Después de esto Job comenzó a hablar, maldiciendo el día de su nacimiento.

Y dijo:
3 to perish day to beget in/on/with him and [the] night to say to conceive great man
“Que el día en que nací sea borrado, así como la noche en que se anunció que un niño había sido concebido.
4 [the] day [the] he/she/it to be darkness not to seek him god from above and not to shine upon him light
Que ese día se convierta en tinieblas. Que el Dios de arriba no lo recuerde. Que no brille la luz sobre él.
5 to redeem: redeem him darkness and shadow to dwell upon him cloud to terrify him darkness day
Cúbranlo con oscuridad y sombra de muerte. Una nube negra debería ensombrecerlo. Debería ser tan aterrador como la oscuridad de un eclipse de día.
6 [the] night [the] he/she/it to take: take him darkness not to rejoice in/on/with day year in/on/with number month not to come (in): come
Borren esa noche como si nunca hubiera existido. No la cuenten en el calendario. Que no tenga día en ningún mes.

“Que en esa noche no nazcan niños, que no se escuchen sonidos de felicidad.

Que la maldigan los que maldicen ciertos días, los que tienen el poder de sacar al Leviatán.
9 to darken star twilight his to await to/for light and nothing and not to see: see in/on/with eyelid dawn
Que sus estrellas de la madrugada permanezcan oscuras. Que al buscar la luz, no vea ninguna, que no vea el resplandor del amanecer
10 for not to shut door belly: womb my and to hide trouble from eye my
porque no cerró el vientre de mi madre para impedirme ver los problemas.
11 to/for what? not from womb to die from belly: womb to come out: produce and to die
“¿Por qué no nací muerto? ¿Por qué no morí al nacer?
12 why? to meet me knee and what? breast for to suckle
¿Por qué hubo un regazo para que me acostara, y pechos para que me amamantaran?
13 for now to lie down: lay down and to quiet to sleep then to rest to/for me
Ahora estaría acostado en paz, durmiendo y descansando
14 with king and to advise land: country/planet [the] to build desolation to/for them
junto con los reyes de este mundo y sus funcionarios cuyos palacios ahora yacen en ruinas;
15 or with ruler gold to/for them [the] to fill house: home their silver: money

“Mis gemidos son el pan que como, y mis lágrimas son el agua que bebo.
25 for dread to dread and to come me and which to fear to come (in): come to/for me
Porque todo lo que temía me ha sucedido; todo lo que temía me ha sobrevenido.
26 not to prosper and not to quiet and not to rest and to come (in): come turmoil
No tengo paz, ni tranquilidad, ni descanso. Lo único que siento es rabia”.
