেওঁক তেখেতসকলৰ মাজত বাস কৰিবলৈ কোনো এটা ঠাই দিব৷

৫আৰু যদি কোনো এজন লোকে হত্যা হোৱা জনৰ ৰক্তপাতৰ প্ৰতিশোধ লোৱাৰ প্ৰয়াসেৰে আহে, তেতিয়া সেই নৰবধীক নগৰবোৰৰ লোকসকলে কৰ্তৃপক্ষৰ হাতত শোধাই নিদিব৷ তেওঁলোকে এইদৰে কৰা উচিত ন’হব, কিয়নো তেওঁ অনিচ্ছাকৃত ভাৱেহে নিজৰ চুবুৰীয়াক বধ কৰিলে, আগেয়ে তেওঁলৈ কোনো হিংসা ভাব নাছিল।

৬সেই কালৰ মহা-পুৰোহিতৰ মৃত্যু নোহোৱা পৰ্য্যন্ত আৰু সেই নৰবধীয়ে বিচাৰৰ বাবে সমাজৰ সাক্ষাতে থিয় নোহোৱালৈকে, তেওঁ সেই নগৰতে বাস কৰিব লাগিব৷ তেতিয়া তেওঁ যি নগৰৰ পৰা পলাই আহিছিল, নিজৰ সেই নগৰ আৰু নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ উলটি যাব পাৰিব’।”

৮আৰু যৰ্দ্দনৰ সিপাৰে যিৰীহোৰ পুৱফালে ৰূবেণ ফৈদৰ ভিতৰত থকা সমথলৰ মৰুপ্ৰান্তত বেচৰ, গাদ ফৈদৰ ভিতৰত থকা গিলিয়দত ৰমোৎ আৰু মনচি ফৈদৰ ভিতৰৰ বাচানত থকা গোলন নামেৰে ঠাই সমূহ নিৰূপণ কৰিলে।
