Joshua 10

Adoni-Zedek, raja Yerusalem, mendengar bahwa Yosua sudah merebut dan menghancurkan sama sekali kota Ai, serta membunuh rajanya seperti yang telah dilakukannya terhadap Yerikho dan rajanya. Ia mendengar juga bahwa orang Gibeon sudah mengadakan perjanjian persahabatan dengan orang-orang Israel dan tinggal di tengah-tengah mereka.
2 and to fear much for city great: large Gibeon like/as one city [the] kingdom and for he/she/it great: large from [the] Ai and all human her mighty man
Penduduk Yerusalem takut sekali, sebab Gibeon adalah kota yang besar; sama besarnya dengan kota-kota yang mempunyai raja, bahkan lebih besar dari Ai. Orang-orangnya pun pejuang-pejuang yang pandai bertempur.
3 and to send: depart Adoni-zedek Adoni-zedek king Jerusalem to(wards) Hoham king Hebron and to(wards) Piram king Jarmuth and to(wards) Japhia king Lachish and to(wards) Debir king Eglon to/for to say
Sebab itu Adoni-Zedek mengutus orang kepada Raja Hoham di Hebron, Raja Piream di Yarmut, Raja Yafia di Lakhis, dan Raja Debir di Eglon, dengan membawa pesan ini,
4 to ascend: rise to(wards) me and to help me and to smite [obj] Gibeon for to ally with Joshua and with son: descendant/people Israel
"Marilah membantu saya menyerang Gibeon, sebab orang-orangnya sudah mengadakan perjanjian persahabatan dengan Yosua dan orang Israel."
5 and to gather and to ascend: rise five king [the] Amorite king Jerusalem king Hebron king Jarmuth king Lachish king Eglon they(masc.) and all camp their and to camp upon Gibeon and to fight upon her
Maka kelima raja Amori itu, yaitu raja Yerusalem, Hebron, Yarmut, Lakhis dan Eglon bergabung, lalu dengan seluruh tentara mereka, mereka mengepung dan menyerang Gibeon.
6 and to send: depart human Gibeon to(wards) Joshua to(wards) [the] camp [the] Gilgal [to] to/for to say not to slacken hand your from servant/slave your to ascend: rise to(wards) us haste and to save [emph?] to/for us and to help us for to gather to(wards) us all king [the] Amorite to dwell [the] mountain: hill country
Orang-orang Gibeon mengirim berita ini kepada Yosua di perkemahan di Gilgal, "Jangan biarkan kami sendirian, Tuan! Datanglah segera membantu kami, sebab tentara dari semua raja Amori di daerah pegunungan sudah bergabung melawan kami!"

Lalu Yosua dan seluruh tentaranya, termasuk pasukan-pasukannya yang terbaik, berangkat dari Gilgal untuk berperang.
8 and to say LORD to(wards) Joshua not to fear from them for in/on/with hand: power your to give: give them not to stand: stand man: anyone from them in/on/with face: before your
TUHAN berkata kepada Yosua, "Jangan takut kepada mereka. Kemenangan sudah Kuberikan kepadamu, oleh sebab itu tidak seorang pun dari mereka dapat bertahan melawanmu."
9 and to come (in): come to(wards) them Joshua suddenly all [the] night to ascend: rise from [the] Gilgal
Semalam-malaman Yosua dengan pasukannya bergerak dari Gilgal ke Gibeon, lalu menyerang orang-orang Amori secara mendadak.
10 and to confuse them LORD to/for face: before Israel and to smite them wound great: large in/on/with Gibeon and to pursue them way: road ascent Beth-horon Beth-horon and to smite them till Azekah and till Makkedah
TUHAN membuat orang-orang Amori menjadi panik ketika melihat tentara Israel. Banyak orang Amori dibunuh di Gibeon, dan yang masih hidup dikejar menuruni lereng gunung di Bet-Horon sampai sejauh Azeka dan Makeda di sebelah selatan.

Pada waktu orang-orang Amori sedang menuruni lereng gunung itu karena melarikan diri dari tentara Israel, TUHAN menjatuhkan hujan es yang besar-besar dari langit ke atas mereka sepanjang jalan sampai di Azeka. Yang mati ditimpa hujan es itu jauh lebih banyak dari yang dibunuh oleh orang Israel.

Pada hari itu ketika TUHAN memberikan kemenangan kepada orang Israel terhadap orang Amori, Yosua berbicara kepada TUHAN. Dan di hadapan orang Israel, Yosua berkata, "Hai matahari! Berhentilah di atas Gibeon. Dan kau bulan! Janganlah berpindah dari atas Lembah Ayalon."

Maka matahari berhenti dan bulan tidak berpindah sampai orang Israel selesai mengalahkan musuh-musuhnya. Peristiwa ini tertulis dalam Buku Yasar. Sehari penuh matahari berhenti di tengah-tengah langit, dan lama sekali baru terbenam.

Tidak pernah terjadi dan juga tidak akan terjadi suatu hari seperti hari itu, bahwa TUHAN mengikuti keinginan manusia. TUHAN berperang di pihak Israel!
15 and to return: return Joshua and all Israel with him to(wards) [the] camp [the] Gilgal [to]
Sesudah pertempuran itu, Yosua bersama-sama dengan tentaranya kembali ke perkemahan di Gilgal.
16 and to flee five [the] king [the] these and to hide in/on/with cave in/on/with Makkedah
Tetapi kelima raja Amori itu lolos dan bersembunyi dalam sebuah gua di Makeda.
17 and to tell to/for Joshua to/for to say to find five [the] king to hide in/on/with cave in/on/with Makkedah
Orang melihat mereka, dan memberitahukan tempat persembunyian mereka kepada Yosua.

20 and to be like/as to end: finish Joshua and son: descendant/people Israel to/for to smite them wound great: large much till to finish they and [the] survivor to escape from them and to come (in): come to(wards) city [the] fortification
Yosua dan orang Israel membunuh orang-orang Amori itu, tetapi ada juga di antara mereka yang lari ke kota mereka mencari perlindungan, sehingga tidak terbunuh.

23 and to make: do so and to come out: send to(wards) him [obj] five [the] king [the] these from [the] cave [obj] king Jerusalem [obj] king Hebron [obj] king Jarmuth [obj] king Lachish [obj] king Eglon
Gua itu pun dibuka, lalu raja-raja Yerusalem, Hebron, Yarmut, Lakhis dan Eglon digiring keluar,
24 and to be like/as to come out: send they [obj] [the] king [the] these to(wards) Joshua and to call: call to Joshua to(wards) all man Israel and to say to(wards) chief human [the] battle [the] to go: went with him to present: come to set: put [obj] foot your upon neck [the] king [the] these and to present: come and to set: put [obj] foot their upon neck their
dan dibawa kepada Yosua. Lalu Yosua memanggil semua orang Israel berkumpul, kemudian memerintahkan supaya para perwira yang ikut bertempur dengan dia datang menginjak batang leher raja-raja itu. Para perwira itu pun datang dan menginjak batang leher raja-raja itu.
25 and to say to(wards) them Joshua not to fear and not to to be dismayed to strengthen: strengthen and to strengthen for thus to make: do LORD to/for all enemy your which you(m. p.) to fight [obj] them
Sesudah itu, Yosua berkata kepada para perwiranya, "Jangan cemas dan jangan takut. Hendaklah kalian yakin dan berani, sebab beginilah caranya TUHAN akan memperlakukan semua musuhmu."
26 and to smite them Joshua after so and to die them and to hang them upon five tree and to be to hang upon [the] tree till [the] evening
Lalu Yosua membunuh raja-raja itu dan menggantung mereka pada lima tonggak. Mayat mereka dibiarkan di situ sampai sore.
27 and to be to/for time to come (in): (sun)set [the] sun to command Joshua and to go down them from upon [the] tree and to throw them to(wards) [the] cave which to hide there and to set: make stone great: large upon lip [the] cave till bone: same [the] day [the] this
Pada waktu matahari terbenam, atas perintah Yosua, mayat-mayat itu diturunkan lalu dilemparkan ke dalam gua yang tadinya dipakai oleh raja-raja itu untuk tempat bersembunyi. Kemudian batu besar-besar ditempatkan di mulut gua itu. Sampai sekarang batu-batu itu masih di situ.

Sesudah itu, Yosua dengan tentaranya bergerak terus dari Makeda ke Libna dan menyerang Libna.
30 and to give: give LORD also [obj] her in/on/with hand: power Israel and [obj] king her and to smite her to/for lip: edge sword and [obj] all [the] soul: person which in/on/with her not to remain in/on/with her survivor and to make: do to/for king her like/as as which to make: do to/for king Jericho
TUHAN memberi juga kemenangan kepada orang Israel atas kota ini dan rajanya. Tidak seorang pun yang dibiarkan hidup; semua orang di dalam kota itu dibunuh. Yosua memperlakukan raja kota itu seperti ia memperlakukan raja Yerikho.
31 and to pass Joshua and all Israel with him from Libnah Lachish [to] and to camp upon her and to fight in/on/with her
Kemudian Yosua dan tentaranya maju dari Libna ke Lakhis. Mereka mengepung kota itu lalu menyerbunya.
32 and to give: give LORD [obj] Lachish in/on/with hand: power Israel and to capture her in/on/with day [the] second and to smite her to/for lip: edge sword and [obj] all [the] soul: person which in/on/with her like/as all which to make: do to/for Libnah
TUHAN memberikan kepada orang Israel kemenangan atas Lakhis dalam pertempuran pada hari kedua. Apa yang mereka lakukan di Libna, mereka lakukan juga di Lakhis; tidak seorang pun yang dibiarkan hidup, semuanya dibunuh.

Kota itu dan rajanya serta semua kota lain di sekitar situ direbut oleh Yosua. Semua orang di situ dibunuh. Yosua memperlakukan Debir dan rajanya seperti ia memperlakukan Hebron dan Libna serta rajanya.
40 and to smite Joshua [obj] all [the] land: country/planet [the] mountain: hill country and [the] Negeb and [the] Shephelah and [the] slope and [obj] all king their not to remain survivor and [obj] all [the] breath to devote/destroy like/as as which to command LORD God Israel
Seluruh negeri itu ditaklukkan oleh Yosua. Dalam hanya satu kali bertempur, Yosua mengalahkan semua raja itu dan merebut daerah-daerah kekuasaan mereka, karena TUHAN, Allah Israel, bertempur untuk Israel.
43 and to return: return Joshua and all Israel with him to(wards) [the] camp [the] Gilgal [to]
Sesudah itu, Yosua kembali dengan tentaranya ke perkemahan di Gilgal.
