खेत नष्ट हो गये हैं, ज़मीन सूख गई है; अनाज नष्ट हो गया है, नई दाखमधु सूख गई है, जैतून का तेल समाप्त होता है.

हे किसानो, निराश हो, हे अंगूर की लता लगानेवालो, विलाप करो; गेहूं और जौ के लिये दुःख मनाओ, क्योंकि खेत की फसल नाश हो गई है.

अंगूर की लता सूख गई है और अंजीर का पेड़ मुरझा गया है; अनार, खजूर तथा सेब के पेड़— मैदान के सब पेड़—सूख गये हैं. इसमें संदेह नहीं कि लोगों का आनंद जाता रहा है.
